Gorgeous vessel for sure but is was (probably completely) refurbished only 5 years ago - at considerable expense,
I am amazed though how they kept the original design intact - major props to the owner for his/her taste.,
She is a real credit to both owner and crew.
She really is, I don't think I've ever seen a yacht with such an amazing maintenance schedule, the owner does everything possible to keep her looking and performing like a new yacht.
It comes as no surprise that this yacht sold within a few months.
The build quality, the design and the attention to detail are off the scale.
This yacht has been loved like no other.

It’s a Feadship and deserves this level of care and attention. They are so well engineered and built that refitting makes a lot of sense. These are not disposable yachts, like some. Well done to the owner and another well presented episode David! Never get tired of seeing move evidence of Feadship quality.

Probably the nicest example of a classic yacht from the 80s . Stunning and well designed with top pedigree. Would buy this in a heart beat and be a very proud owner …next to all the plastic fantastic yachts
I had a few drinks with the Broker Ed Dickinson last night - we were looking at other Feadships of a similar style and size on the market...there's really nothing that comes close to this one.
@@Yachtsforsaleblog sometimes in life you come across something special . Nice to see how this boat has been looked after . Even without the fancy things like beach clubs etc this is a true cruising yacht with build quality .
I was looking at spec and being a yacht owner 45 ft plastic fantastic I was interested to see the engine hours and how high they are.
I do understand these are not your yanmar , Volvo or Mann found in most production yachts so would be great if you could do a vlog on how these big commercial style engines our built and how long they run for , or can they keep being overhauled and almost keep running for ever ?

Holy Moley, David she is stunning!, the walkthrough position graphics is a great addition. The owner clearly loves her and you have to admire and be humbled by their dedication, makes me wonder what on earth they are upgrading to.
Glad you enjoy the addition of the plans. I'm trying to make it a regular feature, sometimes surprisingly GA plans are not available - but when they are we'll always use them from now on.
Interior reminds more like classical style mansion than superyacht. And exterior classic -80 yacht style, what an unbeatable combo that is.

A truly splendid boat that has matured like the finest of wines. Sumptuous luxury always wins over bling and glitz for me. The interior gives off a wonderfully homely vibe. It just looks so "livable".
Awesome Feadship. It's amazing to see a 37-year-old yacht in absolutely beautiful condition. Personally, I would rather have this than a new yacht. This is my Idea of a "Proper" Yacht, wood and leather, well designed and laid out. Ownership of this yacht would truly be a dream!

i like something in every boat i have seen but this one is definitely a standout for me. i could live on this boat indefinitely. beautifully refitted to a real quality standard but not overly luxurious. looks to be the type of yacht that makes people feel comfortable and welcoming. just right for my liking. i like this channel and the boats it presents. you can tell the guy enjoys what hes doing. good for everyone involved.

Looking through the listing whilst it might be originally a 1985 vessel, there was seemingly a near 100% refit in 2002. Yes, some updates and fits since then (2008 gyro, 2012 galley, 2017 spa, etc.) but it seems much of what we see is 2002. That's why it doesn't seem quite as "old" as 1985. I would love to see some 80s/90s photos of this ship!!

What a lovely craft, a very tasteful interior utilising a simple colour pallet with impeccable taste and execution. I so prefer this style of yacht.
This is how a yacht tour should be presented. The floorplan/layout overlays add a lot to the tour.
Everything on this ship is well thought out. The galley is Michelin Star capable. The woodwork throughout is understated yet ornate And classic all at once.
The engine room was immaculate. The Explora IS immaculate/new for all intents and purposes with the exception of the modern costs of manufacturing such a yacht in 2023.

Teasing us with the glass of water.. I was in similar suspense to as the end of a James Bond movie and you finally drank some water!
I counted at least 5 times during this walkthrough that you referenced Children. I can't think of anything else that would ruin my time on board a beautiful yacht (except maybe a hurricane) more than having young children on board. I have raised my share of children and have many grandchildren. And they will be welcome on my yacht once they become adults. Especially on a classic beauty like this 40-year-old Feadship. With white everywhere, that wonderful woodwork. I will be posting a plaque where guests will enter the yacht stating; No Children, Pets, or Fishing allowed on this boat.

Quite possibly the finest vessel you've showcased recently. Clearly the owner, skipper and crew are on their game. Impeccable...a yacht that actually looks like a ship, as opposed to one of those tacky, gaudy Vegas-looking brothel boats favoured by oligarchs.
The master suite and bathroom are my favourite I've ever seen on any ship. The master bed is the bed of my dreams. That mattress....amazing.

Beautiful interior! I know that many people shy away from gloss finishes, but the gloss Mahogany in the Master was stunning! The white Hampton style was beautiful in other areas. The thing that I loved, especially as an American, was the bed height! Finally, someone who knows about proper height. I dislike low-slung beds and furniture in most yachts. At my home, I must have a step to get into my California King bed.
A few things I didn't like: the exposed ribs, to me, are unattractive and show the age of the yacht; I would like to see the stern reworked in a refit to give access to the water, perhaps even a beach club. I do understand that it would have to be done carefully so as not to destroy the classic appearance, just a thought. I think it may need a technology update with tablet controls etc in each cabin.
Overall a stunning yacht that you presented very well David!

one of my all time favorite yachts,such unostentatious thoughtful design...one question though, why do alot of boats have such hi gloss almost artificial looking wood finishes?
Greetings from Kansas City, USA, David! Amazing vessel and the one thing that impressed me the most was how the interior design seemed to invert the color scheme for the owners’ suite. The other living spaces seem to have white cabinets and darker accented floors. When you toured the owners’ cabin, the cabinetry went dark with lighter flooring and accents.

I love the older well maintained steal Yachts. I did not always love the hull designs at first which is always the case for me but once you showed the interior beauty it brought out the exterior beauty as I knew it would 🤗.
A very pleasant, professional and great presentation of a truly beautiful Feadship! Had the opportunity visiting the yards and gain deep insights.... incredible craftmanship especially when you speak to a 40 y/o who's been with the company for 25 years - that's how best quality is built!

This might be my favorite yacht. It goes neck and neck with the gentlemen's yacht you showed out of Turkey. Good job, I would be surprised if this yacht was on the market that long a period of time. You know how you can tell they took space series. They don't have twenty bars all over the place.

WOW!, she was built, made (Born) in 85!, that is amazing! Back in 85 the DeLorean (Back to the Future) can barely hit 88 mph. In fact I don't know any person with a pontoon boat, that can't last that long! But I'm pretty sure a rowboat can last that long?, (if you keep it out of the water)!!🤔
Back in the early to mid 80's, Feadship was known as the Rolls Royce of yachts. I wood say Cadillac but they were, well let us say not so good anymore.
I've seen a few older Feadships that are in like new condition. Tastefully modernized yet keeping the character of the yacht. Very nice!

Very nice. Gorgeous yacht. 13.8 million with VAT paid is a great price. I would think it goes for 12.6 or around there. But might go to 13.5. I mean it's a Feadship so that's quality right there and worth whatever the asking price is.

What a beautiful yacht.. It really look like it just came out from the shipyard, amazing... Another proof what you will get in the long run if proper and scheduled maintenance are conducted and having an awesome crew. I must say the location of the engine room is quite unique. I believev there is a technical reason why it's located there... Watching vidoe footage of Explora at sea, is like watching the late Sean Connery in the movie Entrapment.... if that makes any sense at all... hahaha.. Awesome walkthrough .. and Happy New Year 2023.. more blessing to you and your family. (btw sorry for the world cup prediction)

Gorgeous Super Yacht
I have to admit, I am not a huge fan of older ship designs, especially the exteriors, but with that being said, I would 100% buy this magnificent ship for $15 million. And I would try my best to keep the exact same crew onboard because it is evident that they take care of this boat like it was their own home (and in most cases, it is, I suppose). I was blown away by the interior of this yacht....it is a beautiful design, and while the hull and super structure are not as "sleek" and sporty as a modern yacht, the interior living spaces make this a floating mansion and definitely worth the asking price.
