    I live about 30 minutes from cherry corals and never knew it existed. Took a guy from Canada to tell me it was here 😅 Just picked up a 21 tails torch from them today. Thanks for the heads up on this place.

    Great video! I gotta say, since switching to ESV salt I NEVER have any crud buildup, nor do I ever need to clean the pump! I do, maybe once a year anyway but it's always spotless and unnecessary. Been using their two part since day one and so many benefits from it. Magnesium, strontium and potassium are always on point, never need to dose those elements as they are in the two part already. Everything balanced perfectly.

    • @Falteredsoul
      @Falteredsoul Рік тому +2

      There are a few systems with lps in them. Three have similar levels of nitrate around 20ppm and phosphates between .80 and .50. One of the front tanks with the torches and bounce mushrooms has phosphates over what the Hanna 774 phosphate checker can read so above .9

    super interesting and incedible nice looking corals. especially the nutrient part was very interesting for me. not running skimmers, not running rollermats - all understandable. but with this few fish, and this load of corals that are clearly growing not "slow" - where does the nitrate and phosphate come - extra dosing? can't be only from little reef roid handfeeding right?

    • @brettharris4820
      @brettharris4820 Рік тому

      Hi Markus, We have to dose nitrates in the form of Calcium or Sodium Nitrate, otherwise they would be at zero. Phosphates are pretty easy, we feed Mysis shrimp and LRS frozen foods daily.

    I am a bit confused, initially when you asked, what are the water paraments, they said only test KH and they dont know what there water parameters are. Then @39:23 they show they doing ICP test and got all the bottle to add elements...

    • @brettharris4820
      @brettharris4820 Рік тому +1

      hey 2nd Chance Second Life, We test Alkalinity daily on all systems. Weekly test of Nitrate and Phosphates. Since we are using ESV B-ionic on most of the systems, there is no need to test Calcium or Magnesium. We do ICP testing on all the systems every 3-4 months. The two SPS systems we have get ICP tests every month and we use the Reef Moonshiners system on those. One SPS system has Kalkwasser dosed 24/7 and we do have to bump up magnesium once every month or so. Hope that clears it up and thanks for watching!

    Cherry corals has nice corals but WILL NOT honor their DOA policy's. I reached out to them a few times after receiving a hammer that was fried! completely skeleton by the time it arrived. everything else looked good, but they never did get back with me. I sent multiple emails. they responded 2-3 times asking questions and wanting pics, but then went silent after providing everything they asked for. (This happened in 2020)
