This is an awesome video. She explained in detail the process and pointed out features as she went along. Learned so much, thank you for taking the time to explain and not rush the information. You are the best!!!!
I am contemplating getting one of these machines but was a little intimated. You make is look so easy and you explained everything in detail. I couldn't have learned more from any other video. Thank you so much. And yes, it is very quiet.
A big thank you for the video have watch loads of other help videos and all I got from them was a headache iIcame across yours and it is now saved in its own folder Good ScanN Cut videos. I have now cut my own HTV and solved the problem of it just keaving me with individual letters to try and apply myself. Thank you again for the bit on using the half cut. Used it and it worked I am so happy your video is so simple and yet so informative far far superior to the many thats out there. 😊😊😊😊😊
You did an excellent job at explaining this. I wished more people would be this great at explaining things. Do you have more videos especially for beginners?
I just bought a 230DX and I'm so intimidated by it - also bought a roll of sparkly vinyl - didn't come with directions tho! ..... You're a great instructor!
This has shown me more than looking at the official site, which does not go far enough. In fact not many of these essential tips on the official site at all
Thank you! I was looking for what the Cricut can do and saw a review and the guy mentioned this Brother Scan and Cut! He brought to my attention that not only do you have to use a laptop for the Cricut but you have to pay $5 & $10 fees for their online site. He prefers this machine to the cricut. So, now I have another option to place words on my face masks and t-shirts. When you iron on the word smile do you pull off the plastic? You did not show that step, so, I'm asking. I also noticed that fabric can be drawn on and cut. Does the machine cut up to 6ft of fabric?
Once you have weeded the bits not needed, you will still have the backing on for it all. This is correct, as only the actual pattern will adhere to your project. After leaving it to cool just peel off all the backing afterwards.
Is there a way to change the font width without changing the font height? I created some text that's supposed to be 3" wide by 1" high on the Brother Canvass workspace but when I send it to the cutter, the size has changed and I don't see a way to get it to the size I want.
Yes go to edit, to resize (the 1st button at the top) the at the bottom of resize you will see what looks like a 1 plus a vertical line and another 1 at an angle. Once this is clicked you can size each part separately. I hope this is clear. Mine is the SDX 90 so if yours is different it may have different ways to get into the resize.
Scan and cut 225F costs over $600.00 and only has a cheesy 1 year warranty. People already complaining about rollers not pulling mat into machine even after cleaning mat and rollers. No sale!!!
I’m experimenting. What’s working for me is setting the blade between 2 and 3. My pressure is set at 1 and speed is set at 1. Seems to be working. I’m new at this.
could I scan a picture printed of the i Tetney put it in scan paper and it will scan the picture and be able to print it I have seen someone doing a picture by hand but I can't draw lol.
Such a great, slow, understandable tutorial. Thank you.

Unfortunately, no. It wouldn't be able to do that.
I should've watched this video sooner before I had destroyed my mat...not one but two mats
