Honestly with UA-cam compression I gotta say it does a pretty darn good job. However I have a Vimeo link in the description that's a better representation of what you'll actually see of you try it yourself.
Okay i need help i download divacini resolve 18 free one and i cant do the transaction right. I think is more hard. When you pay for divacini resolve is more professional? I give you more option to editing videon then the free one? Is better to download the studio?
@@NathanCarterVids it would be helpful if you could also show any free method to upscale clips (the upscale option in clip attributes is available for studio version)
Right, yeah the only way I can't think of would be downloading an older version of Davinci as I believe resolve 15 had this feature for free. To be honest I've never really used it much so I don't know a ton about it. When I get back to the office in a few weeks I'll get around to experimenting with it and see what I can come up with.
This software is hard if you use the free one then the studio i guess, the free one is hard to put a transaction or leave a spot.. i think free version is not that good. I do not think so is gd
Hi Nathan, when I use the studio version of Davinci and apply the noise reducer, the movements of the people are no longer natural and it looks like a strange flow and choppy. Is there any way to do the noise reduction without affecting the natural movement?
yayayayayayayyaya thank you !!! I wanna put out my first 'well edited' video next week that I shot with a...decent camera that unfortunately wasn't focused on me and I got a bit of noise. I don't have the paid version so that helped !
Awesome Video Bro!!! Thx! Man, you gotta tell me what you´ve done to your skin!!! Kinda looks like a beauty commercial! ; ) Any Kind of retouching tool? Red Giant Cosmo? ; )
Glad you like it. As far as my skin goes, back then because of space limitations the main shot was lit pretty bad, so I was just trying to cover up. I probably qualified my skin and then brought down the midtone detail and stuck that on top of a layer where I bump the sharpness to make look even smoother by comparison. No fancy plugins, hope that helps.
As soon as i add even just one click of softness my video goes really slow and choppy ? has anyone else experienced this, i did think that my mac was powerful enough to handle this ??
Seems the camera world is on fire at the moment with the big players pumping out cheap entry level full frame bodies. I would love to do some video out under the stars working with nothing but moonlight, however my GX85 isn't exactly suited to that. I'm pretty heavily invested in M43 glass and would rather not have to buy into a new lens system if I can help it. I've been thinking about the bmpcc 4k with the battery grip and a simple cage to rig it up as a fairly light run 'n gun setup for these ultra low light scenarios. Just wondering Nathan if you have gotten to use your bmpcc 4k outdoors at night and what the absolute ceiling was on ISO for usable low light footage?
great question. There's a few things at play I'd say. The low light is good, but not like the sony A7 series. I'd say you can get away with up to 6000, then it gets fairly noisy. However the data rates and codec and way less compressed and with Braw there's no chroma sub sampling so you can clean things up better for sure. Hope that helps.
Good Stuff Nathan, as usual... timely too, I just eval'd both and will be ordering the studio version. I only wish they had a photo editor section for grading/filtering/noise reduction, to me it's that good. For now I'll make slide shows and pop out frames.
Why does Resolve not tell you that you can't use the NR? The UX is EXACTLY the same as the paid version! Did they really do a Google and not tell you that a feature that appears on all accounts to be available to free users actually is not?
Well in the free version, using any locked features results in a watermark on the video. You can still test it and use those features to see if they fit your needs.
@@awesomeferret I believe there are lists around that tell you, but with new versions releasing all the time it's sometimes hard to know, as something that was free a year ago may not be a free feature any more.
@@awesomeferret I see where you're coming from, but for a free version it's incredibly full featured. Not to mention the paid version is a one time fee with unlimited updates for the foreseeable future.
Thanks. I've honestly never tried on a standard definition video. As it does soften the image I'd be interested to see how that affects a smaller pixel count. I appreciate the support.
@@alessio55555 oh gotcha. Well it all depends on your computer. At this point my workstation is fairly old having a 1000 series Nvidia card so it's fairly sluggish and If it's needed I disable the noise reduction until I'm about to render. However with a more recent 3000 series card I believe it performs much better. When their price gets closer to MSRP I'll absolutely get one. Hope that helps.
The noise removal effect in fusion isn't free anymore? The tool in the colour page has been paywalled for a long time, but I didn't know they changed the fusion effect.

This is the honest opinion i see.
Good job sir.

thanks for this tutorial before I watch your video I found other techniques on internet but it doesn’t work, I will try this later 👍🏻
That's great. I find it does a pretty good job if you're just doing some touching up. Best of luck!

I cannot see any difference on UA-cam and the link to Vimeo doesn't work. A search on Vimeo for "davinci resolve noise": no reasonable links.
Thanks for letting me know. I kept it unlisted, but clearly something happened to the link. I'll try to get that fixed right away
Somehow the link broke, but I just got it fixed. Should be good to go. Thanks again for the heads up!
Thank you.
Helpful tutorial. However, the background music was very distracting.
lovely lovely tutorial NAthan i like STUDIO version would be well for SD analogic videos?

when fps when render with noise reduction 4k dci?
I'm not sure I follow the question.
@@NathanCarterVids the noise reduction seem to be very slow. Have you tried to process 4k video? How long to process a video of 5 seconds

I just bought a Zoom Q8n-4K...Hideous video. I'm gonna try LED photo lights then noise reduction.
Thank you for the tutorial but sadly with the 17 update this is no longer possible for free.

this is noooot free more 2023
