    4:47 Andy, bit of a heads up on those magazines. There is a grub screw (1.5mm hex key) underneath, and what you need to do is tighten the phillips screw until the correct amount of pressure is on the face plate. Then from underneath, use the hex key and tighten the small grub screw and lock the phillips screw in place. Also the same allen key can be used to adjust the ball detent height below the clear cover.

      Some 4 years on, and this tip of yours is spot on! I would never have thought to look for that 'tiny' grub screw underneath. This solves the problem nicely, Thank you!

    I own this gun and its fun to use and quite powerful for target shooting at backyard but its most likely to increase your budget as you need yo buy Co2 cartridge which only shoots 30 pellets and so on always spend money on Co2... which is more expensive to own this budget air rifle

    You can use the Grub Screw, but if you lose it you can use 2 thin Copper Washers, it allows you to tighten it up & still be able to move.

    Andy, re: the screw becoming loose on the magazine. Maybe some liquid threadlock, it's like a weakened glue, could be a solution.

    Just bought the artemis version as a 10m starter gun for my kiddo.
    The length of pull is adult size though; the stock will have to lose a good 10-15cm for this 7 year old midget.
    Funny the little differences. Mine has a proper silencer that made me thing the co was depleted.
    It fits 3 co2 cartriges, not 2, but weardly the screw does not go in the last 10mm when installed.
    Same thing when using te supllied 2-cartridge-sized plastic spacer.
    I did take it apart and removed the dirty graese around the trigger, cleaned and oiled with proper gun lube, adjusted the trigger to the back a bit with the way too short screw (will probably buy a 1-2mm longer one).
    Found the trigger guard screw and the one holding the lug on the underbarrel to be very loose.
    The endcap screw needed anouther 360 as well.
    Still need to take it to the range and test it properly. It seems to shoot a little low at short distance with the back sight all the way down.
    Will fix that … got a cheap gamo scope for it as well, so no biggie.
    So it needed a little t.l.c. before real use.
    All in all, i feel like I just scammed someone. What a lovely little thing for this bit of money!
    I keep taking it out of the bag like a little kid , in disbelief.

    I bought one of these because I'm suffering frozen shoulder as a result of of ICD unit being fitted in the right side of my chest .I can't cock my springers or hold them on target because of the weight .
    The CR600w is ideal for me as I don't need to exert to much pressure loading it or holding it on target as it is light .

  • @BedsitBob
    @BedsitBob 4 роки тому +7

    I'd say the reason it looks like a PCP rifle, is because it's essentially a CO2 version of the PR900W.
    Indeed, I wouldn't be at all surprised, if they're made on the same production line.

    • @kneejerkreactionuk
      @kneejerkreactionuk 5 років тому +2

      The .22 version is more efficient and it's very simple to raise the power a bit more with a couple of easy mods so that it's at least on a par with the Crosman & beyond. I much prefer these.

    • @jimmynich4791
      @jimmynich4791 5 років тому

      @@kneejerkreactionuk If this is anything like the cp1 and the 2260 is anything like the 2240 or 2250 then I'd rather get this and mod it for more power if it's needed. 2240 and 2250 have shocking build quality and have to spend a load of money to get them any good with their plastic breech. Cp1 was excellent for the price.

    • @BulletMagnet83
      @BulletMagnet83 4 роки тому +2

      Depending how similar the internals are to the CP1/CP2, I bet the aftermarket hammer springs would fit, perhaps with a bit of snipping/adjusting. If I could have one of these doing 20 shots per capsule at or around 10.5ft/lb, I'd be pretty happy for what little money it costs.
      I've recently been down the very deep and expensive rabbit hole of Crosman modding, and while I'm happy with the end result, if I were to spend that money again I would spend it on something else and save myself the ballache!

    Hi andy i know this videos been on your channel for a while now so i'm not sure if you will see this but i wanted to let you jut incase you didn't that there is in fact a pcp version of this gun which is called the pr900w i think it would be a great gun for you to review its accurate and powerful at around 12fpe , it is also sold by Diana in an FAC version which in .177 gets to around 23fpe under the name of the stormrider but it is the same rifle its just the FAC version i made for different regions which have no restrictions its an awesome PCP so if you get a chance to review either version i think it would be a great video for your channel.
