You know, I'm studying to become a prosecutor and someday a judge, so that was especially funny to me.
Reality is worse though. One youtuber got repeatedly punched in the head by a guy yelling "I'll kill you", and the police just said "Oh the guy is from a different state? Well, that is too much effort to work with, case closed.". Luckily the youtuber sued the guy and is currently in a legal battle over it. So at least individuals can go for people who punch others, but the police won't because it is really not a big crime. Why bother judges with harmless things like attempt at murder?

Well supposedly details of ongoing investigations and some methods of acquiring information which legally speaking are fine....but this is the guy who was involved with Iran contra so take it with a grain of salt.
Probably to remove confidential evidence from the government that should not be released to the public. I think releasing the redacted version was the right call.
