Wow, this Oberon appeals to me way more than the one in Mumbai…even though as you mention the style is a bit dated, the whole setting (the garden 😍) is so much warmer and hospitable. It’s a long time ago I visited India, this makes me want to go there! Thank you for the beautiful review 🙏🏼
Thank for giving India the recognition it deserves, though the street food videos and the chaos of the cities in India has its own charm but the luxury that I always wanted foreigners to know about India has finally been recognized, as a upper middle class and middle class person from India there is a completely different lifestyle we enjoy that not many foreigner explore, I actually booked a hotel in Mumbai on my recent trip on the recommendation of a foreign vlogger and after 15 mins of checking in I left the property and went to another one coz that property was nowhere near liveable, also the hospitality in India is nowhere else to be seen, I always tell everyone wherever I go about the hospitality
I stayed at Oberoi a decade ago and it is quintessentially 90's Bangalore as you rightly describe. The other hotel with a very similar vibe is the Taj West End. Did you stay there as well? I personally prefer the Taj over Oberoi.
I just booked my 3-night stay with Oberoi. I also watched your review on Leela, and although you scored it slightly higher, I decided to stay at the Oberoi. Thanks for your excellent, detailed reviews.
I have a friend who used to work here as an intern. He also had worked in other hotels like Taj. When I asked him which one is the best he told me that it is the Oberoi. Mainly because of the service. Seems like it is true. Thanks a lot for the video. Planning to visit here someday.
I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel and the staff's attention to detail and going the extra mile to make you happy is worth highlighting. I'm just very very satisfied 😊
I didn't- unless it is the only option, you will rarely find me at a pan-Asian restaurant. There are simply too many styles of cuisines to do them all well at the same time, from the same kitchen (in my opinon). Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I can’t appreciate the bgm choices enough.. while it’s easier to put a generic “Indian” music (that does at most time make my ears bleed because of how low effort they are), I love how the music flows with the general theme (especially for the Taj video and now this). Really enjoy your content! 😊
New subscriber superb honest lnformation I have tried oberai hotel for dinner and Breakfast as you mentioned it's little spicy but one has a variety..as you informed unbiased and FAIR appreciated your thoughts 🌹🌹🌹
Awesome video man...👍 I would recommend you to try THE ROSEATE GANGES in rishikesh if you want to experience natural+spiritual peace at some point in life. That place near the river changed my perception of life...
Hi there, from Bengaluru, the Oberoi is one of the top of hotels in Bengaluru, but you should also try the ITC Gardenia the next time you come, which i think is the best Btw Your content is as amazing!!
I certainly did not lol. One other viewer asked the same thing (in not quite the nice way you have) and I relistened to my pronunciation in the published video probably around 20 times and I clearly hear Mahatma. If I did hear Mohamed, I would have muted that part of the video.
I do wonder if you’ll ever visit Bora Bora and the French Polynesia! I just came back from the Four Seasons Bora Bora and I was amazed. If you ever plan on considering the four seasons bora bora, I highly advice and beg that you book the “Mountain View Room”, we stayed at the lagoon view also but the Mountain View was just mind blowing. Once you enter the room and then walk out to your little terrace, you’ll be blown away by the view, and if you do have the budget, upgrade to the Mountain View with plunge pool! Also, just subscribed to your Patreon with the explorer tier. I subscribed to your YT channel just five days ago and I gotta say love the content
Tahiti, the Maldives and the Seychelles are three places that are certainly on my list in the coming years, but simply becuase of the transport costs involved, all three are really deep dives for my kind of fast paced travel. This year, the closest I'll get to Tahiti will be Fiji (not complaining haha). Thanks for watching & the support 🙏
I really enjoy your videos. I just happened by chance to check out the price you paid for this, and expected that it would have cost at least triple the price. In Tel Aviv, that price will get you a basic room, in a "5 Star" hotel with nowhere near the service, or anything approaching the lavish splendor of that hotel.
Hi Kevin, you are doing an incredible job of showcasing some of our best in the hospitality sector...thank you for that. That said, this hotel is located on Mahatma(not Mohamad) Gandhi road or M.G. road.
Thanks, but I certainly did not say Mohammad- I’ve listened to it around 50 times and it’s clear as day Mahatma to me, which is why I haven’t muted it. Thanks.
Going to Kolkata later this month. I see the Oberoi offered at starting from INR 11,000 a.i. ($134). That looks like a bargain, when I see what you paid.
I really enjoyed my stay here...BUT...the pizza served (room service) was really cold...The next day I started chatting with one of the more friendly staff...and he gave me a lot of tips..and shared a lot of information about the hotel..He also told me about how some of the hotel staff were not doing a good job- and mentioned about the poor room service (in terms of how cold food was being served often ) as one of the things lacking...I told him I had had a similar experience last night. This was a year ago...I really enjoyed my stay except for this part.
I'm staying at Oberoi Bangalore right now and I'm finding the staff very cold, robotic, and disengaged. The sound proofing in the rooms is also terrible. You can hear every little thing your neighbors are doing.
I know for sure the rooms on both sides of me were occupied and I didn’t hear a thing unless I was out on the balcony. I guess you’ve got some noisy neighbors!
Why India scares you? India has low crime rate than USA and many Western countries. India is currently the 5th largest economy in the world. I think you should stop watching Western media reports which are mostly biased.
Kevin the oberoi Bengaluru is nowhere compared to some of the international hotels you have reviewed like say amankila, or some of the places in the Maldives, greece or Mauritius. This hotel is a great city hotel but does not have the wow factor some of your other properties. This one is bang on the main city area of Bangalore.

It’s Mahatma Gandhi Road. Pronounced in the same way.
(And that’s how I pronounced it…)
Worst lunch one could ever have at an oberoi. They're compromising on quality these days.
