The one I have is a 2021 and stock it'll go 65km. I've just ordered a 80cc big bore kit so I'm excited to see what it'll do. And I'm putting in a racing clutch and hi-speed variator all by polini.
I only upgraded the exhaust, malossi vario kit and I get 47mph on a flat surface and I'm 220lbs. Next is intake, bigger main jet, lighter rollers. Definitely hoping to hit 50mph on flat surface.
Ir there must have been something wrong with the scooter for it to be going that slow before the big bore kit. I go just as fast stock as you do with yours with the big bore kit.
Thing is you still didn't show how you took everything apart. I saw a video of one being put together but it was fir a 2 stroke and I believe it was fuel injected because I didn't see a carburetor.
I got the Piaggio Typhoon 50 4T 4V and is just like the Aprilia Motard, Now my scooter goes 41MPH stock, so upgrading my scooter to this BBK will not make a difference? Im cofused
There are more engine types , a short and a long version. This because of the bigger wheels in it. Like the Piaggo Liberty , the transmission cover is much longer. The cilinder and al the other parts are the same. Although I don't no if the transmission do have the same ratio because of the bigger wheels 14 inch..
@Rolling Wrench but where's the beginning of taking the scooter apart video? Because I didn't find the video where you take apart the motor for the 4t motor just a 2t engine.
@Rolling Wrench does this have to be done on a bench? Or on the ground from which it sits. I'm not installing the malossi 80cc kit but the polini 80cc kit.
In the video I'm not too impressed with the final top speed but mine does that with just the upgraded hi-speed variator and racing clutch. I'll add the 80cc kit soon.
Question for you, I installed the polini hi speed variator and speed clutch I didn't notice much performance difference. I have the 80cc big bore kit but it's not I stalled yet. What am I doing wrong?
I have an Aprilia sportcity one 4t 50cc original cylindre, cdi racing, with malossi fly clutch, polini speed control i take 80klm/h 49mph... But Nice job
just add malossi gears 15/55,6.3 gr roller, purple contra spring, red clutch spring, plzzz open the air box this engine is choked! two halh inch hole near the s air box restrictor,up jet for your region (around 80)let it rip up to 50-55 mph
@@RollingWrench wow! Finally another option besides malossi cdi! Who makes this one? And what degre of advance can you reach? Since i live in a " flat " town i fugures i wouldnt benefit that much from the raised rpm from malossi.other choices, like a multivar with a machined canon where better option for me. But for the price i might consider this one!👍
@@g8some but I think you will be surprised how simple the motor is to remove. One main bolt, shock bolt, fuel hose and brake cable. It’s about a 15 min job to remove the engine.
I'm Italian, you don't unlocked the control unit or Cdi, this 4 stroke with 4v is locked electronically and can't go faster then about 40 miles, also is locked at the variator and with the carburetor, i have a identical engine with a 50 cc without these blocks and go at 50 miles, with the 80 cc Malossi you should get to 60 miles or more also considering the variator and the camshaft, i hope you fix this soon because you're not using it at all. Greetings

did u change cdi?if not buy ducati or top performance.vario roller weights between 7,5-8,4 gr.
First.. main jet... Second clutch springs.. and third cdi.. and forth.. Malossi Vario and Malossi Vario White spring

We live a mile above sea level in Denver Colorado. We loose 20% of power up here.

So 43 was top speed? Or did you get it to 45-50 later on? Curious what just a variator will get it to.

I can do that with my stock 2021 motard 4t 4v without the big bore kit. I get 45mph. I can hit 70km plus
What is your top speed with 80cc
I'd like to see a Begining to end including the engine removal IF NECESSARY or not. Because I doubt you needed to remove the engine.
You do need to remove it on this model. But not on a Vespa
@Rolling Wrench I was going to do this myself but I don't want to fuck things up. I thought I could just remove all the panels and go from there.

Dude my dad wants me too get one of those I blew up my bws 😢 and I wanted a ditech 2007 sr50

Variator can only help acceleration put the big bore on and buy a unrestricted CDI you’ll see the difference

Is that the 4V head as well? I am trying to get a 2015 SR50 to do 45mph. I will trying speed control variator and malossi cdi.

@@RollingWrench Just ordered one! Any tips on how to install?
where did you buy all of these ??
How much hp would that cam give? Have you dynoed a before and after? I would guess .3 to .5 hp....no info can be found anywhere.
Not sure, I have never dynoed it. It’s noticeable
@@RollingWrench thanks!
But where's the how-to video for this? Is this the 4v 4t?

Why do I have to take the back half of the bike apart? Couldn't I just take the panels off and just leave it together and just go from there?
On a Vespa yes. On a piaggio or aprilia no
@Rolling Wrench well it looks I could.
@@g8some try it :-)
@@RollingWrench I will lol

If you change the final drive gears even better
Wheel size????
And I also have the same scooter.
Why is your scooter so slow before the kit? Mine is faster than that stock
It could be because you are at sea level and we are a mile above sea level. We loose 20% of power here in Denver Colorado
No carb re-jet?
Not in Colorado, a mile above seal level.
Do you have a how to video
That’s a touchy subject :-). I had 2 hours of how to on a second card that vanished.... I’ll need to try again again when I have the opportunity :-(
Plus when you showed the first take off you must have been pussy footing it because mine is faster and I have the same scooter.
That’s the real power here in Denver
@Rolling Wrench the altitude ruined the power lol I'm in canada and I'm only at a elevation of about 550 meters
