Hello, I just want to say, because of you, I have learned more about my 350 then I ever knew. Thank you. I used to have a love hate relationship with my SCN 350, but now thanks to you, I love it and I have cut out dozens and dozens of stamped images. My machine is connected to wireless, but I have not set Canvas Work Space. I look forward on learning that as well. Also you taught me how to upgrade my machine because I was missing an edit tab, with the upgrade, I got it back. Thank you so much.
Judy, you read my mind because my very next video planned is how to connect Brother Canvas Workspace! Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment. Even though I have a new machine, I don’t plan on getting rid of my CM350 so you will keep seeing tutorials on both machines.
I am so glad you finally got a machine that works and that you like it and can recommend it! Still waiting on my mat! I sure hope the mat works and I don’t have to get a new machine. My wireless did hook up properly but I had to get help from Brother. I’ve found them to be extremely helpful. Have a good weekend!
Donna, I just did a wireless video and you can make sure files transfer from Canvas Workspace to your machine even while you are waiting for your mat to arrive.
Yay Kim!!!! So happy your new SDX is working! Congrats my friend :-) ! Still waiting to get my new mat going to call tomorrow! Have a good evening and thanks for all that you do!
Thanks for the love. It was a great feeling to see it working as it should this time. I am finally able to recommend it and now I can try all kinds of stuff with it.
Hi Betty, Feel free to ask questions in my ScanNCut Group. Also, be sure to search my Channel because i have hundreds of ScanNCut tutorials here including beginner ones. facebook.com/groups/paperedchefscanncut
@@PaperedChef I bought a used CM650w and I hope to upgrade with my paper crafting if I can get up to speed. I share my love of creating with my church and ministry too
You make things look so easy. I just downloaded Canvas ----I still have to do the wireless activation ---baby steps as life is getting in the way. I still do not know where to use the number that shows --where it says register your machine in Canvas Workspace. I did not see that on the computer at all when I registered.
Thanks Sue, yes, this is the type of machine you have to master in Baby Steps. There are two versions of Canvas Workspace. One is the one you download to your PC in case you want to use fonts from your computer. The other version is web based. The web based one is the one you log into to register your machine. I know this is 4 yrs ago but I have watched alot of your current ones too. You are so good at this. I just recently duped myself. I have an SDX85 and really like it but wanted a little bit more. Bigger screen, more online designs etc. But I decided I would keep the 85 as I would never get a decent price for it and if I needed more than one sheet of something (I do make sticker sheets), I could use 2 at the same time. BUT, I thought you could register more than one machine and select which machine you want to send to. But Brother says no. You have to have 2 separate Canvas acct. I was like WHAT? How stupid is that? I know you have more than one machine, is that what you had to do too? Or did you find a better way to use 2 machines? TIA
Thanks actually not true. You can register multiple machines. Then, when you send the design, you can retrieve it on multiple devices. I do it a lot. I still like my older machines better for certain tasks.
@@PaperedChefThank you so so much for answering me and willing to help me. So where are you saving it to or saving it to that multiple machines can retrieve it. That is what I want. I want to be able to let both machines cut either the same or even different things at the same time but wasn't happy about having to have 2 different workspaces. The 2 I have are an SDX85 and SDX125. Brother told me if I wanted to register the machines they each had to have their own Canvas workspace. I registered them both with one workspace but when I create and want to send to a machine, it does not let me pick the machine. It doesn't even tell me which machine I am sending it to.
@judipalumbo You register the machines on Canvas Workspace. I covered it in my tutorials and courses. Here is a link. ua-cam.com/video/2ZTQzfOjWZE/v-deo.htmlsi=YF7mfyE-_Jo4GHVC
@@PaperedChefI did that but when you create something and want to export it to a machine.... it doesn't give you the option to pick which machine. It just lets you do it.... then I have to go to both machines to see which one has it. Of course I know about your tutorial about it, that is why I was asking you cause brother says it is not possible to have 2 machines on the same workspace.
Yes I would because I love crafty tech toys. The SDX125 is going to be fun to use when it works right. Also, as I learn it and share it with all of you, I master the machine. I learn even more when I teach due to the viewer feedback. This summer, I have big plans for another Udemy course. It will be my 4th class on that platform and it will be on all different projects then I show on UA-cam.
I get asked this question a few times a day. I like to keep it real. At this point in time, I am still recommending the CM350 over the SDX125 simply because it does a better job with scanning and cutting my stamped images. That is what I do the most. If you cut fabric, vinyl, and thicker materials, go with the SDX125 because it will make your life easier with the autoblade and speed. I love using the SDX for cutting the build in patterns and cutting my projects from Brother Canvas Workspace. Here are my links for when you are ready to take the plunge. Do you have any idea why the 125e stopped connecting to the network? Mine just did the same and I tried your technique to reset the network and it didn’t work.
The SDX125 came with wireless already enabled. You just had to set it up on your network and register your machine. I did a tutorial on this on UA-cam if you are interested. My entire fleet of ScanNCut machines have helped me enormously. They took my crafting skills to a whole new level and allowed me to be even more creative because of the possibilities.
That is what I wondered also. I have ordered my machine and have not gotten it to my house yet. So ---we do not need to buy anything extra to use the Canvas network ---that is exactly what I have been so confused about. Thanks for asking --and the answer.
Sue Busch For the SDX125, you don’t need anything extra. For the CM350, you need to card. I have tutorials on the Wireless Activation for both models here on my UA-cam Channel. Thanks!
Oh yes, you missed my unboxing of the SDX125. What a disaster. I kept it on UA-cam but I will not make you endure the pain of watching it. My first machine was totally defective. My mats wouldn't load, the scanner wouldn't align, and I couldn't get it only my wireless network. Brother Tech Support was awesome and they sent me a new mat and a new ScanNCut. I had to send the other one back but there was a period where I was able to compare my two machines.
@@PaperedChef Oh wow...that must have been a challenging experience. I just got my SDX125e and I haven't unboxed it yet but I am going to do this week so that I can check that it works properly.
