My biggest personal learning: Keeping fit and lean is so much more important than what you wear. When you keep your belly flat, everything looks so much better! As someone who is built like a powerlifter (short legs, extremely muscular legs and glutes with a strong midsection), finding good clothing is really hard. Loosing 6-8 pounds and keeping them off is hard for me, but all my clothes look much better.
Facts.. i dont have a problem with clothes and moreso a problem with how they look with my beer belly
I agree you can look good in clothes but if you don’t feel fit and or is not fit then you won’t feel good in those clothes
Same was about to mention that. I am also a powerlifter. Tall with wide shoulders, but I ONLY carry weight in my gut. Everywhere else is fit, but that doesn't matter to people. I'm bigger and more muscular than most people I come in contact with, but Gut = Fat and Fat = Ugly no matter what you're wearing. If you "dress stylish" as an ugly dude people laugh b/c you look like a tryhard. I've been searching for something beside a suit that can up my style, but it really looks like there isn't anything out there for us.

LOVE this comment so much, because it is SoooOooo True. And this is exactly why, most Houstonians reserve outings to evenings. I actually find it, to be even more challenging for the work week. For weekends, top recommendation is a loose fitting t-shirt or a camp collar shirt like the one's mentioned in the video. For the work week, it's hard to beat a knit or dri-fit polo with tailored trousers/chinos and more heat forgiving shoes...like loafers. 😉
Even in scorching weather, there are some hacks to looking nice. Life is tough...and we men deserve it. Good style definitely has a way of 'significantly' elevating one's mood. 🕊

I have a ton! A ton of POLO, Ralph Lauren pieces. Some of them almost impossible to find let alone purchase. When I need money from time to time I sell some, always for more then what I spent on it. But I know truly I have to let some go.
Great video but for the city sneakers I would go with Ted Baker Udamo in white or white with a gum sole. They have other colors and combinations too.

You are ABSOLUTELY correct that fitness is a large part of style. And it's no secret that a fit body, can pull off a wider variety of outfits. However, paying attention to proportions, and some key style fundamentals as illustrated in the video, can make any guy's style just as versatile. Unfortunately, most men usually over index on one spectrum of clothing (i.e. too many sneakers), buy clothes that aren't flattering to their body type (extremely skinny jeans on a muscular or larger frame), or haven't yet familiarized themselves to the art of tailoring (ensuring clothing items are cut specifically to the individual's frame) .
You don't have to be super duper fit to look good. You just need to understand the basics, and avoid falling victim to trends.
Awesome video. And I really like the way you styled your handkerchief with your white T-shirt. How do you get the handkerchief so small. Have you cut half of the handkerchief off?
GREAT Question! Yes, most printed bandanas are about 23" x 23" in dimension. And they end up being extremely chunky when you roll them up for neckerchief wear. So I've found it's best to cut them in half diagonally prior to rolling✂. This makes for a slimmer, and more fitting neckerchief sizing. Hope that answers your question sir. Cheers! 🍻

@@s_gents Absolutely! I’m not the type of guy to check luggage when traveling; especially internationally. But when I do travel, I’m concerned about not being fashionable while traveling minimally. I’d be interested in seeing what you’d suggest as fashionable travel clothing, that packs down small to fit in carry-on luggage. I struggle with that a bit. Travel season is upon us to warm climates. (tropics, deserts of the Middle East, muggy Southeast Asia, etc)
I guess that’s where I’m going with that suggestion. 👍🏾

I'm sure a lot of retired Baby Boomers still wants to look good. I'm fit, able and consider myself lucking to be able to go go go. All videos on youtube seems to cater to younger folks.

Really like your type of style. Everybody from every corner screams now to wear baggy pants but i am a short fit bald guy. Serriously?
Unfortunately, social media keeps us drunk with trends. It'll all go away in another couple of years.There's a place for baggy pants, and they look good on some. But to suggest they look good on everyone, or that they're appropriate for every occasion is just downright silly. As a shorter man myself, I totally understand your sentiment. And I too stay far away from anything baggy. It makes you look EVEN shorter, and frumpy most times. A tailored slim or straight leg fitment, for our body type is the way to go.
