    If you are looking for the best bang for your buck in Vespa performance this is the kit for you. There is no other single upgrade that will perform like this performance big bore kit for your Vespa LX 50 or S 50. This kit will convert your two or four valve 50cc to a fire breathing 80cc

    Thanks for installing the Malossi big bore kit on my red S 50 4V. Best decision. I've felt so much safer being able to pull away as quickly as cars can at traffic lights and stop signs.

    Is this a 2 stroke ?? New to Vespas but I’ve not long got a lx50 and it shoots to 20 in a matter of seconds and tops at just over 40mph all standard parts apart from de-restricted exhaust & carb

    I asked advice from the professional service company of piaggio and they said that if you install 80cc malossi cylinder kit on a 50cc piaggio it will not last and it will brake.

      I've been running the 80cc Malossi kit on my 2015, 50cc Primavera since 2016, still running great in 2023.

    Most bore kits are by kids just wanting more bang short run - long endurance be damned.
    I've read that almost all 100cc kits actually are more like 82cc, which again is because a real 100cc would be way too much torque for the stock 50cc cam. Even 82cc probably means you should stay away from "hold the brakes and rev the engine" starts, and just enjoy the better getaway and pulling up hills torque. I'm beginning to see why the longest lasting big bore installation would actually include clutch rebuild and stronger cam, but if you bought a used scoot for $250 then you don't care about doing the "best" rebuild...

    i was hoping to see what i would get from an 80cc upgrade, but my 50cc does what yours does with an 80cc :)

      Maybe because you are at sea level and we are a mile above above sea level in Denver Colorado. We loose 20% of our power up here. Just food for thought 🤷‍♂️

      @@RollingWrench You that probably does make quite a difference, im pretty much right at sea level :) but i just mean that i didnt really get the difference view i was hoping for, great video anyway.

    Fun fact, a well setup 2v is just as fast as the 4v, I have a sprint 50 2v and a friend of mine an S 50 4v, on acceleration he pulls away just a bit but on top my 2v comes back

    • @RollingWrench
      @RollingWrench  5 років тому

      As far as top speed, it’s all about gearing. A 2v and a 4v will have the same top speed if both have the same gearing

  • @Pmz604
    @Pmz604 4 роки тому

    same top speed,, definitely higher torque
