    I just picked up a whole slew of Japanese sunscreens on a recent trip. Most of their formulas are water resistant, super cosmetically elegant, and cheap! Honestly I like most of them better than Korean formulas and they stay in place when I'm sweating outdoors.

    GEN X here, and I've been reminiscing with my siblings about growing up in the 80's as kids playing outside all day in the summers, and going to the beach out here in California. WE NEVER WORE SUNSCREEN!!! In fact, does anyone here remember Bain de Soleil or Coppertone TANNING Lotion?! We were too poor to buy the real thing, so we would slather BABY OIL on our skin!!! And we WOULD BAKE. Most of the times we would burn so bad we could actually peel off the dead skin in big slabs at a time. We would get 2nd degree burns often, and the doctor would only say, "stay out of the sun", but never told us to use sunscreen.
    QUESTION: What was your experience with Eye Stinging? Did it irritate your eyes in any way?
    Anyway, Feeling grateful to my body for keeping me alive all these years. And thank yuuuu, to You 💞and THE ENTIRE SKINCARE COMMUNITY ON UA-cam, FOR TEACHING ME ABOUT SUNSCREEN!! 🌱🌱🌞

      I‘m an 80s child as well and my most epic sun burns i had were from my childhood. My mom never used sun lotion on us. Sometimes she smeared some yoghurt on the sun burned skin and said „soon you‘ll have brown skin“. Don‘t know if this will have some consequences on my skin sooner or later.. 😢

This one will be best to be used when going out for between 10-4 when sun is out and shining and we are sweating if not in AC. Also for those evening kids events Which starts at 4 and ends at 6-7 . What a great idea . When used as need based its not expensive because then one bottle can last for 6 months or more

    Hi ! My favorite waterproof sunscreen is Mommy sunscreen Spf 50 from a japanese brand. Its fragrance and alcohol free, invisible and way more affordable that this one. It has been my favorite for 6 years. The best so far .
    But how does this one feel on the skin? Does it blend and stick to the skin or not? I have tried similar looking gel sunscreens from supergoop and frezyderm and they both leave a film that does not dry down, never stick/ blend to the skin like a regular moisturizer, it's just a film, like having a silicone film on the skin that you can feel everytime you touch your skin. By looking at it, it just seems that they followed the same concept that has already been used by multiple brands but for a much more higher price.

      Thank you so much for watching hun and sharing your thought.. When it comes to sunscreen the most important thing for me is that its give the spf thats advertised, that it feels good on the skin and that there are added benefits.. I do agree with you I prefer new generation filters generally for sure but if they can make the older style ones work this well then I think its a nice addition to the sunscreen market.. Its a good point re info on the filters so I will add some more information in the description box :) sending you lots of love x

    We do need a full video on water resistant sunscreens. Curious to know what testings they did and standards they apply to claim it's 80 min water resistant.
    From my understanding, only Australian water resistant standards require the sunscreen to be still at SPF 50+ after 4 hours. Other countries standards require the SPF to be at only 50% after 4 hours.

      @MadAboutSkin  15 днів тому +1

I had enquired about the percentage of vitamin C and niacinamide. I was hoping it would be a somewhat one stop shop type of sunscreen. Still looking forward to trying it though

    Too expensive. I go through truckloads of spf and $45 is just far too high. I rarely exceed $20 for 50 ml, despite being able to afford it, unless an spf is truly exceptional in some way.
    Evy is one example of a price exception for me; it will cling for 8 hours, so I pay the $35. LRP’s uvmune400 line used to be the other example, bought for their long uva innovation, but now you can get them for $20 even in the US. So really it’s just Evy I pay extra for.
    Water resistance is just not innovative enough to justify $45 for me. There are lots of water resistant spfs that are great primers and contain antioxidants and niacinamide for far less money. And the clear gel thing is super cute but not really useful. 🤷‍♀️
