I could never imagine travelling alone in a foreign country. So proud of u for being the independent woman u are. You never fail to inspire me, Ash. More power to u! ❤
I solo travelled for the first time in 2023, went to Netherlands, Germany & France for a week, then went to South Korea for 2 weeks. Best experience ever.
This girl really went with her Sailor Moon tshirt for the trip 😂 love it! The shots was sooo good, I felt the Kyoto vibe, and the fact that you were vloging alone - very well done Ashley! And a meet with the longtime fan was so wholesome 🥹 She seems to be a great person ❤
i was shocked to see you engage in a conversation with the chef and then i remember omg ashley used to be a kpop idol of course she's great at languages!!! as someone who travels abroad alone a lot but relies solely on my english (and google image translate) i'm so impressed!!!!
23:03 You were never really alone Ashley I know Risé was there watching over you. Maybe laughing to herself that you would get the pickle and just throw it away. 😂 I just know she blessed you and protected you when you went on this trip. 💜
I’ve done solo traveling in a few places and tbh I’m an i and I actually enjoyed so much solo traveling… I think it’s more difficult for someone who’s an extrovert as they need to share their experiences. Solo travel is definitely a self reflection and you can gain a lot of insights and empowerment from yourself.
You always deserve a nice meal. Never hesitate to treat yourself if it doesn't put you in a bad spot. You know you deserve the best of the best and new experiences too
17:03-17:07, 7:04-7:10 are such amazing shots. you have such a good eye because the scenery montages captured the vibe of kyoto well. thank you for sharing this with us and i look forward to more
Watching Ashley’s vlog makes me more excited about travelling by myself in the future. I’ve always been scared of the smallest things like eating by myself in the past, so I’ve really tried to step outside my comfort zone these days.
This was great travel vlog! Thank you for sharing. It takes a lot of courage to travel alone. Your interactions with other people were so authentic and real. I’m also glad you were able to meet up with a friend at the end 😊
Idk why but it was so surprising watching u speak Japanese lol 😭 The editing was SO on point and loved watching u socialize and becoming friends with a fan🥺 Ps. theres a "friend" waiting for you in Mumbai, India 😉
Thank you so much for sharing the journey with us! I've wanted to travel to Japan for like 9 years now, but it's been so long since I took Japanese class that I've forgotten all the useful basics. Plus flying is so expensive. One of the nice things about solo travel is not having to worry about if your buddies are enjoying the same attractions/food/etc. Scheduling is simple and flexible if you're not meeting up with people. It's nice to just go breathe, take it all in, then talk about it when you get back. Hope you enjoyed the experience. ♡
I miss your vlogs so much! That Sailor Moon shirt with the skirt... perfection. What a great way to start off the weekend. I *love* the way you ask the sushi chef for permission to film him. You're just too adorable, Ashley. ^~^
Just felt the need to say.. You are so adorable!! As an ISFP myself, this vlog was plenty help for a future visit 🤎 May you keep visiting beautiful places! :)
That flower you smelled was probably star jasmine. I have it planted in our front yard and it smells wonderful. Also like you, when I traveled alone, I was dying to talk to people too but I did enjoy my alone time to recharge myself.
Your camera was nodding because it knew you were alone so it was being an active listener so you didn't feel alone😂 I did my first solo trip to Hong Kong this year and I LOVED it! I can't wait for my next solo trip and your next vlog!
Thank you for the new vlog, Ash. I hope you had a great time in Kyoto, it looked like you did based on the pics. The intro to this video is amazing too. I will have to watch it in pieces, but i am looking forward to it 💜
It has been a bit of rough, crazy day. It's 2pm and i am finally sitting down to lunch. I am glad i can finally resume watching something so comforting....
man, people are really different. You get lonely after two days, while i have no problems being alone for a week. though i do agree, traveling alone feels less special without someone to share it with.
You know, Ash. No worries! You didn't even need to talk much. The footage itself was speaking to us. I think you were really brave trying to do this alone! Btw, I liked the way you combined Korean with Japanese. Cute moment! Thank you for sharing it with us! 😍
you posted just as I'm applying to study abroad in Japan :) lovely vlog and I always love your honest sit down sessions! I'm happy you're getting so many opportunities to travel 💜
Hi Ashley, Glad to see that you've done one of your resolutions.., I was in Japan this summer Kyoto is a peaceful city and yes the food and service are perfect . Before that I was in Korea and now I really understand why you love so much Jeju-do Waterfalls, Mount Hallasan, Jeju 5 days Market and of course real lovely peoples !!❤Korea. Take care of you and Thanks for sharing your voyage !!
Thank you for taking us to kyoto with you. I personally enjoyed this vlog eventhough you're not talking that much. I love that i get to see the nature, people and everything in japan thru your lens
Traveling alone again for Christmas just for fun! I haven't done so for 5 years! Super excited! Your Video gave me inspo and vibes for my upcoming trip ❤
I’ve been waiting for your vlog.🥹 happy to finally see a new video. I love solo travel because I get to do whatever I want and meet new people, so this would have been heaven, but, I’m an ISFP. Can wait for my backpacking experience in Asia after completing my master’s. Ashley, what are must place to see, do? I’m probably going to Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan and China 🤭
Thanks for sharing your visit to Kyoto ! I don't mind traveling alone . Very cool T-shirts !! Whoa ! - didn't know you spoke Japanese !! Makes things easier to get around .
After much experience, I've concluded that for me a week is the outer limit for traveling solo. It helps to sign up for guided walking tours or group day trips or cooking classes or whatever so that you get some social interaction.
Thank you for taking me to Kyoto with you❤(even i live in Japan, i have been to Kyoto only once as school trip 😂) Im so surprised that you speak Japanese so good! 月に変わってお仕置きよ♡ sounds perfect!!hehehe Wish i could travel through Japan with you!
such a lovely video. i applaud you for travelling alone, this is something on my bucket list as well. if you ever come to croatia, know you have a friend here too!
Hi Ashley! I'm so glad you came to Japan! I wanted to meet you because I'm living in Osaka😀so I'm jealous Arisa chan! lol I wanna meet you someday✨ Sorry my broken English~😂
haha as an ESFP as well, i really can relate with you, Ash!! especially the food part haha and i always need to share something with someone! travelling alone will be a challenge! but you really inspired me to go back to Kyoto alone, this city is my fave tho beside Osaka haha who knows..maybe one day! 😁
Glad you had a good trip in Kyoto! The food looked so good! I've been to Japan on quite a few solo trips and also with family and friends but I'm a bit of the opposite and love travelling alone even though it's nice to have someone to share immediate experiences with and queuing for stuff is less boring. I think one or two other companions is good but not a bigger group. My bucket list is to visit as many prefectures as I can but Kansai is one of my top destinations so far! ❤
I just got back from my trip to Japan and Kyoto was one of my favorite places to visit. I was so happy when I saw your vlog from Kyoto 🥰 It was so nice to see the city from your point of view. Thank you for the vlog Ashley! 🫶🏻
Your reaction to the size of the crowd is so funny 😄 If you think that’s crowded, have you been to Takeshita Street in Harajuku? Your Kyoto trek takes me back to when I was there. Your video title “alone in Kyoto” is also an official song from the Lost in Translation film.
Kyoto is no. 1 on my japan travel list and watching this inspired me to work harder for me to ticked off my bucketlist which is to travel alone like you did. You are so fun to watch, Ashley!
I take little solo trips alone, sometimes, too, and while I wish I had someone to experience them with, I would rather not speak for a week than have to make small talk with a stranger, haha. I love that your face lit up whenever someone spoke to you.
OMG OMGG I CANNOT NOT RELATE! 😭😭 I also just went on my first ever solo travel last week (and i feel that it may also be my LAST! HAHA)!! Your realization about the food/menu??? IS SO SPOT ON! I wanna eat a lot, and most of the menu are for sharing so i ended up eating mostly in convenience store 😭 I also just made it short, 2d1n, coz i don't think I can handle more days being alone in a diff country!! But you made ut better, your timing of arrival and choice of accommodation is well planned. I arrived at midnight, check in is not until 3pm, and i chose a hostel!! If I ever will do it again? I will surely plan the timings more and my accomm ;( but omg im so glad i saw this vlog. I felt like finally someone understood what i felt and shared what i couldn't speak last wk hahahah Thanks, Ashley!
I'm travelling alone to South Korea next week and I'm honestly excited and scared. I also don't like going to places with many tourists and am shy as hell to practice my Korean. This video is, in a way, comforting. Fingers crossed, it will be worth it.
Ahh Ashly i enjoyed this so much, recently I’ve been traveling around with my sister and yes i agree with you although I’m introverted yet i prefer company while traveling, who’s gonna hear me if not my sister when i yell WOW IT IS SO PRETTY LOOK AT IT ? Haha Your vlog was very soothing, not right into the face or being extra kinda vlog LOVE IT. Take care Ashly, fighting 💕
I missed you so much Ashley! Thanks for the vlog. I really know about the social interaction feeling you mentioned and I just want to tell you that your vlogs helped a lot on that process because I found your channel when I started living alone and I was feeling so confused about the new adulting shit I have to deal with but indirectly you have been there and bcs of that I wasn't feeling alone at all, so thank you Ashley🤍
I could never imagine travelling alone in a foreign country. So proud of u for being the independent woman u are. You never fail to inspire me, Ash. More power to u! ❤
Thank you for your sweet words 🥺🫶🏻🩷
It's normal for Japanese to travel alone in Japan regardless of sex
#Nothing to proud of😅

Traveling alone is the best. Once you get used to it, you love it because no one controls your fate, where you go, what you do besides you.
the endless talking after finally having someone to talk to when traveling alone is sooo relatable 😅 the most talkative ver of me comes out
17:03-17:07, 7:04-7:10 are such amazing shots. you have such a good eye because the scenery montages captured the vibe of kyoto well. thank you for sharing this with us and i look forward to more
The way that your fan becoming your friend is so cool.. like imagine you being friend with your idol 🥲
What a beautiful trip that you will remember forever Ashley! I'm glad you took us along. I'd love to visit some parts of Japan someday too ❤
