Typhoon and F35 are built for different things, F35 is an advanced multirole aircraft and Typhoon is an advanced air superiority fighter. While the F35 can take on air to air missions as part of its multirole capability, the Typhoon was tailor made for it. Like wise, the Typhoon can take on ground strike missions but F35 was made with that in mind. The two may overlap but their purpose is different

@@liamharris4479 Its not a dogfighter so that's irrelevant. The days of dogfighting is long over, with advanced radar systems and missiles - human pilots can't sustain the g loads needed to out turn them let alone out race them. Now its all about BVR and stealth.
@@madkillerz007 Exactly. If it was a pure dogfight, the Typhoon would win, but the F35 will strike it before the Typhoon even knows it's there.
Kinematic performance isn’t just about dogfighting. It’s about getting away from enemy fire, dodging missiles, adding energy to your own missile shots, climbing to high altitude quickly, the list goes on and on. The Eurofighter is a monster when it comes to performance. The F22 would be a fair comparison. The f35 isnt in the same league
These two jets working together will be a formidable force. F35 working as the quarter back for the typhoon.
Typhoon has 13 hard points, not 12 mate.
And as of the Engines, we know the F-35-has the mist powerful single engine of any fighter ever, but the Typhoon has a much better power to weight ratio, fast climb rate, better maneuver ability, at slow and higher speeds, more economical even with two engines, it's the best swingrole multimissions fighter aircraft but to dogfight, short range interception,(SRAAM's), long range interception,(Meteor) and now so ground attack, interdiction, deep strike,(Stormshadow) anti ship,(MARTE ER), Close Air Support,(Brimstone), I suppose they could even out the Martlet lightweight missiles too, a higher top altitude, lager flight envelope, as well as low observability, and can hold 9G's sustainably for longer than any higher on the market, and it will probably do even more they haven't thought of yet.
Together, they should be unbeatable.
Another point, you can integrate any NATO or Swedish weapon into the EF. The next thing will be the RBS-15, as an alternative to NSM and a medium cruise-missile.

I was hoping that the UK would buy F35A version to compliment the amazing Typhoon, but it’s not my money.
The F35 is a superslik Harrier replacement for close troop support, it doubles up with airfield support capabilities . The Typhoon would just push an F35 into the ground .

A very informative video, thank you. I saw both planes in the hills of the Lake District last week, first a Typhoon flew out the clouds overhead, rolled a few times then flew off at some pace, it was incredible to watch! Later on further down the hill, we saw an F-15 leading 4 F-35's on the way past Ambleside heading to Keswick, really cool but the Typhoon display won me over compared to the fat, ugly Lightnings flying past. :)

@@jsull2891 Behave, it's a lovely looking jet, especially in the flesh and much nicer than the JAS Gripen or Rafale. Each to their own though. Flankers and Raptors are also good looking in my book, are you an F-35 fan? ;)
@@djchrismac I love all jets and respect the rafale for its ability. Any US fighter pilot ive heard speak of it has nothing but positive things to say about it. I was merely commenting on the look. I personally think the f22 is the best looking jet ever made, f35 is decent but not my favorite. I just think the rafale was built for maneuverability and suffered in looks because of it, fantastic plane though.
The F35 is significantly sexier than the Typhoon. The Typhoon/Rafale look like super-powered kites 🪁

Some very badly researched information in this video, alongside some credible facts. The trouble is, bad information feeds viewers and they get a picture they see as factual. The truth however regarding engines, performance, roles, running costs, capabilities of platforms is very far removed from this video but is consumed as factual, leading people down the wrong path of understanding.

Red flag combat is showing the F35 is beating it’s competition including the Eurofighter etc in combat not because of Top Gun style close combat but simply because the F35 sees the enemy and cannot be seen. It can then either attack that enemy or hand over the info to a ship or another plane to fire on that enemy . In the words of one Top Gun “ we have rookies in a F35 besting Top Guns in a F16” it’s a different type of plane for a different type of battle.
The euro-fighter will obtain.f-35 and f22 technology .As well as technology from the tempest.Like the f16,f18,f15,and the f22 did for testing for the next 6th generation jets like the tempest or ngad's

@@drmorcoch9338 in red flag, mind you it was found by a 4th gen plane via radar. It was either an F15 or F16.
The Eurofighter has a more advanced radar, it also has a very little cross section from the front.
The F35 isnt nearly as stealthy as the F22. It also lights up on thermal like the 4th of july, the F22 doesnt.
If the eurofighter has a ram coating, it would likely be as or slightly more stealthy than the F35.

In a bvr engagement, they are both same family, so they would use the exact same tactics and equipment/support. No point in speculating as it's 50/50.
In a dogfight, the typhoon will be able to sit inside the f35s turn and the f35 will out rate the typhoon. However, it's dependant on the skill of the pilot.

These are NOT competing aircraft and were never designed to be. They both service air attack/defence in different areas and provide a complete air superiority package. These dumb comparison videos only provide light entertainment but no facts. There isn't a fighter plane in the world that has total air defense/attack capability for every combat situation. That's why most countries have multiple aircraft types.

Both of them are already old. The Chinese are making already fighters that are very competitive to these and they can make a lot more than the americans can. The Eurofighter should be updated. The F35 is just an abortion of a plane. Anyway both of them can still win against the Chinese fighters just because the weapons systems are much more advanced. But i don't think for long.
Don't over estimate the Chinese, a lot of it is shortfall.

@@DontAttme China's aircraft leave a lot to be desired. That said, they closed the gap on missles and critical electronics REAL fast. Mostly because they got their hands on examples through espionage and third party sales. That stuff makes a real difference.
