It seems that this really comes into play in the top few rounds of the magazine, i.e. those that affect the cartridge that is lining up to be fed. I didn't catch whether you tried shaving the ribs just for the first inch or two to see if that was all that was needed to ensure good alignment for feeding. Did the ribectomy adversely affect the no-tilt feature of the follower? Good information, by the way. Thanks.
So once you've 'modified' your mag in this way, will it still feed 223 reliably? Or is this now a dedicated 300AAC mag ONLY??? If it's a permanent mod, I think I'll choose to just buy 300AAC mags, but that's just me. Good info, tho. Thx.
Thanks! I'm adding a 300 BLK upper to my collection next week, so I'll give this a try. I understand it's not as much of an issue with 120gr, but it can be with 220 or 240gr, which is what I'll ultimately be using. I'm sold on PMAG so I'm willing to do this quick & easy mod because of their reliability. I've also heard with Lancer mags, this isn't an issue. Any thoughts on that? Thanks very much for your channel, and video. I'm subscribed! :-)
Thanks for the video. I'll have to give that a try.
thanks for the idea, have the same issue with 358 winchester rounds inside the 308 magpul mag
I have not noticed that when loading my .300 Blackout pistol but I will rectify that shortly. Thanks for the Tip my friend......
Awesome video I’m subbed. You have given info, that took me a lot of time to find. Wish I’d found you before! Thanks for sharing your wisdom!

they make a 300BLK pmag
TMHonfire102 they do now, yes. They didn't when i made the video.
Get a dedicated 300 mag always
That don't help. Makes it worse.
Getoutthere Trump well it's all I shoot.
And if you look at dedicated 300 Blackout mags they have the same lower ribs
