@@vittosphonecollection57289 They did use a simple MIDI-ish electric guitar sample. You couldn't get actual realistic guitar samples to sound good on a SNES without taking up a ton of space.

2d fun pastel platforming game with calm music, suddenly a castle sized demon bowser cloaked in darkness charging straight at you shooting fireballs with metal music blasting while the ground under you falls apart. Still the best bossfight vibes I've come across.

I think this game was excellently written and the last battle set up and executed so well. Look at the background. The moon you literally fought on, breaking through the cloud/ Bowers evil glowing glare, the pine trees you fought through to get here, and the sun setting in the background to display that fact that something is ending (either you or Bowser depending on how well you land those large eggs). The artistry and music was amazing, and this cover does it real justice.
Not to mention the completely darkened water
for all these reasons and more is why this is a dark horse contender on the list of best boss battles of all time
This probably what it would sound like to Yoshi. Just imagine the amount of pressure they're under. They are trying to take out a baby version of who they know will start to hate Mario for the rest of his life for not giving him a turn and Yoshi needs to survive to save baby Mario to reunite him with baby Luigi. Now imagine if you were in that situation

If there was a phase 2 to this boss it would of have the present Bowser or adult Bowser. Coming along with this theme and it would be twice as hard to defeat Bowser again, you would have to use 3 eggs to knock him back slightly, and he can punch and swipe with his hands, also breathing not only fire balls but also fire breath for a short period of time, you would have to use about 15 eggs to defeat Bowser. (This is just an idea of what could happen to be a phase 2)
