What a time we live in for smash, where Bayonetta is the underdog
coming from a bayonetta main i couldnt agree more i think shes such an underated high tier pick she just takes a LOT of work i think you pretty much just have to solo main bayo to optimize her a very very high skill celling with decent award in ultimate not to mention she has some really good matchups with the top tiers in this game like she beats out kazuya and min min and goes even with a lot of the others
it must be difficult to not constantly spam the same two burst options the entire game
@@nathanlevesque7812 did you watch the video.. im guessing the 2 burst options your talking about are abk and witch twist which are very easily countered by literally just not hitting shield mindlessly and not emptying jumping like an idiot get good and learn the matchup if you think playing bayo at a high level is easy you do it

The Smash 4 DLC Characters are rising back up
I think the combination of her high skill cap & the fact she’s anti-meta (she either beats or goes even with every meta relevant character eg. ROB, Kazuya, Steve, MinMin, Wario, Palu, etc) made her slowly creep up higher and higher. She’s also a hard MU check. She forces you to play HER game eg. Being grounded or respecting witch time
She reminds me of peach/sheik she just has so many versatile options she’ll just keep growing. She’s one of the few characters in the game that uses ALL of her moves (except f-tilt lol but even that has a use)
She does not go even with Steve

Opinions on Bayo have been at an all-time high recently. She has a lot of reps at the high level, and the optimization is pushing her so far. She's very anti-meta, with good mus against some meta-relavent characters. Even a year ago she was considered mid tier, but now she's widely considered to be high tier. I've seen some people say she's top tier, which I don't agree with, but she's only getting better so in the future, I can see it.

@@manumanumanuma She was mid tier because she wasn't optimized enough. Now that the Bayo mains have optimized her gameplan, she's finding a lot of success in the meta
@manumanumanuma lack of kill power, one out of shield otion(which still sucks) bad neutral game, horrible end lag on specials, and shield camping immediately beats her which is horrible in a game like this where everyone you face does it because they get rewarded for it.

12:43 that fair 1-2 into up b is a mixup offstage, you can't cancel fair 1 or 2 into another move like an FGC. And fair 1/2 are very minus on shield, Fox and Cloud can just up smash OOS to punish that regardless of your drift.

Bayonetta's essentiality is based on skill and precision. Don't become obsessed with always winning, as other characters can be more effective with less effort. Kazuya is a great challenge. If you land near it with endlag, you will die in the blink of an eye, since Bayonetta is very light. If you are looking for consistent victories, there are better options, unless you want to compete in legend mode xD. I use it exclusively to enjoy.
Shes good because she destroys so many good charachters. The shit she can do to ROB and bowser is wild

9:00 Luigi, JigglyPuff, Marthcina, Snake, Pokemon Trainer, Little Mac, Duck Hunt, Ryu, Ken, Bayo, Yoshi are the characters that have frame 1 escape options in the air.

Only a few of them are without much commitment. Ryu and Ken's focus is very non committal but loses to multi-hits, as is Yoshi's double jump (even though he takes full damage unlike Ryu/Ken).
Slightly above that I'd rank Snake and Duck Hunt (trades with grenade and can/frisbee)
Medium commitment are Bayo (air dodge) and Pokemon trainer (Switch out).
And some are extremely committal; Luigi (Cyclone), Marcina (Up-b, Dolphin Slash), Jigglypuff (Rest, invincible start-up)

shes an honest high tier that requires a lot of practice and is hard to play at high level, u speak as if shes top 1 when u say class of her own when in reality shes not even in the top 15
I think if Bayo had more of a playerbase she would drop on the Overall Score list

I hate her. Solely because you have to SDI so much vs her.
Any form of mashing buttons super fast just seems so dated and forced. It's the same with moves that bury and mashing out of grabs. Why do we still have this shit in games in 2024? It fucks with people hands, it fucks with peoples controllers, and its also very unfair; a lot of people just cannot mash very fast whereas others can do it effortlessly, it depends on how your muscles are wired and can only be practiced to a small extent.
