Don't Waste your Money! Buy the 2022 Honda CBR1000RR over other Superbikes.

  • You get more bike for your dollar on the CBR 1000RR in 2022 than other Superbikes. Find out why:
It is a 999.8cc, inline 4 liquid cooled engine with 16 valves DOHC that belts out 189bhp.
The 0-100 acceleration is 3 seconds
Top speed is of course the mythical number of 300kmph/186mph
The suspension is where the Honda stands head and shoulders above the other litre class motorcycles in this price range. In the front it is a 43mm Showa Big piston inverted shocks. It is fully adjustable, rebound, compression and preload.
It sits very aggressive and committed. You are in a crouched engaged position at all times. The clip ons and the rear set footpegs ensure that you remain focused at all times. But at the same time, I dare admit that among all the modern superbikes in 2022, this is the most ergonomic of all.
The quality of suspension, the lightweight twinspar frame, the overall lightweight bike and the amount of tech wizardry and rider aids that are built into this motorcycle that the CBR1000rr is arguably one of the most desirable superbikes out there and certainly at the lowest price point given the features.

They may not have been particularly successful in WSBK but they won a lot in MotoGP. I suppose that's where all the glamour and attention is.

True. MotoGP had the glamour with Rossi riding. Now, I am not so sure anymore. However, WSBK bikes are the real deal because they are riding bikes that regular people ride.

@@suicidekings8274 I have ridden various generations of CBRs. They handle pretty good actually. And they are as fast as this category allows, for example the 10R, R1, GSXR. The differences are minor. But this year, the CBR, you are saving money, a good amount, compared to the R1 or the 10R.

I just bought this bike a couple months ago. I've been a R6 and R1 guy, but not so much after the cross-plane. I'm not racing this thing, i put around on the street and have fun. I agree with all these points in the video and its well laid out, and due to supply chain issues in the US, i took a chance and went with this bike versus a zx10. I did not like how restricted the bike came from the factory and i was initially a little disappointed. I recently had the ECU flashed, and I now i am thoroughly impressed, this thing flies! By far my favorite bike thus far right, wrong, or indifferent!!

@@ImTheBoss914 Pretty much the ecu caps the amount the throttle body opens at certain rpm’s. A lot of bikes are restricted to less than 20% open at high rpm’s. Long story short that ecu flash will make it so the throttle body is pretty much 100% open at 100% throttle at all rpm’s instead of only 20% open. My entire life it has been Honda for me. They have NEVER let me down.
All the 1 Liter bikes are in the same category give or take a few Hp or Mph.
Now you're telling me i can get my Honda reliably for LESS money ?
That's a no brainier for me.
I will not be on the track. Most likely never go faster than 170 miles an hour anyway that's plenty fast for me. Time to trade in my CB750.
By the way Honda has excellent resale value even on all the Honda cars I owned over the many years. My first Honda bike was back in 1984. My first new Honda Civic 1987. 350,000 trouble free miles the only reason I traded it in was I was tired of looking at it. I'm actually still driving a Honda Accord now it is currently 4 years old only had to purchase one tire for it.

Good to see you here. Thank you for your comments. Okay let me clarify: at least for the US, in this category, this is the cheapest SBK available currently. It is cheaper than the 10R by around $1600 with similar features, electronics package, rider aids etc. It is cheaper than the R1 by a $1000, again similar electronics package. The only bike that is clearly cheaper than the Honda is the GSXR. But then the suspension on the GSXR is not something that I would swear by. And its very, very rare for a Honda to be almost the most economical in the category, most of the times in my life I've seen only the opposite of it.
Its also good they have 2 levels in the Liter class now, double R and triple R. They can focus on what's important now.
Even most of the time in the past decade, I noticed the CBR 1000 (RR or not in its name) was understated yet brilliant in isolation. Often with meaty midrange, well sorted suspension, and a balanced approach to everything.
