How to STITCH wire wrapped shell pendant (Aannsha Jones creates)

  • I'm super excited to share this video with you! "How to STITCH wire wrapped shell pendant" shows you a NEW TECHNIQUE that I am using where I take silver wire and THREAD, or WEAVE it through holes in an abalone shell so it looks like it's been stitched! As well as this stitch wire wrap method, I also show you how to make the bail out of the silver wire, and add a button pearl to make a beautiful shell pendant.
    Whether you're curious as to how I made this pendant, or you would like to make one similar to this yourself, I hope you enjoy this video.

    Nice video. What did you use to drill the holes in the shells?

      ScottandSylvia Jardine thank you! These shells naturally have holes in them and are quite strong. I just had to enlarge a couple of the holes which as you saw in the video I did with needle nosed pliers. 🙂

      Great video! I would use a bead reamer rather than the pliers though. They have a more consistent, gentle action than the hard edge of the pliers and less likely to cause chipping.
