The random hand at 0:42 made me laugh for no reason except that when I click on a Comic Casper video I know it will be funny so I was already in the mood to laugh. Since I paused the video there cause I am a dummy who laughs at stupid stuff I heard that manga that hand picked up, Dr Stone, has a really interesting world but I never had the budget to pick it up. DanDaDan MY NO.1 MANGA always has been since it dethroned Kaiju no. 8. Sakamoto Days and Vinland Saga solid pickups too. I wish to reread them one day maybe after I've read a lot more. Really amazing haul and great video!
Love this comment haha. Sometimes it is the little and subtle things in life that make us laugh. I'm just happy I could offer some comedic relief. Dr Stone art looks epic, and I'm excited to experience Dan Da Dan and get my dose of good laughs. Thank you for watching, and I'll catch you soon.
So glad you picked up Dandadan! You're going to run to the store and buy the rest after you get the taste of the first one! Such a fun series! Another fun series (a personal favorite of mine) is "The eminence in shadow"! Think you'll love it
Sounds like my wallet will dissolve quickly, I do love a fun series. The eminence in shadow is a cool title, I'll have a peek, thank you for the recommendation.
I think my biggest manga haul was (not including box sets) was a sakamoto days haul, where I bought all volumes at the time (10(apart from volume 9 because I had it already)). Also a big haul was when I bought JJK 1, 3, 15 and 16; Your Name 1 and 2; Noragami 21
my biggest purchase was like 120€ if i recall correctly. Dandadan is really great, i love it as well! I have the first volume of gokurakugai as well. it just came out in German. I've read chapter one online and was hella hooked. if you like the more cold and adult themes manga, i would also recommend "Jagaaan" and a newer one called " Centuria" lovely Video mate!
Epic manga recommendations! Thank you, looked them up, and their artwork looks phenomenal, something that catches my eye. Also nice haul, that would have been a decent pile of manga. Lastly, thank you for the kind words.
My guy, there’s so much manga to read it’s overwhelming. Here’s some underrated recommendations 1. Colorless 2. Orange 3. Summertime rendering 4. The summer hikaru died 5. Blood on the tracks 6. Candy and cigarettes 7. For the kid I saw in my dreams 8. Banana fish 9. I am a hero 10. Magus of library Here are some of the more popular ones 1. Hunter x hunter 2. Monster 3. Attack on titan 4. Jojos bizarre adventure 5. Homunculus 6. Innocent 7. Delicious in dungeon 8. Vagabond 9. Fist of the North Star 10. The breaker I’ve read over 200 manga so it was hard for me to put this together let me tell you 😂
WOW! you are well versed in the world of manga, I'm sure I am well fortunate to recieve some stellar recommendations from you. Thank you, and yes, I will be overwhelmed for years to come, a great problem to have.
Welcome aboard! Makes me happy to hear, and thank you for the kind words. Vinland has been great, still yet to dig into those extra volumes, hope to catch you on the next episode.
I highly recommend Happiness, the title alone captured me when I first looked at it at a B&N bookshelf. The first volume alone will hook you, it’s a vampire story (which is a genre I’m not much of fan of) but one that definitely views things in a different light. It’s a very underrated manga & great vampire story. Collects 10 volumes. Also keep it up with the great vids my guy 👏🏼 I started off watching your first comic related content & was excited when I found out your first manga was Berserk, insane! Ur vids are entertaining as always.
After experiencing some Hellsing I'm down to try out some more vampire manga fun times, hopefully I can find physical copies here. Wow, blows my mind how so many viewers have endured my early day content, MVPs of the channel. Berserk is so epic, and will be starting volume 4 soon. Thanks for the kind words, and catch you soon.
Hey, just discovered your channel. Great stuff! So I would like to give some feedback and recomendations: -Your topic/list videos are more fun to watch than the solo reviews( I think it is because it fits better with the strengths of the channel, like fast/fun editing and the physical (mostly premium) books that you are showing) -If you still plan on doing comic book videos I would love a video about underrated super hero comics outside Marvel/DC( I mean nobody is talking about Radiant Black and the Black Hammer books, and people should) -If you still planning on going down tha Manga rabbit hole I would love a video perspective of "My Manga Journey as comic book fan" or something like that. -The manga recommendation " The disastrous life of saiki k" is one of the funniest mangas you can ever read if you like commedy. And if you like Chainsaw man I think you will aslo like Gantz. Anyway keep up the good work!
This is an incredibly intelligent and insightful comment. I value your feedback, it helps me to understand what works, and what could be improved on. I will absolutely continue to create comic book content, and it feels like you read my mind, because I have a video coming up soon about recent Image Comics I've been reading. I would like to experience Radiant Black and Black Hammer too, on the wishlist they go. Thank you for the kind words, recommendations and food for thought.
Hey just saw your Chainsaw Man video and now seeing this and you got Fire Punch too so I'm definitely sticking around hoping to see it in the future 😊 Nice to see you got Part 2 too, most complaints from it came due to it switching to a more relaxed schedule so it would be either one or two weeks between chapters instead of consistently weekly, and while that was good for author's health it has hampered the pacing 😅 But reading it in volumes would probably be less noticeable 😁
True, I'm happy to just wait for the volumes to come out, after all, I have so much to keep me busy in the interim. Will be looking forward to experiencing Fujimoto's other work, it Fire Punch already looks and feels so different.
Awesome seeing you like all the manga recommendations! I discovered you from your past manga haul video and was genuinely surprised you enjoyed BLAME!, considering how little exposure it seems to get. On that note, I'd love to recommend the author Tsutomu Nihei's other work Knights of Sidonia. Thankfully it is complete with a total of 15 volumes, and I can't list just how many great timeless details are packed in it that are still very much relatable to today 15 years after its first publication. But enough glazing, hopefully you check it out!
Yeah BLAME! was so epic, I will need to hunt down the rest of the volumes eventually, also keen to read Knights of Sidonia now too, Nihei seems to have a deep and thoughtful approach to storytelling.
Like you I’ve been a comic fan forever and got such a rush when I dove into manga. Cant wait to hear your thoughts on Vinland and Blade Of The Immortal! I LOVE Both of them!
So true, sounds like we followed a similar pathway into the medium. Vinland hit the ground running with a strong start, and I'm happy to hear you enjoyed Blade of the Immortal, I bet I will too.
I was so happy when I saw Dandadan in the thumbnail. It’s my second favourite manga, only second to Chainsaw Man. It’s wacky, it’s fast paced, and it’s overall just a great time. The author of Dandadan actually was an assistant to Tatsuki Fujimoto, the creator of Chainsaw Man. Love both of these series, and hope you will enjoy them too.
Wow, that is some serious high praise for Dandadan, I do enjoy whacky fun fast times. It is incredible how many top tier mangakas spawn additional top tier mangakas, it is the shadow clone jutsu in real life.
(Without having looked) not sure how long your channel has been around, but you make fantastic content and I really appreciate the soothing but goofy tone of your videos, great to listen to as I play some Runescape. You're really hitting it hard getting into a lot of incredible manga content, and I applaud the enthusiasm for it. I'm a manga guy trying to find my way into comics sort of and will be checking out more of that content on your channel before long. Glad you picked up Dandadan as it is at a great point currently in its story and it'll be interesting to hear your takes on it as you progress (easily worth a video similar to that of your Chainsaw Man video, especially with how it's blowing up at the moment. Also, I think having all of chainsawman Part 2 to read through right away rather than needing to wait weekly you'll be able to enjoy it more than us Pesky weekly readers who just want more (I love part 2 and can't agree with the complaints about its differences, though it is different than Part 1 for sure). I'll definitely make the Recommendation for Undead Unluck for incredible story telling and one of the most interesting Power systems to date. Based on your love of art I'll make two unusual suggestions for you that you probably won't see recommended by anyone else as they do not fit into the "Shonen" genre of manga and are more quiet stories being told for the sake of incredible story telling. First being The Girl from the Otherside. A dark, eerie tale with beautiful yet haunting art that I believe will certainly peak your interest, its complete and rather short in comparison to some of the more long running series. (Epic editions now available!) Second, and certainly will be outside the realm of a lot of the manga you're currently reading as it has an extremely more child friendly nature, but a happy and good vibe (I think Dreamworks could make a fantastic film for it), is Nicola Traveling Around the Demon's World. Its a manga for genuinely ALL ages. The art is extremely unique which is why I bothered picking it up to begin with. 4 books, quick read. A great read with the family should anyone reading have kids with interest of getting them into Manga. And now a quick list for other unique and fun reads: Sandland (Author of Dragonball Z, Akira Toriyama, Incredible story told in 1 volume) Look Back and Good Bye, Eri (Two separate stories, 1 book each by Tatsuki Fujimoto, both very popular right now) Heart Gear may peak your interest similarly to that of No Guns Life I'm sure I could think of more for you, but the absolute most important is none other than my own Channel's name sake, One Piece. The largest most important manga out there in my mind. As a bonus if you read this far I'll let you know that once you complete Hell's Paradise, and you will because it is that good, there is a short but fun "One-shot", a single chapter that can be found online that takes place after the end of the Manga. It may be just what you need once you're done to get that little extra bit of satisfaction after completing the series read through. Won't take you but 20 minutes IF that to read and you'll be glad you did. It was released I believe a year after the manga ended. Hope to see more manga from you soon. and if you keep it up be ready for the channel to blow up! Good luck!
S-Tier comment award unlocked! I really appreciate the time and effort taken to write this comment. It offers an honest reflection of how the video content comes across to a viewer, but also densely packed with reading recommendations that I will find valuable on my journey to broaden my manga experience. There are so many great options there to chose from, Heart Gear sounds awesome, and definetly gives me No Guns Life vibes judging by the artwork online. Great to hear Hell's Paradise got a little bonus 1 year post finishing, seems like the writer felt compelled to give a little extra to close off his epic story, very excited to one day buy all the volumes and experience it. I look forward to creating more content, with hopes of offering more value to passionate readers and collectors such as yourself, and uniting like minded people together.
@@comiccasper3053 I almost felt bad giving more recommendations with how much you’ve already got going, but obviously do take your time. I’ll enjoy it all along the way.
That's a looot of stuff, some good picks there too! Glad you're continuing The Fable, such an underrated one and Blade of the Immortal too. Personally I collect more sparsely when it comes to physical for various reasons (moving a lot and space limitations) so I only grab things I really loved and keep the reading to mostly digital. Ayy you got Fire Punch, awesome, anything Tatsuki Fujimoto I'll always be here for it if you ever decide to make a video on it. Fun fact the authors of Hell's Paradise and Dandadan have both worked as assistants with Fujimoto, another famous one you may know is the author of Spy x Family. And another one have recently started a manga called Centuria, quite a talented collective eh, seems like everyone who worked with him has went on to start their own manga of some renown. Good update, looking forward to whatever comes next!
That makes perfect sense S Y, regarding space limitations, I believe this is probably an issue for many people. I am amazed how Tatsuki Fujimoto managed to work with such an epic roster of individuals who then went on to be super stars of their own, it's like he assembled the mangaka Avengers. A very accurate description regarding Fable, it totally ticks all of those boxes.
Thank you, Gantz sounds and looks like something awesome. Also started watching Jujutsu Kaisen and would be keen to read the manga, the series is great so far.
I have read any of those but they look so epic! I recommend Ghost in the Shell,Ghost in the Shell 1.5 Human Error Processor,& Ghost in the Shell 2 Man Machine Interface if your looking for something futuristic and with a lot of technology! Also they are by Shirow Masamune and I love all three and am getting the paperbacks from Amazon in the next few weeks! (I already own the hardcovers but just want to see what they are like in the paperback format). Great video You have a new subscriber 😊
Ghost in the Shell is so awesome! I will never forget experiencing the anime movie, that made a big impact on me, and made me fall in love with anime. I should add it to my list of must get manga. Thank you for the kind words, the subscription and happy you were able to find this channel.
Manga is one hell of a drug lol To answer your question, I do own all of those manga and I enjoy them all. My 2nd favorite manga of all time is Slam Dunk! My first is Berserk. I never liked basketball, and never played basketball and yet, this is my second favorite manga of all time! I really like the delinquent characters and life lessons you can learn from this manga. Highly recommend! I would give it the 3 volume rule to see what you think! Some other favorites are JoJo’s bizarre Adventure, Akira, and Fist of the North Star!
One of the better addictions out there, this Slam Dunk manga sounds like an epic banger. I too am not a basketball guru, but from the sounds of it, I bet it would suck me in super quickly, deep meaning and character building is where it's at.
@@comiccasper3053 thanks for the reply back man! Your channel is one of my favorites! Keep up the great work! I look forward to the next video! Indeed, it is an epic banger! Oh, and I forgot to mention, there were several laugh out loud moments in that manga for me!
Definitely check out one piece, it has one of the most diverse and well built worlds in all of fiction. It is reeeeaaaallly long though, currently sitting at 1123 chapters.
One piece. The best this medium can offer. It can rival any fantasy book in my opinion in terms of storytelling, Characters, foreshadowing and world-building. It is the best selling manga of all time and is 2nd best selling comic of all time just beating Batman & Spiderman.
Wow that is awesome! I'm happy to hear manga is infiltrating libraries, been a while since I've been in my local library, I'm sure things have changed.
@@comiccasper3053 Yeah it's really cool. Though they're not all available locally but the county has a system where you can request any amount of books from any library in the county to be shipped to yours. So the one near me doesn't have any of berserk but every volume is in at least one library somewhere in the county. Which is convenient since it takes about 6 hours to drive across the county
Bro can you make a video on one short manga or comics, Do consider my request/video idea. I just don't have time to read long series hence I wanna stick to something small!
Wow the price difference between Japan and Saudi Arabia is big, it is the same here in Australia, manga is about $14-18 AUD here, whereas it's about $4-5 in Japan 🤯
@@comiccasper3053 woah you're Australian? Manga is so much more difficult and expensive to get here nowadays even though it's gotten more popular. Used to be $10 AUD a volume like 8 years ago back when book depository was still around.
@comiccasper3053 exactly 😭🙏🏻 a worse problem is that bookstores here really suck- I mean the hugest one never fills the stock it just gives you 1-7 and then skip to last volumes. So guess I gotta order and get damaged manga 😭
not all youtubers actually read the comments, and i was so happy to see mine in the video. I hope the best of luck for you

-Your topic/list videos are more fun to watch than the solo reviews( I think it is because it fits better with the strengths of the channel, like fast/fun editing and the physical (mostly premium) books that you are showing)

1123 chapters, wow, haha, my brain can barely comprehend the tale of One Piece at this stage. I think that manga will be my Mount Everest.
Casper the hitman ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thankfully no one was hurt during the filming of this video.
awasome editing bro
Thank you, I really appreciate it.
One piece. The best this medium can offer. It can rival any fantasy book in my opinion in terms of storytelling, Characters, foreshadowing and world-building.
It is the best selling manga of all time and is 2nd best selling comic of all time just beating Batman & Spiderman.
That is some incredible praise, and amazing information. One Piece seems to be God Tier in the manga space, I look forward to one day experiencing it.
@@comiccasper3053 looking forward for your review.
I get all my manga from my library. I live in a populous area so they have almost every semi-popular manga that's been released in english
I recommend watching the JoJo's Bizarre adventure anime parts 1-6 and then read the part 7 manga (it's a masterpiece)
JoJo's Bizzare adventure seems to have a cult following, I feel like I will need to brace my brain for all the insanity.
Gokurakugai looks like any other yaoi manga, i don't get why people praise it so much in art therms
I had to Google what that meant, haha, nice.
Waiting on a goodnight punpun video. *the* manga that emotionally damages you
I will need to hydrate well first, so I can survive the torrent of tears 😭.
Bro can you make a video on one short manga or comics, Do consider my request/video idea. I just don't have time to read long series hence I wanna stick to something small!
I like that idea, l'll see what sort of short stories I have available, or experienced.
He opened one page from the fire punch Manga.
Try reading it and I'm not responsible for what happens to you😅
I just finished it, I am now attending therapy regularly 🙃.
Keep up the good work 😊
Sooo MUCH manga!
Manga madness, let's gooooooooooooo
Where is that store 😁
That was in a Comic Con in Perth, but the actual store is in Sydney, called Kings Comics.
@@comiccasper3053 Thank you!
It’s so fricking expensive, 50 riyals for one single volume, the full sets are so much worse with my broke ahh 😭
what country are you from bro?
@@episode2b35 Saudi Arabia, I went to Japan and got like 7 and they were all just 10, so 7 manga +2books =90
that’s like a dream 😭
Read *Tower Of God*
That's not a request it's an order
😂
Order recieved! Although wallet will need to recover.
Hey buddy ❤😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hey Ferid! Welcome back, hope you are well.
I saw the new SML movie called duggie the hitman 😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😊😂😂😂
He will discover manwha soon
One day, too much to read, so little time.
Bro you should call your store and replace the defective mangas
Well said, the wonky manga life is a sad life.
