- Thena is here, and she's another 2-cost card with a ton of power scaling potential. This deck utilizes her alongside a typical tempo move shell with some powerful tech cards, and proved strong enough to take the #1 spot on the infinite leaderboard at the start of the new season.

Power Estimate: I had a crazy strong 78% win rate with this deck early in the season, which was definitely bolstered by some bot games, but was still strong against real opponents too. It was also played to the #1 spot in Infinite by being such a fast and effective deck on day one. I can't promise that Thena will hold up as more data rolls in, as she feels crazy strong a lot of the time, but also feels awkward on occasion. That awkwardness might go away as decks are perfected around her.

I find it funny how, due to how often Killmonger is used to trigger Nova's buff, in multiple videos Regis has just referred to the +1 power from Nova as "Killmonger".

Dude it’s actually performing great for me as well! Well done Zombs brother! Just pushed past 93 now after having fun with Gilgamesh and a Namora Wong deck through the 70s. This deck reminds me of a sera tech play style! Ravonna is 100% at if not past the Zabu prime point lol, nonetheless I’m all here for it! Great deck bro
@@garethstead7527 some are more important than others, but here are some suggestions I've made for subs.
The most common subs people ask me about are sage and USAgent and i think the deck can still function well enough without them. Agent can be a 2/3 of choice, I like Cable since it can give you something else to do with awk early hands. And for Sage I think you can use another large stat stick like Galdiator or just a big body with a solid effect like Ghost to make sure you always throw prio for your tech cards.

thena is better when people notice they don't need to scale her every turn. a 2/7 is often enough while you develop other lanes. decks in this game suck when you're trying to do a single thing
Not when the synergy is good ie destroy, move, discard, bounce (to some extent)

Thena is great if you scale her a third time on turn 6 cuz she can't be shanged as her power is end of turn, but yeah 2/7 is plenty most of the time

I just picked up Thena and I've been playing her in a Hope Angela little movers deck that shares at least half of its cards with this one and it's been super fun.

I appreciated your breakdown at the end about playing certain lines. Coming from playing fighting games, there’s knowing how to *play the game* and then there’s playing *the game*. You have to know the rules well enough to break them too
Love this deck I hit infinite with it by far the easiest climb I've had in marvel snap with this deck. That final turn Luke and Shadow King combo really catches alot of other decks off guard.
Thena's archetype be making me have some PTSD flashback with Shadowverse's initial Forestcraft archetype

I'm gonna be honest,I thought her ability was to give you 3 ENERGY, not power. I was low-key head scratching on regis's last video like "Isn't this busted to high hell?"
Not taking Thena into consideration, I'm missing three other cards from the list. So there is no point of even trying to get there
I’m almost infinite with a pretty good move package with her. No nocturna (she would be nice prob) but just vision, night crawler and Jeff with a red hulk as back up

At first I thought Thena was just a worse angela, but now I think Thena is just way better. Angela you need move synergies to really use her well, but with Thena you can play to other lanes while Thena just gets huge by herself in 1 lane.
i see her more similar to Hit Monkey, just instead of depend on one turn, she can be more spread out, but ya have fun with her so far too
I wouldn't say she's better or worse than Angela. With Angela, you build in those synergies so you can keep popping cards into her lane. With Thena, you build in 2-card curves to make sure she's easy to proc. Depending on the deck you want to play, 1 may be much better than the other or both may be good

I put together a Thena/darkhawk deck upon picking her up. This has been the fastest I’ve climbed the ladder and I might actually hit infinite early this time around
Mine kinda the same deck I use kitty,collector,Shana,havoc,echo,Angela,mirage,kazar,dazzler,caeisra and agent 13 low cost and back up plans all the way thru working really well for me so far

I made one change and I love the deck. I replaced Ravona with Claw. I found I rarely needed the Ravona discout. The Claw destroys Prof X decks. Play your scaling card left to encourage them to Prof X one of the other lanes and then Claw for the win.
I have the same deck but with Havoc instead of Sage, it works even better imo
Sage has felt like the weakest card to me, too many cards at 3 power on our side.
I put in Valentina. Works pretty well since Luke and SK are already there to negate the power reduction. Kinda makes Ravonna feel less necessary though.

37:10 You should do what you need to do. In chess, it's ok to sacrifice the queen as long as you do it to win the game. Its the same here. You put cage in the center for stats... not it's ability.

Yes, she changes the location whenever she moves, no matter what causes her to move.

It is not just you. My capture card freaks out sometimes and I don't notice.
When I finally did notice and fix it, I screwed up the sound. So half the video is deep fried and half the video has muted game sounds.

Damn, this deck is expensive. Even aside from Thena, I don't have USAgent, sage, or nocturne. Im tempted to get thena since im also missing grandmaster, but im not sure.
Agree. Many recent releases are staples. So difficult to keep up, if you don't spend $.
Thena is so good... If you have the Angela-Kitty-Elsa package in your collection and you like playing those decks, highly consider getting the card... I actually just reached Infinite rank with another Thena deck (TLSG released yesterday a deck with Thena, but I swapped Jean with Spidey) and I really enjoyed the deck

I do have the rest of that package, I was pretty near collection complete back before they stopped doing series drops much, so I have most cards pre discard season (the one with corvus amd proxima). It's just the last few seasons where I've had to start picking more carefully, cuz the last 3 weeks where I used keys, the new card was in cache 4 of 4.
@@mj2815 The phrase "keep up" makes me chuckle a bit because, yeah, it seems to be a greatly exaggerated characteristic of the Marvel Snap community to want to play only the top meta lists all the time. I certainly do see the pressure to buy in to new releases in other card games as well, but nowhere near the almost obsessive degree that I see in Snap. Invariably there are multiple comments on every video asking what can be swapped in for this or that, as if there's just no motivation to get creative and have a little fun with it. My advice is to have patience and just enjoy the game, but more and more it seems nobody is really interested in that.

Anything small really works. You could run silk for more movement, quake or scarlet witch for more location control, spiderman to mess up your opponent sometimes.

I don't understand the purpose of Ravonna here. Only Angela, Thena and Sage and they are all cheap already.

game is at a point that you just cannot play competitevely without a bunch of very recent cards, thats a power creep state very unhealthy for any game :/
this deck is all over the meta, and was already a tier 1 before, and you require nocturne, sage, us agent and thena from recent releases, 1/3 of the deck, not to mention the others older series 4/5 cards, and the deck has very few counters too, you either heavilly hinders your priority to hit kitty with shadow king or shang, or you do a lackluste rplay of hitting only angela/thena with one of them, since they usually dont stack the same lane with 2 wincons
the playstyle is kinda like solitaire hela, you play your game with veeeeeery few space of interference from your opponent, and you either win cause you hit your draws, or you lose cause you dont, meanwhile your opponent is playing his game and trying to combo his shit, i dont know others opinions, but it seems like the game should provide meaningful interaction between players
Marvel snap is a trap. Most people put money to keep up. And they will not stop because it would mean for them that all the money put forward will have been spent for nothing, or almost.
It’s a CCG designed for mobile. Nothing new under the sun.
And the momentum accelerates nicely every month, just look at the next Leaks. Stopping paying (or playing a looooot) means the end of "competition", or at least competitive fun.
The new season of Rick and Morty is really good. They have a new voice actor that in some scene you might notice the difference but for the most part you can't tell

easy mode if you have the all new cards, whoou is like, if you wanna have fun in the ladder to get to infinit, you have 35 keys for spoitlight, all the cards and buy de new card of the season. the old decks are useless. Fuck marvel snap economic system, im so fucking tired, every season the ladder is lest and lest fun, all the people and content creator going to infinit in 2 days like if other mortal have 6 hour oR 7 to play the game per day. So tired of this game concept, more more more tech carts to counter, at least this season are more cards to do combos, but nop, every deck need a fucking tech card counter, because this game is not have fun, is piss off the rival every time.
