Hi Ken, in all of my videos the external microphone is placed exactly the same way to the left of the steering wheel and with the same settings. So yeah, it's a quiet car except when you accelerate for example at 6:04. Then you can hear that typical CVT sound, but once you reach your max speed it goes quiet again.

I'd say: soundproofing, interiors, the way it drives and price Mazda. acceleration, consumption and reliability Corolla. Both are a good choice, you have to drive them both and see what suits you best.
