I don't know why this dude is so underrated.
Me either, but I do NOT want a studio to suck the soul out of his music.
The people that know, know...... not underrated.
He’s not underrated. He’s highly rated!
Sometimes it starts like that, with someone like Ariel Posen, Marcus King, Joey Landreth & Derek Trucks known either just among musicians who play their instrument. Especially if they are mainly known for their guitar playing. But if they sing and write songs very well, that can change very quickly, just takes the right song (& video). Zach Powers and Grace Bowers is another rising star. Unfortunately, even though with age, instrumentalists do often take age to get really good - too much of the music industry is also very ageist and concerned with appearance too. It will push artists toward the mainstream that have a look/age they can market to their target demographic.. Which is why talented rising young artists with a marketable appearance stand the best shot at success. People working for big label, A&R, marketing etc... will say privately they aren't interested, if the artist is over 30. Sad, but true, in many cases. It's not a new phenomenon either, if you look at the huge grunge bands of the 90s (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden).
Because he’s regular guy writing kick ass tunes in a time where regular guys and kick ass tunes aren’t on the menu.
Guitar tone, bass tone, drums sound... Everything's perfect.
Yep, great mix. Not sure I like the drum samples though.
@@officialWWMGlad to hear it… I had the pleasure to mix this… no drums samples 😮💨😮💨😮💨 his tone is just insane 🫶
I completely agree. I love his tone!
It’s a shame he’s not at the top of the charts, but I’ll take top of the roof.
What a great song. 💚
The growl of that guitar is hitting me in the guts!! I love it.
This is one of those songs that you need full speakers for. Sounds great on my phone but I just know there’s so much more depth when you really crank it up. Great feels
One of the tightest and most talented bands I've seen in a while.
That bass is epic.
And he can sing!!🎉
so the album version rocks, the OG recording rocks too, the live in switzerland rocks as well... and, as expected, this one hits hard too. Love it!
Such a perfect package.... voice, tone and arrangement. That guitar tone, man!
That tone❤❤much love from India what a song..
Bravo all CDNs should be damn proud of you!
O my. That guitar sound. Such a Beast!! Coming to Nanaimo Blues Fest I think. A welcome flavour I hope!!
First time hearing this guy......instant fan! Just terrific.

Amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩
This is so cool!!!
Killer!!
💣
Look, you're great, dude. That original viral vid of you soloing your ass off was amazing. I hope you find a way to place yourself among the greats that are already killing at your sound, i.e. Bahamas. You can write a good bridge. Paul Simon would be proud. What do I know? Little. All the best. Afie has nothing on your slide
ROOFTOP!!! Bravo Ariel!!!😉Love this!
Look at those dual Elliott's?! Sounds great! Is that your new rig or just for the Rooftop Session?
They belonged to Eduardo (the director of the video). He was nice enough to supply us with all the gear for the shoot!
The Beatles and U2 got nothing on Ariel! Greatest rooftop performance right here!
so tasty!!!
Just me or does this have a Queen vibe?
What sort of guitar is that?
THIS is the sound you should have gone with: ua-cam.com/video/BOJR3H4Dw54/v-deo.html
you are one of the best players I've ever heard, but this is a super bland sound. the guitar sound you've got dialed in here is overpoweringly awesome and I was hoping that at least the solo would take off, but even that was restrained and generic. still, best of luck, love to hear you play.
An attempt answer why there is controversy around AP's music : Because his ability to write and produce songs are not on the same level as his guitar playing. He would honestly be much more highly regarded if he just played guitar for a singer songwriter who could produce better songs. Some of his songs don't sound as good as they could and I think its because he is more of a purist when it comes to guitar music so He tries hard not to over produce a song but goes to the extreme and under produces it which makes for very dull sounding music, unless you can perform them relly really well vocally and unfortunately his singing and voice aren't on that level.
Couldn’t disagree with you more. Most virtuoso guitar players can’t get near his vocal and songwriting abilities which in my opinion, puts him in even higher esteem. But hey, opinions are like a holes, we all have one.
I don't like the guitar tone... bass is amazing...
You are crazy
