Im currently playing tracer a lot more now, but i used to main sombra. Hit level 90 with her and let me tell you tracer counters sombra alot. Once sombra tries hacking you, you can disrupt it but shooting her, if she translocates you can easily track her. Sombra gets severely countered by her
@@vexxskii all you do with Sombra is stop the Tracer from existing and killing your team you don't try and kill the Tracer all you do is just sit next to the person the Tracer is trying to kill and you stop the Tracer from doing that
weird as it sounds they counter each other tracer also can chase down your translocator (if tracer is the 3rd party one)
It's a problem that Tracer's biggest counter is herself. But I think the next patch will solve most of those issues since she's terrible against armor again.
Soldier pharah sombra soujorn are all valid picks against tracer, it’s not about countering her it’s about being good enough to kill her
@@skyler7017 I think Sombra and Soldier are terrible, I'm not a great tracer and I can farm Soldiers and Sombra all day. Let's say it is a trade. Phara is annoying cause she's too far to treat her with your dmg, most of the time you wasted cd on her and she kills you with a random direct hit 😅

I love maining tracer, I hate other tracers, soldier, junk rat, and Winston ..sombra is just annoying but can’t ever kill me.
Junkrat one-shot combo still works on her, or random spam hit makes her back off. I'd almost put JR over Mei
As a tracer I think the biggest counter is a paranoid mcree holding flank every now and then stopping me from doing a good flank
As a tracer, nothing scares me more than a hanzo

@@SHUTENSEPC nah venture has abysmal CD cycles so u can just kill her inbetween + she has a huge hitbox. She also doesnt have enough mobility to chase you after blinking away
as a tracer main:
i dont struggle against mei, torb, or cassidy.
here's the chars that give me trouble:
1. soldier: he's EXTREMELY annoying. and his rocket one shots with melee.
2. another tracer: if she outskills me, it's over.
3. torb turret, kinda. its not hard to destroy tho
4. symmetra is annoying to play against.
rocket + melee does not oneshot against 175hp

Cass and Sombra too. Sombra can be very effective helping her backline
Cass and Soldier are effective too. Cass has hinder and high headshot dmg within tracers effective range and soldier is really good if you can aim and can utilize your rockets well.
sombra can keep up with her tbh. sure it’s hard to hack but you can always ruin her flanks and stuff
Cass and ash are my answers if not sombra. Seems weird but i can headshot tracer fairly well and if she takes any damage before engaging she'll just die. It was easier when she was 150hp but i still dont mind the matchup on dps. It is a nightmare on support though

in plat maybe. For good tracer player cass's hitbox is really easy to oneclip(two clip) + melee

If you think hacking a tracer is viable then I have a bridge to sell you. I can see how she could be okay since if you land virus you force recall or force her out, and emp is pretty good against her, but raw hack is not it.
@@corndogguy2373once tracer recalls, landing a virus on her is almost a guarantee kill. Also regular hack on a tracer can be enough to force a recall/stop a push
@@mrnoname7370 sure but it is still a skillshot, if recall is down (or even if its up) and you hook tracer it is a nearly guarunteed kill, does that make hog a counter? And I thought I implied this very heavily, but if you are getting solo hacked as tracer mid fight, you have some practing to do lol.

@@corndogguy2373 you dont need to focus on 'raw hack'ing her. sombras strength is being invis. just fuck with her and you can make her 1v1 flanks a 2v1 and then chase after recall if you want

@@Marco11502 Mathematically, having tracer as the #1 counter to tracer means that tracer has no bad matchups. Tracer versus tracer is a 50-50 matchup by definition. If tracer is the BEST response to tracer, that means every other matchup must be worse than 50-50. Therefore there are no counters to tracer.
That doesn't mean there are actually no counters to tracer, but rather that the video has flawed logic.
