If I had to guess, the darker bear is older than the lighter bear, only because in the beginning he had the upper hand (more experience) but the lighter bear had more stamina. Not for nothing, bro did him dirty though. Attack him right in the middle of doing the deed.

Usually two bears fight each other until one of them forcing another to leave a battlefield (winner can take few steps around, doesn’t matter holding his head up or down, while loser walks away, but that’s all). And that is what we see in this video. Bear with a gash keeps pushing, other bear steps back and leaves territory. It’s not a “winner bear” behaviour. Winner don’t need to leave. And we don’t know why bear with a gash didn’t continue his little affair with female bear. Maybe he was almost exhausted from two big fights in a row, it no wonder

This is an insanely good video! It’s crazy how close you seem to be even if on the water! Those things are huge 400lbs+ all of em for sure! I watched it again. While both walked away alive, it can be said serious wounds were inflicted on both sides. Romeo more than likely will not survive his. The wound on his leg he can get to and regularly keep clean, but the wound on his back will more than likely get infected. I'm glad you added the footage in the end. The look on the face of Brutus tells it all. He is exhausted and in great pain.
If you look at him begore the fight the wound on his leg was there BEFORE the fight ! It can be seen when he was trying to mate and mount the female bear and prob got it trying as a result !
This fight almost certainly will go to the end..there can be only 1 resident male bear. I'm guessing the blonde bear is the intruder and the brown bear is the resident bear. Also Vanessa on the video said the blonde bear killed his boy a day before and that he is on a killing spree. Either the blonde bear leaves Romeos territory- unlikely or this fight will go to the end. But I had no idea that these fights last for days.. Lions fights last for 4-6 h and its 2 vs 1

It’s incredible what they can endure and survive- literally chewing away with that bite force on each others spine and still able to survive- incredible footage - not the biggest bears about but damn they truly battle it out - only one I’m slightly more impressed by is the one Tim treadwell captured of two absolute behemoths going at it - just the sheer size and power is terrifying and he could so easily of ended up in either of them - makes you think how terrifying it must have been for both him and his girlfriend- these animals are absolute killing machines - and people think a lion or tiger would win against a massive kodiak male weighing over a thousand pounds - not a chance - against a sleeping smaller inland female yes but a male Kodiak bear - hell no - great to not have music and adverts throughout- I applaud you for uploading this insanely good footage 👍🏻🍻🥃👏🏻

Lions are smarter pride hunters and bears are expert grapplers, 1 on 1 of course bear wins, a full lion pride with the male/s and females hunting together which happens when the prey is too difficult would go absolutely to the lions. Is kinda having a 6'4 220 ufc champion against a group of amateur mma guys, is unfair just because of the numbers. And also lions hunt the most deadly prey animals in the world, so that's also a factor to consider. Edit: Oh, and also big cats are notorious for being smart af when it comes to killing bigger animals, for example that have been leopards who found out that Gorillas have a weak spot in their back legs because there is an artery there and they just bite on the precise spot and let the gorilla bleed out, and leopards are way smaller than gorillas.
A hungry adult Amur tiger, male or female, is much smarter than that and won’t tackle a fully grown adult male brown bear in its prime head on. Instead, it’ll hunt and kill the smaller immature male brown bear or adult female bear - via ambush and stealth!

But that bully bear looks like an A-hole, I was hoping his luck was going to run out right there but it didn't happen. And the bear that was mating is definitely a better fighter while in the water than that bully bear.
Imagine if UFC fighters had to fight the first round in a pool of water and the second round would be fought in a pit of sharp edged rocks and boulders. It’s incredible what they can endure and survive- literally chewing away with that bite force on each others spine and still able to survive- incredible footage - not the biggest bears about but damn they truly battle it out - only one I’m slightly more impressed by is the one Tim treadwell captured of two absolute behemoths going at it - just the sheer size and power is terrifying and he could so easily of ended up in either of them - makes you think how terrifying it must have been for both him and his girlfriend- these animals are absolute killing machines - and people think a lion or tiger would win against a massive kodiak male weighing over a thousand pounds - not a chance - against a sleeping smaller inland female yes but a male Kodiak bear - hell no - great to not have music and adverts throughout- I applaud you for uploading this insanely good footage 👍🏻🍻🥃👏🏻

These are not even kodiaks and they don't even look like big grizzlies either. Certainly ignorant idiots claim a barbary descendant lion or Big Siberian could take on these combative machines! Not a chance! Lions and tigers are much smarter than that! They just do the cat thing and run! They are are also much smarter than the stupid humans who make such ridiculous claims!
Lions are smarter pride hunters and bears are expert grapplers, 1 on 1 of course bear wins, a full lion pride with the male/s and females hunting together which happens when the prey is too difficult would go absolutely to the lions. Is kinda having a 6'4 220 ufc champion against a group of amateur mma guys, is unfair just because of the numbers. And also lions hunt the most deadly prey animals in the world, so that's also a factor to consider.
Edit: Oh, and also big cats are notorious for being smart af when it comes to killing bigger animals, for example that have been leopards who found out that Gorillas have a weak spot in their back legs because there is an artery there and they just bite on the precise spot and let the gorilla bleed out, and leopards are way smaller than gorillas.
A hungry adult Amur tiger, male or female, is much smarter than that and won’t tackle a fully grown adult male brown bear in its prime head on. Instead, it’ll hunt and kill the smaller immature male brown bear or adult female bear - via ambush and stealth!
I hope Tim Treadwell's story endures as a lesson on the limits of wishful thinking and not *just* an example of reckless naivety.

Amazing. Thank you for sharing. The bloodiest fight to the death. The light colored bear was fierce but the heavily battle-scarred dark bear still remains the winner in my opinion. Afterall the female bear will bear his fruits.

I have no idea how they kept going that long. Imagine that kind of stamina with zero prep. Easily best bear fight ever recorded. The lighter color one was like Khabib riding his back, thought he might look for hand control on the left.

@@TheVanjon I was rooting for that bear too. That pissed me just watching that bear getting interrupted while mating. And I didn't like seeing that gash around the back leg too. But that bully bear looks like an A-hole, I was hoping his luck was going to run out right there but it didn't happen. And the bear that was mating is definitely a better fighter while in the water than that bully bear.

bear fight is slow but the amount of power....pushing, grapple and take down used up so much energy. i just cant imagine if they dig those claw into your chest with so much strength. its like someone taking a shovel and stomping on the edge to dig it in your chest but with 20x the weight
