I miss when sharks used to call out entrepreneurs that were only there for exposure without even wanting to do a deal.

She is the clearest example ever of someone who came on the show not actually wanting a deal. It’s odd that Mark has reamed people for doing this before yet is praising her for it this time.
Mark is planning to leave Shark Tank and he's way richer now than when he first started, so he doesn't really care about getting the best deal anymore
Hes adviced people many times to not let the sharks undervalue them n to not sell their companies,to not take bad deals etc. so i disagree this is actually right on brand for him.

I'm over the people that just go on here looking for free publicity and have no interest in getting a deal. To stop it, they should never let these make it to air.
I think a large part of the pitch was edited where she probably showed that she's legit. That's why neither Mark nor any other shark called her out. Perhaps you also missed it but she said that she is in the middle of a raise, which means she didn't want to devalue the company for the other possible investors that she was conducting negotiations.
She clearly only wanted the marketing and exposure!

This video came out a month ago, earlier this year in February, nopalera secured 2.5 million in seed funding. They’re doing just fine, and I’m happy she stuck to her guns she knows what she had and she absolutely knows how to sell a product her negotiating skills need work but she’s not a negotiator she’s a business owner.

She didn't really talk about why her product is superior to the rest in quality, use, price, etc. Or how cactus is such a star other than the generic "it's good for you".
