I live in Houston and my favorite month to visit Vegas is August. That hot crispy Vegas air.... My sinuses clear up instantly and I feel so light and energized 😊
There's certainly something to be said for this. I lived in Houston for 25 years and now live in the Southwest US myself. I'll take 120-degree summers for 6-8 months of consistently nice weather and no freaking humidity. 🤣

Great advice on tips.... as somebody born & raised in LV, it really confused me when I moved away and my friends were so cheap about tipping...sometimes even not tipping. I just grew up with the mindset to tip nearly everything.
The funny thing is, now that even pick up orders are expected to be tipped at restaurants, it seems its grown out of control LOL....I would've thrown down a few dollars anyway, but now I feel like I have to do the standard 20%...maybe I've outgrown my Vegas upbringing, but it just seems kinda crazy everywhere now!
Pick up order tips are still not consistent from my observation. At the restaurant I work at, customers rarely tip on To-Go orders. Many dine-in restaurants I pick up food from also seem genuinely surprised or very grateful when I tip them.
i live in Hawaii where tipping is also recommended for services in the resorts.. jobs are categorized as tipping or nontipping , which dictates the hourly pay rate, so pay rates are usually minimum wage for most tipping jobs... so it pains the employee working on minimum and not get tipped for each service done...
Thanks for the good advice. When I went to Vegas I locked my wallet in the hotel safe, and I did not gamble much. I just enjoy walking around with a cold beer and no scrutiny. I had a blast meeting people in the smoking lounge. It was awesome!

that last tip about NOT using the Blvd for "getting around" in Vegas is probably the best tip for tourists ive ever heard. im born & raised here in Vegas and I avoid that part of the strip like the plague.

I don't really go there anymore. However, the few times I did go I actually liked the longer lights and stuff. It gave me time to get a nice view of the strip. That said, I would only go down it once each trip. After that it was always the back streets to speed up travel like he said.
Learn routes through the casinos. If you want to take a break from the sun, sometimes you can cut through multiple large properties without going outside. Also sometimes the foot traffic inside of casinos is less dense than the sidewalks.
Also I never drive from one place to another on the strip. There are a couple of free monorails on the MGM side and the main pay for monorail, which you can get a multi-day pass for. Not useful for all points, but it is good if you want to go from like MGM to Resorts World (just walk from the SLS/Sahara).
Edit: Wear comfortable shoes and Gold Bond is your friend.
Great advice. I’m an amputee (right leg)and before I went to Vegas I noticed there were no videos of people who explored Vegas with a physical handicap. With research I did rent a mobility scooter from a great company(Get Around Mobility). There were still things I had to kind of figure out as I went along there. Although Vegas is pretty much handicap assessable. I still ran into some problems. One thing I learned is, don’t try to take the Deuce bus with a mobility scooter, just call a taxi that is equipped to carry them. I’m interested if you know anyone with a physical disability that you can collaborate with to do a video on tips on visiting Vegas with a physical handicap.
Very good point...... we baby boomers are at the age that many of us including my wife and myself are mobile around the home but becomes an issue for longer walks. Our last visit we took our mobility scooters and found the strip user friendly for us but, it did take a lot of effort finding elevators, and some hotel handicap entrance. Finding useful information is difficult, and a challenge for first time users.

Good video. I would suggest to tell people to make sure they bring walking shoes. You can walk a quarter to a half a mile just to get from their room to breakfast.
Tipping is OPTIONAL. That being said, I always tip. Accordingly!!!!!
Bring cash small bills for tipping, directly to the service workers and not to the general tip funds.
And that is why Uber was able to utterly table-flip the cabbies. Local cabbies all deserved it. Scamming visitors by taking the scenic route, messing with the meter, browbeating with terrible service. Good riddance.
The part about winter in Vegas was hilarious, I’m from Canada and visited in January. The locals were laughing at us saying only Canadians were crazy enough to run around in the cold. The temperature averaged about 7 - 9 degrees C at night

The residents of Vegas can’t handle cold. I feel sorry for them if they have to relocate to the upper Midwest for a sick relative as they won’t be able to handle different types of weather especially the cold.

We visit Vegas often and appreciate the videos. Your comments about winter made me giggle. We live in Montana right next to Glacier Park. We have visited in the summer when it’s hot, but we usually hit December-February. I get some strange looks walking around Vegas in a t-shirt during those months. Usually wear a hoodie at night because it does get a little chilly.
I've been to Vegas so many times and people usually ask advice. The number one thing I say is "your destination isn't anywhere near as close as it looks to you. Use Uber, Taxis or even rent a car". I can tell when people don't listen because they come back saying they're exhausted because they walked too much lol

There are hundreds of UA-cam videos on LV restaurants and where you can find cheap eats or just great food. My last trip, I wrote down the best suggestions before going and ate most of my meals off the strip at way less than the cost of a strip casino restaurant meal - even after paying Uber/taxi fares.... If you don't have at least one breakfast at Ellis Island, you are missing a bargain..

As a frequent visitor, I understand I am a guest in your city, so I appreciate videos like this that bring attention to the service industry, the people that make Vegas the city that everyone loves to visit. I could see how people who do not regularly interact with hospitality staff wouldn't know that gratuity would be expected. Thanks for the great local point of view of Vegas!

“Not planning ahead” I’m having fun with this one right now. My husband is a wing it person I’m the complete opposite. I been planning since October for our trip in may and he actively told me not to overplan so I stopped including him. We are now a month out and now that he’s interested he’s been noticing how much everything is and he’s realizing he prolly hasn’t set enough aside to have fun the way we want. Luckily I have. Haven’t told him though because I’m having fun watching him regret his decision to not plan ahead
If I have to study that hard and long to have fun, its not worth it. Im not going.

Update. We had the time of our lives. And I got a genuine thank you when I surprised him with dinner at Hell’s Kitchen. I made a point to let him peep the bill before I gave him my most shortly smile and slid it to my side to pay. He realized what I was doing was a “necessary evil”

Lived in Vegas briefly and I concur. September/October is definitely the best time to visit. I daresay the weather in October is PERFECT. Almost always sunny and clear. It's warm, but not oppressively hot. You can still wear shorts and a t-shirt by day, but at night you might want to put on a sweatshirt to walk the strip. But if you want to dress to the nines for a night out (fellas I'm looking at you in your suits), you will feel quite comfortable strutting down the Blvd or Fremont St!
As a whole, be NICE to the waitresses on the floor, restaurants & the hotel room staff. It doesn't cost anything, say 'Thank You' and they will remember you & return good service.
In addition to avoiding driving on the Strip, it can also be good to learn the back corridors to move from resort to resort without having to walk on the Strip, especially in the summer heat. For example, you can easily walk/tram between Park MGM and the Bellagio without ever setting foot on the Strip.
Walk from MGM to Bellagio without stepping on the strip? That sounds amazing is there a wormhole you can tell me Abt? Truly curious as I did spend a while to drive and park at treasure island for free parking then walk to bellagio

A lot of times when I pay my bill by credit card, I’ll tip the waitress in cash on the side. One time in one establishment a waitress told us how the business hardly gives them but a small portion of the actual tips on the credit card, so I started tipping them by cash on the side while paying the remainder of my bill with the credit card. Every waitress I’ve tipped this way has been way happier for me to tip them directly since they solely earned it versus the business owner or establishment taking away a cut of the tips and the waitress end up receiving less than what you put on the credit card…
It’s true. And what they do get is taxed. My dad taught me this years ago. Pay the bill with your card, tip with cash.
I travel to Vegas for business one week per month. Been doing so for over 6 years. I don't do shows or eat on the strip unless its with my factory people, and that is where they want to go. I actually spend afternoons or evenings up in Red Rock. I also use Koval and Paradise to get around. I find your Vlog informative and entertaining. It's great seeing you and Norma together. You mix well together. I recently watched her "New Apartment" Vlog, you were pretty funny. You added a lot to her Vlog.

Red Rock is great. Except if you want to go into the Canyon. You now need reservations. The Casio is is good and Sun Coast Casino is also a good place.
Thank you for all the information. I've been binge watching your channel lol. I leave in 2 weeks for Vegas. My 3rd time visiting and I feel like a rookie! I appreciate your honesty, I didn't know about a lot of the scams.
I went to Vegas for NYE in 2013. Two of Jacobs tips from this video would have done me wonders to enhance my experience. IDK if they do this every year, but for New Years, if you're not staying in one of the big resorts, then you can't get access to any of them. Those guests are given wrist bands for access to their resort and other affiliated resorts. I decided to stay at a cheap hotel and because there is up to 1 million people on the strip for NYE, the resorts have to limit the access due to overcrowding. It was also 12 degrees and I was not prepared lmfao. So not only was I limited to just walking the strip, I was freezing my ass off!
On point as always Jacob, much appreciated!🍻 I quit driving my '50 Coupe at night on the strip before 11pm cuz those traffic lights are no lie...aaand all of those the "close calls" from distracted drivers staring at the building screens and ights doesn't help either.😉

October has never failed us for weather. It's warm enough to wear shorts in the day but when the sun goes down, you will want a sweatshirt and pants for sure.
You got it on the driving tips. We always rent and know and use your routes and we get to see so much more of the area, from Red Rock Canyon, not for getting the Red Rock Casino and Summerlin area to the drive up to Mt. Charleston.
I hear you about the weather - I was there for two weeks in August. It was overcast some days, but also very humid. I'm from the West Coast and used to it, but prefer the dry heat. Never mind the FB groups, your videos are so informative and entertaining.

Only been there twice and for a dance workshop both times. I don’t really intend to go back but your videos are so good I just fine them interesting. I can tell your genuine cause if you didn’t talk about the tunnels I would think your just promoting, but your really showing both sides of the coin and giving great safety tips that in general are also helpful.

You don't get extra favours the whole tip based economy is a rip off . Get the properties to pay correct wages . Tipping is great for good service but not for people to expect just for barely doing there jobs

Good advice. I've been to Vegas several times. It got to where I was tired of getting robbed by resort fees. Now I stay at hotels just off the strip, but you have to be good at telling the hotel concierge service that you do not want to attend a time share presentation.
You can get a Strip view from the Palms Condominiums with no resort fees through Airbnb
Really? With the exception of our very first visit have I paid over $100 a night at the Venetian (that includes the $45 resort fee). Last year we stopped in Vegas for 1 night while moving out to Oregon and the timing put us into Vegas on a Friday night with 2 cars, a trailer, 2 digs and a cat so it was decided we would stay in an off strip hotel and I would drive myself and mom over to the Venetian for a decent priced meal at the Grand Lux. By time we drove to and from the Resort, the 20 minutes of walking for free parking, we spent almost $275 for a sub-par room by comparison.
When we moved to Vegas 2 months ago we arrived 4 days before we could move in and only by a fluke in the rewards points was I able to secure us a free room in the Spring Hill Suites right across from the West Gate, otherwise it was just as costly to pay for the room as the Venetian would have charged us. We use valet parking, luggage brought up to our rooms for free and free gambling money as well as free entries into slots tourneys all the time. They have written off whole days service charges for mom's mobility scooters. I watch as people mill about toting their luggage everywhere and just look like they are dead from walking, walking, walking to save $5 here and there. It is NOT worth it...
We always get a short term stay 2 br fully furnished apt. U have a full kitchen, no resort and parking fees. Your car is near your room. You save alot of $$ and time by staying @ these short term rentals.

My first time in Vegas this past May, my friend and I had blisters on our feet from the first night just running around the Venetian and Palazzo where we were staying! I am clamoring to come back and will definitely not be running around like that again. My best friend genuinely could not walk by our third day. Total rookie mistake!! LV either needs to make a monorail/light rail or bus only lane in middle of the strip from the airport all the way to Fremont.
I've done all those during my first few trips and you are spot on! Even though I'm only 3-4 hours away, and have been well over 30-40 times, I still plan my trips with enough flexibility for last-minute inspirational fun. The one tip I would add is how long the strip really is when you try to walk from one end to the other. We were staying at the Mirage and had tickets for a show at the Mandalay Bay and decided to walk. BIG mistake! It looks deceptively shorter than it really is. Also, in the post covid world, I make more reservations now for dining than I ever have, even breakfast. While I'm not a fan of being locked into set times to eat, it sure beats waiting well over an hour for a table, or worse, finding out that place you were so looking forward to is full.
Jeff my wife and I stayed at the Mirage as well and it is definitely a long walk to either end of the strip. Going around properties up and down stairs through shopping districts/malls far from a straight line. I made the mistake of taking a pair of walking shoes with hard inserts instead of a comfortable walking/running shoe that I normally wear. We were at the very end of the hotel floor as well so all the way down the hall through the lobby etc etc. You do a ton of walking and standing on your feet. We kind of figure as well that if you want a really nice restaurant that you need to book ahead for reservations.
@@bartsullivan4866 Comfy shoes is another great first time tip! If you plan on going club-hopping, those dress shoes, or worse, heals, could do you in.
From LA? Lucky you can go to Vegas so frequently. For those of us on the East Coast, Vegas is as far and as expensive as South America or Europe

I lived in Las Vegas for several years. Everything in this video is true and vital.
Other tips: Things are farther away from you than you think. (Due to the large size of the hotels.) Drink lots of water. Don't try to make your gambling money back at the buffet. Know that there are drug stores right on the Strip with much better prices than in the hotel stores. If you can, get away from the Strip and see the rest of what Las Vegas has to offer. Consider staying downtown instead of the Strip. (The Golden Nugget was always my favorite.) For inexpensive entertainment, see which hotels offer comedy shows. Rest. Don't accept anything anyone wants to hand you on the Strip. The characters dressed up who want you to take your picture with them, ask up front what it costs. If nothing, then please tip them. But it's gonna cost you $20 or so either way. Prostitution is illegal in Las Vegas, so knock it off. Finally, use your head. Leave with empty pockets (but not an empty bank account). Leave with a hangover. Leave with a sunburn. But DON'T leave with an arrest record and an order to appear. Las Vegas is a lot of fun, but it isn't a free-for-all for perverts and miscreants.
Oh, and have a steak at the Golden Steer. Have breakfast at the Omelet House. And, if nothing else, have a drink at the Peppermill. You'll be glad you did!

This was a very good video with some good tips for tourists to keep in mind. The TIPS section of the video was an eye opener, as I didn't realize how important tipping was and meant for the staff working in Las Vegas. As for getting around the strip, we used the Mono Rail when too tired to walk. The transit is your best bet for going to Fremont Street. We always look forward to your videos because you always have great ideas and tips to pass on to anyone visiting to Las Vegas.

The most expensive room in Vegas is a free room. The most expensive cocktail is a free drink. Tip pooling ruined good service. Craps crews split the tips per shift. We tip heavy at the table, they remember us and great service, fun time as a result.

Just got back from 5 days in the Luxor. Good times! I usually refuse to stand in line for anything, but I stood in line for an hour for the Friday seafood buffet at South Point. Totally worth it! Biggest, fattest crab legs I ever had! And desserts to die for.

@@promise2153 South Point has a great buffet every day, but if you're into seafood, get in line early, like 3 PM, on a Friday. That's the day for seafood, but every other day is great too. Totally worth the trip.
Again, another good video that reinforces my perception that Vegas is a city that’s all built around and totally focused on separating people from their money 24/7. The properties, the hospitality workers, the shady people, and the criminals. It’s like a 24/7 suction hose attached to your wallet, cards, and bank account.
Name one business that is not totally focused on obtaining money from customers.

Loved the video. I am visiting Vegas in a few weeks. I have been there several times and have family that lives in Vegas. Definitely great tips. I always try to tell people to bring the amount of money you are willing to lose. If you come out a winner, great, but if not, it happens and at least you know you didn't spend your mortgage payment on gambling.

If you feel like fielding an odd question: If you want to go to a place that requires reservations for two (Like The Laundry Room), but you're vacationing by yourself, how would you find a second without getting robbed, paying hundreds of bucks for someone your wife can't see pictures of, etc.? Assume you don't know anyone in Las Vegas. :)

The weather always gets me laughing in February, I usually get a trip in when I'm tired of the Minnesota winter. Waltzing around in shorts sandles and a light jacket and seeing other people in thick parkas gloves and hats gives me a smile...but that wind is no joke sometimes.
Always have a plan, but also try not to be too rigid about sticking to it. You will find something you're not expecting, and feel free to let your plan go off the rails a bit.
You're in Vegas to frivolously drop your cash in casinos on gambling, food and entertainment. If I can waste money on that, I can be generous with the tipping even if I'm way down. Plus nothing beats the feeling of going to a favorite drinking spot and having the bartender remember you.

IRS "tip compliance" is 7%. So on your 12.50 taxi ride, that's an additional $0.88. Not 20%. You fell for the oldest scam waiters/drivers/bartenders pull. If you don't give me 20%, I have to pay taxes on that 20% you didn't give to me.
still should pay the tip regardless, that's the main source of income for most families. They make Minimum wage and their bonus is the tip.

I feel bad for the waitress in your scenario; however, for her to cry and have to consoled because she missed out on one tip for maybe 2 or 3 drink drop-offs is ridiculous.
I sure hoped the entertainer tipped that waitress.
I kind of felt the same you have to keep going unless she was really showering this guy with a lot of attention and it was a slow night. But at that type of club the waitress's probably don't get tipped as much as the bartender or the girls working the stage. All kind of competing for the same piece of the pie.
Except she probably had to tip out the bartender and she was taxed on that tab while making nothing. Yeah she’ll get it back when she files but that doesn’t help her if she needs the money now
i dont feel bad for the waitress at all. because she gets paid to do what she does. i would understand it if she didnt get paid and she worked only for tips. but no, she does get paid. many people in the world get paid an hourly rate or a salary and they are find, they dont cry about it.

I was a tax preparer for 5 years. While in principle Jacob is correct. The IRS will accept written proof of tips received.
Crazy how they keep getting away with theft. The IRS seems to embrace the idea of guilty until proven innocent. Sad.
Hypothetically, if I reported my tips and donated most of it to a 501c3 (that I control), what would the IRS do?

Appreciate the midwest shout out when talking about the weather getting cold hahaha. Last trip in December saw one day get down into the high 40s, coming from Chicago where it was 20 something degrees the day I left, it still felt great out!
I've never understood why people treat dealers or wait staff poorly for things that aren't really their fault. My favorite is when I'm the tables and people are yelling at dealers just being jerks because the game isn't going their way. As if the dealers control what cards come up from an auto-shuffler.
Roulette is a different matter, becos dealers can be A holes if they choose to spin the wheel too fast, they know this will frustrate regular roulette player.
20% tip , that's way too much unless service was supreme!

@@Andy-bh8hwIf you don't know than you should do some research into the history of tipping and it's real purpose. I was a service worker for many years and always did right by my customers. So when someone does right by me I tip them. Not tipping is for uninformed and cheep people.
@@bjs00100120% is too much unless the service is exceptional. Tipping is not mandatory. It is based on going above and beyond. If you do the bare minimum, expecting a tip is ludicrous.

I lived in Vegas for more then 10 years,Vegas is the Only place I've seen Wait Staff run away from customers who walk up to the counter to order.
The problem has been lately that tips should automatically be paid no matter the service. I only tip based off the service I get period. I don't do taxis that's a huge mistake. And Uber and lyft are not much better.

As someone who has been a regular Vegas visitor since a family vacation in 1964, I think your suggestions are spot on. Especially the one about not taking out your losses on local employees. That's not only bad form, it's bad karma -- likely to perpetuate your losses, not stop them. And speaking of karma, good for you for helping your friend, Norma, with her move.

There's no such thing as karma. You can be an asshole and still be a billionaire. No amount of tipping is going to improve your odds of winning in a place built on losers.
Vegas has been changing for the worse. I guess that's true for most places that grow exponentially year in and year out. The days of Vegas having great food prices and deals on rooms have disappeared some in the last several years. The onslaught of resort fees and parking fees have turned Vegas into a more expensive vacation even if you don't gamble. I miss the old slot machines that were not like video games but actual slots that people enjoyed playing. Now they expect you to play $3-$10 a pull to go max coins in most of the machines not even in the High Roller areas. To me that sucks. The fun is leaving Vegas faster than Lake Mead is drying up. We will see what the future brings.
Don't stay in a hotel. Rent a short term apartment. You will have a full kitchen, no resort or parking fees.
Our first trip to Vegas we stayed on the strip and that was our last time staying in a hotel.
Many rent out their Time Shares.

I was disappointed last time I went to a casino and discovered they no longer had actual coin machines. Instead it was all done electronic. Took the fun out of it for me. I used to stop by Vegas every time I went on a road trip that even came close to Nevada. I would spend $40 in bills on the tables and then go through all the coins I collected in my coin jar at home since the last time I went to Vegas. Which often was at least another $60 to $100.
Anyway, last time I showed up with this bag of coins and felt like an idiot when I had to take it to the cash cage to have them run it through a counter. Then when I played it just wasn't the same so after 5 minutes I just cashed out and left. Not gotten around to going back since.
February is really windy, and at night cold! Bring layers!! I love these kinds of tips videos or really any kind of info or review of things in Vegas not to mention the general updates! There is a few really good videos for the Vegas tips & tricks, reopening info month by month, room, pool, gambling, food reviews, great deals for food, hidden places to go explore, find, free stuff, etc but a few of my favorites are Jacobs life in Vegas duh lol, Ruby travels, norma geli(I think I spelled that right), tangerine travels, and Jay cation. Jacobs done a few videos with some of the people I listed but really they each contribute information that really helps when you're in Vegas!
I was there with my Hubby two weeks ago. We had a ball. We tipped everybody. We did not take photos with the characters on the strip. We went to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon with a small tour bus of 13 people. My fourth time there and Hubby's second. We only gambled about 45 between the both of us.. that was our gift to the casinos. We have casinos where we live so that is no longer the pull for us... it was all the attractions. Thank you for all the tips on your previous videos that we watched before we headed your way this time. We went everywhere except the Fremont. I usually just take the Deuce bus over there. We used Uber from the airport and to our main hotel and to the second resort. They all used the back roads and not the main strip. Successful stay !!
On holiday from the UK in 1980, my father walked through the casino at Circus Circus and noticed loose change left in all the slot machines and starred scooping all the coins into his pockets thinking it was free money. We then watched him being thrown out of casino by two large security guards. It's a miracle he wasn't buried in the desert.
Why was there money left in the slots??? I would've done the same today.

It’s tips for the waitresses. They bring you free drinks when you play the slots. You typically leave a tip.

It actually amazes me the amount of time people will stand in line at like buffets and such. So much other/better stuff to do where you do not have to wait at all.
Yeah, but you spend all of that time pushing and shoving your way up and down the Strip or wauting for your Uber to arrive and get you there. On the dozen or so trips we made before moving gere we never waited more than 45 minutes anywhere...
Or just visit Vegas during the weekday. Less busy.
Doing research and having a plan is definitely great advice. I remember our very first time, we stayed at Lux, and had no idea where anything was or what we were doing. We decided to head out to the strip to walk around. We ended up on the street behind Lux and walked toward Mandalay and eventually ended up in front. I told my wife, "Well I guess this is the strip, but there's not much out here like people told you there was" LOL
We eventually figured it out, but that was definitely a laughing moment for both of us, looking back on it.

JacobslifeinVegas I love waitresses! I’ll tip them extra, if one of them feels interesting hearing that I’m one of the greatest hottest big tippers. If it’s servers a dollar. This is just like Henderson Nevada where slot machines 🎰 are the norm. I didn’t know about the roads except for interstate 15. Travelings risky and taking the bus cost more money.
Also good there and something I'm sure TV and movie characters fail to do as well among others in this video says since that makes for interesting TV and movies.

The one time I went to Vegas (want to go again), I did a variation of wing it. We knew we wanted to see certain things and looked for deals on shows.
The other side of wing it becomes micromanage the trip. I have seen people with every minute booked in a binder with: Breakfast 7 -8 am, 8:15 -8:30 have fun, etc.
Remember you are there to relax, take in the sights, gamble, and most of all do what you find fun.
my first (of age) time in Vegas 2020 I stayed at MGM Grand west king room valentines week by myself. At some point in the week near the end of my trip my room wasn't serviced in any manner what so ever. I went to the front desk and more so complained the lack of fresh towels after a day sightseeing and whatnot. I didn't berate the front desk staff, I calmly explained the situation and the distress that I just wanted to shower before seeing piff the magic dragon that night. They had someone restock my room's towels and also took off two days of resort fees. Pays to be nice and calm to people who truly had nothing to do with the bad experiences.

Went to Vegas on a whim in my early 20's coming from So Cal. It was winter, I didn't pack, we just went. I walked a mile on the strip thinking how cold I was in my t-shirt. I woke up a few hours later to 2 inches of snow on the ground.

I’m just trying to focus on the fact that a lot of people don’t believe that a tip is necessary to give because they feel like it’s just part of the servers job and they should just do it. It’s the worst when they make their server run all over the place for them, just to stiff them in the end. My servers pay out a certain percentage of their sales to tip out the hosts and bartenders so when they get a zero tip, they basically paid out of pocket for that guest to sit at their table.
@@johnscannell4189 never a guarantee. I drove for Lyft for 3 years and maintained a 4.9 rating throughout, I would get tipped on less than 10% of my fares. People can be cheap af.
Great tips in this video. I didn’t know about the IRS taxing on estimated tip income, especially for taxi drivers. Also doing research and making plans makes for a more enjoyable trip. I don’t need Facebook that’s what you and your UA-cam buddies are for!🥰🤩

Something I learned many years ago since I go several times a year because I have family there, always before leaving for Vegas, take $100.00 (ALL IN 5's). Give every service person, taxi driver, Valet person before you leave them or they leave you a $5 bill or more. You'll be surprised how they will remember you and they will go out of their way for you making your stay exceptional.

About tipping So glad you brought this up, I was at Mirage Lobby Bar and this one loudmouth that ordered a round of drinks for his entourage, at nearly 200 dollars then proceeded brag to the bartender that he was a high roller, while giving him a 1 dollar tip 😀 the bartender actually stopped by me to show me the 1 dollar and rolled his eyes gesturing to the high roller cheapskate then when the guy and his friends left came back to give the bartender his bottle of water and said here you can keep this the bartender said ooooh thaaaaank yooou 😆
