Thanks for posting this Alec... been playing Lion Rampant a while now, but it's good to listen to an experienced player sharing their thoughts like this. Never been really confident with light troops but I'll try to make better use of them next game!
Nice video, thanks for sharing. I've gone from fairly elite-centered warbands as the norm, to making more use of the lighter troops after a very successful game I had at Hammerhead this year, in which my skirmishers stifled my opponent's advance very effectively (albeit helped by great dice, granted) and allowed me to secure the objectives and better ground. Currently in one of my Dragon Rampant forces, I'm experimenting with three units of Scouts to try for a similar effect and allow me to taunt enemies to move where I want them (and if they don't, they get peppered with fire). Is working fairly well so far! Although when things do go wrong, they're quickly smooshed into the mud. :D Cheers!
Yes, they can be very effective, but they are also very squishy. You do needs lots of terrain, to keep them safe, without that they don't last long. I love it when Knights have to charge them in woods etc if they pass their Wild Charge test. It can get very messy for them. ;)

I just got into Lion Rampant, will subscribe for other unit analysis!
Just ordered this & dragon rampant. Looking forward to giving them a read! Have a nice weekend! Cheers!
I must get a copy of Dragon Rampant, it is good I hear.

Excellent detail as always. Thank you for sharing
Cheers Gra.
Playing Pikeman's Lament, Dragoons work very similar to the light cav, and the Veteran upgrade is oft worth it.
Yes, they can be very effective, as dragoons were.
Great info thank you I’m just working on 1-2 crusades this is helpful 👍cheers
Thanks for the comment. :)
Skirmishers flirting around the battlefield!?
Yes, they do flirt somewhat. :)
