mine doesn't load on the stage builder. ive deleted all the stages and I'm pretty sure I followed all the steps. any idea on what might be the problem? I'm doing it on the wii u and ive heard u should only put the sd in card after the game launches. even then it still isn't working.

Hey, I'm trying to add my own stages to this and i realized that the files were named _Z _W _X And _Y i was wondering if you can tell me which one is the R and L buttons. Also there are four possibilities (Normal, L, R, and Z) But there are five files for each stage (Z W X Y and Normal).
+Random Crap _Z is L, _Y is Z, _X is L, and _W is Start. When you replace a stage, though, oftentimes you need to replace the corresponding .rel file in the modules folder as well.
I already download the game. When I put the game in, It goes back to the Wii menu. Why is it like that? Mines is not show the same screen as yours when it starts. :(

PLEASE HELP ME. whenever i download the 1.21 version or the 1.0 version of legacy and i try to extract the files. it always says crc error king dedede something and doesnt finish extracting the rest. i used 7zip. and used winrar and it could exteact them because it said files were corrupted. it seems that im downloading corrupted files or something because it always says error corrupted or invalid or CRC failed. what does this mean. what can i do?

just downloaded legacy on a brand new 2gb sd card. everything looks correct on there and when I put it into my Wii and go to stage builder, it reads it just like it would for regular pm, but it stays on that black screen with the white text. towards the bottom, it says event hook failed with code 0, boot.elf not found (-1), usbGecko not found, and no code found to load, hanging. how do I fix this? just confused since everything looks correct on the sd card
I downloaded the 1.3 hackles zip. I see the six Files on there when I downloaded them, but there is an extra file called "background.png". Do I delete it because it wasn't working with me.

I had the same problem and someone below suggested that it might be an issue with GameCube memory cards. Remove them if they're in your Wii and try again. That fixed my problem!

Hey, sorry to annoy you again but I downloaded everything as the video explained on an empty Lexar 2GB SD card, put it on my Wii and started Brawl. Went to Stage Builder after waiting like 15-20 seconds and it all started correctly with the whole glitching green screen and then the PM Bootscreen (The one that says Play, Update, About and Exit) but when I pressed Play my screen turns black and my Wii freezes :(
Not yet. Someone told me defragging should help, but I can't do it on a computer. But I said I would delete some music files, but I have not done that yet either. I have school stuff to worry about first. Then when I have free time, I will try to find some solutions for those, such as myself, who have problems booting up the hackless version of the game.

Luffy I got it fixed, first make sure you're using a 2 Gn sd card, and also make sure to take it out anytime before you get on the regular wii u menu because that messes it up, and if that doesn't work I bought a brand new sd card online and a new copy of brawl, but I think the sad card is what made it work so just buy a new sd card

after you download the file. and extract it to the sd card. thats it? i tried it and it doesnt show anything when i pick stage select
+viggokan so you need to make sure the folders are on the root of the SD card, and go to custom stages.
i try the 1.3 build and 1.2 in the hackless and homebrew method and all the times the wii get a black screen

Hey sorry to annoy you, hope you can help me.
I can't play smash legacy and idk why. the launcher opens but when I press start the screen turns black my wii start making a noise (I suppose it's reading the disc) then a little flash and black again. Before I try to play legacy I could play project m like normal I had project m since 3.0 and been updating it with no problems. I use the homebrew method

I got it to work, but whenever I finish a match it goes back to brawl, help!

Luffy I got it fixed, first make sure you're using a 2 Gn sd card, and also make sure to take it out anytime before you get on the regular wii u menu because that messes it up, and if that doesn't work I bought a brand new sd card online and a new copy of brawl, but I think the sad card is what made it work so just buy a new sd card

Save your custom stages to your SD card (if it doesn't take too much space)
