Hi there, they are actually our cats - all the animals at the Deanery were our own pets - and though we lost Monkey, the other three are still with us when we are in England (heartbreakingly we had to rehome everyone else as we had so little warning of our departure). When we get back to England we will make sure to have the cats with DR in the broadcasts (though of course they have been in broadcasts since we left, Lilly in the ones from Shropshire and Leo in the ones from Kent). @@GardenCongregation Yes I’m aware that Tiger, Leo & Lily are your pets… what I meant was that at that point of time they were part of the cathedral (or deanery, to be more specific) landscape. It’d be lovely to see them in morning prayer again 😊
@@Fabwrite I felt sure you would know snd apologies for seeming to doubt it is just a little bit of a tender issue as we not only lost them but then folk started asking the Cathedral what had happened to them and a statement was released to say we had 'humanely slaughtered them all'. This clearly was just another slur and I worked really hard in horrible circumstances to find loving homes for each and every one of them. We shall be sure to include the moggies for you - do you have a favourite?

Yeah our Siamese eons ago was "lost" around Xmastide and hours later my folks came home, Dad opened the closet to put his jacket in, and out came the cat like nothing had happened. I think also this Parable of the Prodigal Son might reflect some of the Genesis stories about pairs of siblings and rivalries that do not necessarily end the way the elder expects them to do! It really is best to keep cats inside the house unless you are right with them in the yard. Keep them safe from predators, cars, injury. Thank God for the lady who helped Leo and took him to the vet. God bless all of our precious animal and human friends🙏🏻🕊️✝️❤️🐈⬛🐈

I read a book which I found fascinating about this story in the bible ”the story of the one who spent everything and lost nothing” an illumminating way of looking at the way jesus leaves us free to enjoy our own freedom and its risks and his everlasting benevolence and love. I wish st luke lasted longer!😅
I must admit I miss the battles between Leo and the robin. My favorite part of Luke is how he tells us that when the cock crowed the third time, Jesus turned and looked at Peter, I can imagine the look of love and compassion he had for Peter. Thank you for these morning prayers, I still go back and listen to 2020 and 2021 daily.
The Parables of Jesus are very meaningful. That must have been an awful time when Monkey Leo and Tiger went missing .I know a lady whose cat jumped from a window and was missing three days. Yes he does! 🤣 He and Leo share the drawing room that Chris and Martin have so kindly carved off for us to use and so they spend all day staring at each other but when we are back we try to spend as much time as possible sitting in with them to keep them company and when we do that Tiger loves it if there is a milk jug! 😃
