    You gave a very real account stating this is a business and treat it that way.
    Your yard is beautiful. Much success to you and your family always.

      Thanks! I see alot of hosts coming in thinking it's free money raining from the sky and they get upset when they have to actually work 🤣

      Some make quite a bit more.
      We have a fairly short but busy season where people are interested in swimming.

    Thank you for posting this video, very insightful as im thinking of renting my pool on simply. Question for you on something that's bugging me. What is your solution to a bathroom for pool renters? Do the guest have access to a bathroom inside of your home or do you have a poorhouse? Appreciate any feedback on this and congratulations on your earnings, those are some impressive numbers!!!!

      It's up to the host to decide. If you don't have a separate pool house with a bathroom, your choices are
      Let them come in the house.
      Get a portable toilet set up somewhere.
      I've seen some set up a compostable toilet somewhere in the yard.
      Don't offer a toilet. Of course if you do this, guests will 100% pee in your pool.
      We have a bathroom in the house that is easily accessible from the back yard and let people use that.

    I just spent 3 hours working on my hosting on this site. It asked me if I wanted to do 20% discount for first three and I clicked no. There are only 3 pools listed in my area and none of them have screen room or water coolers. I only want to rent about 3 times this summer. Swimply posted the discount of 20% without my consent so I deleted the account. I can't make any money off that and it was against me saying no. So irritated!!

      The app definitely has problems and their track record on support is bad, but I've found we can make it work "good enpugh" to be worth the effort for us.
      If you wanted to try again, maybe you could price your pool 20% higher if they are forcing the discount.
      We fully expect the train to crash at some point and have it come to an end 🤣.

    Do you need to have business license? I am located in CT and one of my neighbors compained to zoning enforcement. We live in residental area with residential zoning.

      Local laws vary widely between cities, counties, and states. You'll have to check with your local government that handles zoning if you're concerned.

    Do you need to carry extra insurance?
    What happens if someone has an accident?

    • @vibonita
      @vibonita  Рік тому +6

      Swimply does carry insurance and has a legal team that gets involved if needed.

    Is that a top of water skimmer in the pool during the video?!?

    • @vibonita
      @vibonita  Рік тому

      Yes, a Betta 2. It works well although we had to send it in for a warranty repair.
      I would buy one every year if I had to though. I don't ever have to skim the pool now as the robot does it for me.

      No. Haha. If anything, it's gotten worse. They had no live support this summer.

    Yeah 😢, Too Good to be true
    You should talk about how they treat you when it comes to the PAYOUT.
    They take customers' money and keep it for themselves, Next you have to fight with them
    To take what's yours, it disgusts me.
    Without forgetting that they have the worst Customers service.
    Yes, Customers come and enjoy but 3/4 weeks later You still can't see your money.
    You can make more money by listing elsewhere than on swimply
    Of course they will make you pay too because nothing is free here below In this world.

    • @vibonita
      @vibonita  3 місяці тому +1

      I've had zero problems getting paid and over $21k paid out over the last 2 summers.
      Their customer service has always been bad, but I don't rely on them to do customer service for my business.

    It was fun to watch from the host perspective as we just made a video from our first time using the app. We think this app is a great idea and we are so happy for your success in the first year of hosting your pool! Here's to more and more success each year. New subs here to catch the wins in your future

      It is a great idea although the app is pretty buggy and the company doesn't have good leadership. Still, the pros outweigh the cons after two seasons still.
