I was born is 1967 and have a sister who is 16 years my senior. As a toddler, she and I would dance around to big girls don't cry and other Vali classics. I thank goodness that she introduced me to wonderful music.
We are the same age. 1967, Class of 85. I was pretty much a new waver but I listened to KRTH, K-EARTH 101 here in LA and they weere oldies 50s and 60s music then and listened to Valli and the Four Seasons and all the 50s rock and doo wop music. Saw Valli in concert about 32 years ago.
And Elvis Presley introduce me to music and they destroyed him in 1967 he met the wrong person and he was not even 18 or 19 years old. Greene county New York is the wrong place New York woman Priscilla Presley was the wrong person for him to marry and it's disgusting that these people are in control of everything for decades. They get leaders to be stupid.
His guitar player got deep in debt with the mob. Frankie bailed him out. But the mob forced him to move to Vegas. He became Joe Pecis personal assistant.😊
I always wondered about this I wonder if Michael Franzese has anything to say about this. If Franzese knows anything more about Frankie Valli and any deeper connection to the mafia. I think if you grow up in a heavily populated mafia area you have no choice, you may not be in the mafia but you will have encounters with them, good or bad. I love his music. I saw him in concert about 32 years ago.
Obviously the mob today is nothing like it was back in the day, but the best way to avoid them is the same as avoiding problems in prison. Don’t borrow money, don’t gamble and don’t get involved in drugs, and you will be fine.
A lot of stories you hear about the mob kinda looking after people/artists that had nothing to do with the Mafia way back then, if they liked and respected you, generally are true. That's just the way it was. Campagna family looked after my Jewish grandmother in Chicago in the 1930's, ALL the active gangs knew don't go into her restaurant in Wheaton, period. She didn't have any of their vending machines, juke boxes, and none of the protection "rent" the Chicago Outfit generally forced you into paying. That in itself was kind of a big deal for anybody not in 'the family', let alone a Jewish woman.
Lmao! “ think they call me up …. “ I don’t think I could lose two kids & divorced in 6 months! I get it about drinking, to cover pain in recovery now! 🎶🎶awesome man & so happy u found love again & changed your life around!! 🤗😍👏👍🏽‼️
"I pay my taxes" almost verbatim what Frank Costello said while on the stand during the Mob trials of the 1950's. I am Italian on my Dad's side. I have heard stories about guys my Grandfather knew. He worked in a bakery until my Dad helped him to retire, so I would seriously doubt he ever was associated, but the old saying was he knew a guy who knew a guy. I mean what was Frankie supposed to do? Turn a drink down from Gatti? Thats a sign of disrespect

Dan's a great interviewer. Calmly asks a question, listens, and smiles approvingly. People open up.
That’s what an old school democrat does, ask.. then shut up and listen. Those days are all gone.
Lately Frankie appeared to doze off while singing, but for the purposes of this interview, he’s lively!
It doesn't hurt to have a Mafia guy as your "caretaker" Frankie. No disrespect intended. I have to also say, I loved hearing you sing!
FV and the Four seasons are iconic
His guitar player got deep in debt with the mob. Frankie bailed him out. But the mob forced him to move to Vegas. He became Joe Pecis personal assistant.😊
Great interview. Frankie Valli is an American treasure.
The fact that he's older than Elvis! And the hair. That majestic hair!
Are you sure that his actual hair? The hairline looks pretty suspect to me.

The very 1st concert I ever saw was Franki Valli performing at Six Flags Theme Park in NJ. That was 1976! He's had a long career!
Yup, i first saw him there in the 90s. I'm glad I did.
Frankie is still badass at 90.

He is 80 here.

It may be informative but I recoil at asking questions of celebrities regarding their painful episodes.
It’s rusty from the Sopranos!
that is the way it was waaay b4 Frankie. sinatra talked about it. its more Atlantic City. some of the original 4 seasons were in rahway prison

good reply from Frankie to put the know nothing Dan in his place
The Mayor of Munchkinland.
But, Frankie, you never had Black guys in your band. The mob hated that, especially when a black guy fronted the band. I know this to be true.
They loved Sammy Davis Jr
Because he was Italian from the First Ward and he grew up around his own. Why would he have black guys in his band you goof.
❤❤❤❤❤
Asking myself if watching this had any value
frankie valli? More like death valley

Hes so teenie tiny of a gentleman.. the both of em together might hit 6 ft😊 so petite.
He must owe them money because they still parade his animated corpse on stage.
