One of the stand out yachts on display at the Cannes Yachting Festival was without a doubt the Lazzara UHV87. The engineering on board was unlike anything I have seen before, and the company is clearly aiming for clientele who are looking for the best in this size range.

The interior design materials is one of those "to each his own" items. Have a ball and decorate any way you chose.
What stands out in your presentations is the education I receive. Rather than just walking through and showing the features of a yacht... you David, teach us "non-yachties" things I didn't even know I didn't know. IE: 24 meters, load line, had no idea. Keep up the great work.

Aside from the horrific gold interior this yacht is awesome. I had the pleasure of being a captain on a few of the larger Lazzara's and while they were difficult for Med usage without ASEA power or similar they were pretty good for general usage. This seems light years ahead of what they made in the US...I do miss the country kitchen though.

Hence "everything here you see in the décor was chosen by the owner of the yacht, so those are his personal color choices." David is a mind reader. He can sense what we are judging when we see the décor. he made a prophylactic move (as in chess) in the video.

David, as I have said to Tristan, I worked at Teakdeaking Systems in Sarasota back in the '90s when Dick Lazzara owned the yard in Tampa. I trimmed a lot of decks for the yachts they were building at the time. The new owners have really stepped up the game with beautiful designs and staying to the quality that Lazzara always had.

Amazing naval architecture. I can understand why the yard was so keen to explain that the interior is customizable. The interior design choices made by this particular owner is... unique to say the least.

Wow Tristan beat you to this. He did an excellent review on this yacht, but I obviously enjoyed yours as well David. Y o u did,a much better job actually showing off the yachts features whereas Tristan was enamored by the technical aspects and spent considerable time in the engine area. Which granted were neat, but not as groundbreaking as the owner thought they were. For instance they were quite proud of the cofferdam they had for the stabilizer fins to keep a yacht from filling up with water should one break, however the new Azimut 36 Metri just had the same tech. In fact, there were many similarities of that yacht and this one. Just saying, this yacht was very cool and above what I expected, but other shipyards are coming out with new stuff top. Loke the video today from the Explorer brand Tristan reviewed, that yacht had the Seakeeper and the Humphries stabilizers working in unison!!!! Like that was incredible. The yacht Nautistyles featured last week was also amazing. So many cool things coming out in the sector

Lovely detail and one can see that Antalya is fast becoming one of the most significant places to build yachts , just look how many European builders are buying up real estate in the area . This one exterior stylistically speaking is something one need to be absolutely in love with to buy it , or at least be prepared to take a bath on the price five or six years at a later date . Will date like the clappers . As far as so many fires on yachts recently , you can put that down to the craze of using lithium ion batteries , just look at the intensity and ferocity of the fires on a few of recent ones , literally going up in seconds.

I would be very interested to understand how the load line length is calculated. Excellent walkthrough, really like the analysis of the unique features of the yacht. I have no experience of Lazzara personally but would certainly see this as a possible candidate. They seem to be elevating the engineering behind their yachts to a very well thought out standard, particularly against some of their competitors.

Terrific video David. The term you were looking for when talking about the seawater boxes in the hull is "sea chests". By building them with the top just above the waterline, they can be serviced while in the water without sinking your yacht.

David... ty once again for a fantastic walk throu w/out all that "fat" many other walk throughers like to do & you're absolutely correct in saying "despite someones taste on interior/exterior design" which that is the one thing most commenters bring up... lets not kid our selves, there are some really insanely engineered yachts out there that are absolutely destroyed by the interior/exterior choices & cutting costs to either quicken the build or getn the cheapest price outta her for an owner/operator is insane... this LAZZARA is phenomenal(except the interior design choice) but what stands out the most & what i look for in a yacht, is the engineering aspects & this absolutely is exceptional & innovating for its size & lines w/safety being its priority... happy & safe sailing everyone...

Thank you David. The galley, outdoor kitchen, electronic system (a/c, audio, lighting) were not featured in this video. Practically everything in this yacht has a back-up to it. The engine room was left as is post 7,000 to 8,000 nautical miles to show how well everything looks with that volume of usage. This particular yacht would definitely benefit your channel having an interview with the builder to go into all of the very innovative and special safety features this vessel offers. I had the opportunity of viewing this vessel on another channel. That video was very different in format, and was very good. Your video here was very unique in presentation, and more of a sales video. I will say that Nick from Aquaholic would have been there for hours showing all the storage for the bits and pieces. Please know my comments are not critical, they are observations of what was presented. 😆😎

Very nice. The gold is not what I would select, but that is ok, I can pick something else. Typically I do not like bright light colored interiors, but I found this very nice. I am more of a gloss Walnut kind guy.
As far as the set up for cooling water goes, I am not sure all of that is necessary. The system for keeping the hull clean(er) is a must have for me. I have seen such systems retrofitted with amazing results. I am happy to see a system designed in to a yacht and not just an add-on.
Very nice yacht, it certainly feels larger than an 87 ft boat!

Loved this - It's plain to see you're a salesman not a tech geek. I would very much like to hear how you explain it. I've read it on 3 different website and seemed to get 4 different answers. The integral sea chests - those boxes you're rightly enamored of - have to open above the ships water line to not flood. That means if you could look through the hull the water would be below the top of the sea chest. If the boat was sinking or for any reason had it's water line go over the top of the sea chest it would come in - hence the strong lid.

I think this is my most lusted-after market segment; the "pocket superyacht". An LOA greater than 78 feet (24m) but a waterline load under that - so not triggering the large yacht code. But so very close to it. You can captain yourself legally, or if you hire crew you don't need the same level of qualification and experience (and therefore cost) as a true 24m+ vessel. So many contenders, Sunseeker Ocean 90, Princess X95 & X80, Sherpa XL, Wally 200, etc. etc.

First thing I noticed is that they have eschewed the 'normal' practice of simply running hoses everywhere - they have hard-piped the systems where possible- THAT is professional. Keel/box coolers can make life very easy, especially if you can get opportunities at anchor/alongside to airdive and clean the exterior. Using a fuel centrifuge makes so much difference - combined with a daytank overflow to storage tanks - it quickly gives you a full inventory of cleaned fuel, and helps prevent bacterial growth in storage tanks. Not sure if they have Volvo Integrated Drive on that vessel, but that is the usual reason for using those engines over the more 'established' makers in that horsepower range. Really good presentation - keep it up! (what watch are you wearing these days?)

Terrific video, thorough and informative. I agree the sea chests for salt water intake are a great safety feature. You can open the top and remove plastic bags or other items that are sucked into the intakes without having to go overboard and swim under the yacht.
The yacht is clearly well-built, but oh my it is unattractive. It sort of looks like an apartment block perched on a hull. I hope the yacht has wildly oversized stabilizers -- I suspect it would roll and roll and roll it looks so top heavy. The trend towards packing slab-sided towering topsides on hulls has permeated the entire industry -- you can find similar models from a number of builders. An acquired taste, but too clunky in my old-fashioned opinion.

So... Lazzara has jumped on this sort of high-bow, huge beam, semi-customizable GA ('so long as you aren't moving bulkheads or major equipment with your ideas, give'r'), "pocket-megayacht" bandwagon; along with Horizon (FD series), Princess (X series), and Absolut (the Navetta 65, probably other new Navetta's too going forward since the 65 was THE boat of last year's boat shows)? Why does this idea excite me so much?
Oh yeah, because Nautistyles' walkthrough of the FD80 and Aquaholic's video of the X-95 are two of my all-time favs that I have rewatched probably a half-dozen times each. I am absolutely in love with this kind of 'it's bigger on the inside' hull/layout and can't wait for the day Alexei and his designers at Bering figure out a way to make a steel-hulled hardcore explorer version. That would probably be the perfect yacht, period, if they ever pulled it off...

I also love the quality over quantity philosphy ... not wise to 'flood' the market ... it's a spectacular Buffet of designs as it is ... not to overwhelm the buyer with too much on the table ...the American walnut is a warm choice of wood too, (food triva: I can't seem to resist mentioning that the Black Walnut trees of America have one of the highest nutritional nuts, with natural compounds that enhance brain preservation) ... I love the nautilus shell staircase too ... very wonderful to hear about the flooring as well ...oh, yes!, the bathroom is fab ... what luscious marble in creamy malt constrast colours ... yes, I agree there is a feminine quality to the decor, but certainly could be contrasted with darker bedding, with interesting texture contrasts; echoing a colourway of cappaccino-espresso browns ... @ 11:45 what an exquisite white alabaster wave form sculpture .. it reminds me of many years ago, of casting wax free form waves in plaster then pouring in the molds porcelain china ... capturing the true form of the wave in porcelain ..the series in sketch form I named: Water Spirits I ... I LOVE the pull-out linens & towel drawers ... the top of my fav' list is wonderful bedding & bath ... I do admire the twin beds, with their oyster grey coverlets geometrically cross box stitched in the chinese embroidery form of 'rice stitch' quilting ... very attractive & practical ...astonishing engine room ... amazingly spacious, easy to navigate about in ... wonderful double-ups with the filter system ... had no idea of the grungy bottom of the Yachts after Season .. with the barnacles like cement, I just can't imagine elbow-grease ...but sonic sound does work miracles ... even the seeming mundane & ordinary ... yes, Lazzara may be a behemoth, but a lovely robust lady full of wonderful surprises ... not a T-Rex at all ...

Built in water system was a surprise, but the quality was very impressive.

So, David, you my friend have presented this fine lady well. However, the construction background I have, I would live to see a plan veiws of the fine ship to get a better idea where everything was, other than that, the design, the choice of finish is ok with me. , not that anyone needs my approval more of a it’s a beautiful ship and proud of who ever is able to buy such a fine vessel. Hope they enjoy yiu as much as I dream I could. Touché

I have to ask, and trust me, I have watched many of your videos. What is it with many of us wanting to see the crew quarters and engine room? Like we are going to be working on it or something? Lolol I admit, I am one of those people that look forward to seeing those areas of the yacht that the work goes on in, even though I look forward to owning a yacht one day. It’s kind of funny and interesting. Thank you for another great video.👍

Great video as always! Boat wise though, too cold in my opinion with all the white and gold trim. Doesn’t feel cozy or homey.

So getting rid of the through-hole by making the holes vertical from bottom and so large it becomes structural part of the hull?

Does the high volume design lead to a top heavy boat? Are the handling and sea-worthiness impacted by the weight distribution?

I’m happy he brought off the floors, however, it is surprising that the ship builder did not consider a sound adhesive Like Bona R851 over an underlay.

For me the class leading yacht in this range is Outer Reef 860 Skylounge. The best. And the crew accommodation is on the highest level.

please, you need to explain this "part of the hull" thing, I don't understand and I am looking at yachts to purchase one this winter... Thank you
