I’ve always been a huge fan of Las Vegas, but comparatively, I’m not a big gambler. Visually and style they both have their own advantages, but I’ve always been a giant fan of Caesars entertainment in general.
I’ve been in Vegas for 2 days now. 1st session played 6 hours at Caesar’s Palace and lost $3200. 2nd session played 1 hours at Bellagio and won $2,400. Got back to Caesar’s and played 30 mins and lost $1,000. Progressive betting starting from .75 cents to $10 on Buffalo BONUS meter game. And when I finally hit the bonus at $10 bet, it paid 20X only. MGM is winning for me.
I’m MGM all the way! I do have their credit card😬 but it keeps me at Pearl . And I just booked a room with no resort fees plus 100 in FP and 150 resort credit. 😊btw I only have like 2500 in points lol I feel like I won already lol
Great job! I called mgm to ask about using the card and employee didn't even know they print the credit card for you. I tried to tell them, but Linda wasnt listening, just gave up and trusted you ❤ 😂
Great video and research! My gf and I were in Vegas earlier this year, and we stayed at Luxor, and had bad customer service at check in, and the quality of Luxor was bad. Our flight was canceled, while we were sitting in front of Caesars, and needed to stay another night, and they were really great. Luxor was advertising King bedrooms available on their website the night we arrived, we had booked in advance a King bedroom, and when arriving they told us they didn't have any, and that they can change the booked room whenever and however they wanted. They eventually "found" one for us. We won't stay at Luxor again, based on your reviews, maybe Monterrey or Bellagio, or we'll go with Caesars again. We don't plan to go back for awhile though, have other places we want to go to first.
I'm very nostalgic for the MGM properties in the south because we stayed at the Excalibur almost every year as a teenager and I always enjoyed walking through those properties and going to the arcades in MGM, Excalibur, and NY NY. We also go to Biloxi a lot and their property there, The Beau Rivage, is such a nice hotel compared to the Ceasar's property there, Harrah's. We just got back from staying at Paris and my experience there and the other Ceasar properties were much more enjoyable compared to the MGM ones. My favorite places to gamble on the strip are also Paris and Horseshoe. Either way I think they're both pretty good for Vegas but I'll slightly prefer MGM because of Biloxi and the Beau Rivage
That opening…you so silly…and you are popping up in the vids of all the other Vegas peeps I watch…I love it. I want a seat at the table but I’m still trying to figure out how to retire in Vegas as soon as possible lol.
100% agreed on the MGM-affiliated free gaming apps! My wife had- over a couple of years of playing- earned enough loyalty coins to cash in on an offer for a free cruise aboard the Norwegian Encore (interior cabin). So not only did we cash in some of the loyalty coins on offers while in Vegas last Christmas, but we also scored a free, 7 night Eastern Caribbean cruise for later this year. Disclosure: We did purchase an upgrade to an aft balcony, paying only the difference between the free interior cabin and said balcony.
I think either MGM or Caesars would be wise to hire you as their exclusive social media content creator at a high 6 figure salary at least. Such is the value you would represent to them with your practical knowledge and info. Nonetheless, I also wouldn't be surprised if neither company has the foresight to see the value of having you work for them. Very good job overall on your work and clever content to keep your channel fresh!
Thank you for all the information. I have made a decision to travel there probably in the early Fall. I was able to get the MGM card. I also signed up for your email newsletter.
@JacobslifeinVegas Hear me out, I'm looking through the lens of the military discount. I do feel like I get good deals at both, but I feel I get more value through Caesers properties. Outside of that, I feel the Caesers properties are a little better maintained than MGM, comparing the mid/value hotels. Also, Caesers customer service is so good. I had a situation when visiting a couple years ago, and we were staying at PH. I had gotten in a fender bender right on Las Vegas Blvd. as we were literally just getting there, and some jackass tore my front bumper off. PH has literal angels working there. They took my bumper and held it for me until I figured out what to do with it. They were such a huge help, and just went above and beyond. Lots of really good people working at the Caesers properties. Love them.
On our last trip to Vegas two weeks ago, I took my Cosmopolitan gold rewards card to Planet Hollywood across the street to tier match to Caesars diamond. They were able to pull up an account that I created almost 20 years ago and said I was not eligible for a tier match since I was a current member. It felt like the clerk was excited to deny the match.
Source for the changes to Wyndham earners business card? The website still says automatic diamond. EDIT: as far as I can tell, 40 nights is the requirement for Wyndham Diamond normally, and does not affect the Business Earner card.
Yeah. I want to see the backup on this. I got diamond just 2 months ago by getting the WBE cc. Not saying they couldn’t have changed it in the last two months, and Jacob is the man when it comes to Vegas stuff, but I haven’t seen the 40 night requirement for the WBE cc until this vid.
Caesars has lost all of its luster. When the namesake property has gone to shit as it has since the Eldorado buyout - pass. 1)Wynn, 2) Stations, 3) MGM. Great video Jacob. Appreciate all the research, hard work and info. You're one of my favorite LV youtubers hands down.
I have never stayed at Caesars and have no desire to, but I work with people that were hardcore Caesar fans, but around 2018 and 2019 they were rethinking it because they felt it was going downhill and was not the Caesars they loved.
Think you said that 40 Wyndham nights are required before being allowed to match the WEB card to Caesar’s Diamond. If so where do I find that in writing?
he made a correction in a comment, you don't need the 40 Wyndham nights. 40 nights is only if you are trying to get Diamond status at Wyndham without the credit card.
Platinum/Caesers at MGM/7Stars. I prefer the comps at MGM....the rooms at Bellagio. MY wife prefers PH, but thats only because she loves to walk around the miracle mile.
I have no idea who told him you need to stay 40 nights. If you did stay 40 nights at Wyndham you would have Wyndham Diamond status and no need for the Wyndham credit card in order to earn Wyndham Diamond.
I think I’ve been to Vegas 9 times? Never stayed at a Cesar’s property. MGM always seemed the better deals and stuff inside. I’ve never even been tempted to stay at actual Cesar’s, it’s honestly too big. We don’t even go inside cause it’s sorta back and away and hasn’t had any draw. Venetian tho would be where we stay.
I will always go with Caesars when on the strip. I have been able to do 5-6 night stays on the strip for $250-550max because they will comp my room or their sales (keep in mind I'm a Gold member which is the lowest). I tend to find a lot of good value restaurants if I want to eat within or near their properties (ie. like some of the places inside the promenade), and generally have great service there. On the entertainment side of things, MGM just has more options - whether it's the Garden, House of Blues inside of Mandalay Bay, Luxor with its' shows and attractions, NYNY with the coaster+arcade, Venetian with the shopping, Cosmo with it's entertainment, etc. Food options and comps are good with something like MyVegas, but otherwise not worth it. To quote the former mayor of Las Vegas and lawyer for the Mob, "MGM are the biggest crooks in the Vegas Area."
Without question MGM...and to tell ya the truth it's not even close. Caesars may dominate smaller markets but in Vegas MGM basically owns it...Mandalay Bay, Aria, Bellagio, the Cosmo, etc etc not even remotely close.
Hi Jacob, Just joined your email list. Some good stuff in it ! I will be in LV next week. If I can meet you I would like to tell you about the negative side of tier matching.
My wife and I usually go to Vegas twice a year. We choose to stay and gamble exclusively at Caesar's properties because their tier and reward point calculation system is transparent and very easy to understand. MGM intentionally making it impossible to determine how they calculate their points is a deal breaker for us. We will visit the Bellagio Conservatory and see some of their other sights, but we very rarely gamble or partake of any of the restaurants or shows.
MGM you and your wife can combine your tier credits to step up in tiers. You guys can be linked while in Caesars you can’t, you guys are separated there.
@@California_Poker We use one card when we play at Caesars. We've been openly doing it for a couple years and they don't seem to care. During tier bonus events, we earn as much as they allow (typically 25k points) on the first card and then start playing on the second to keep it at the same level. If Seven Stars was remotely attainable we'd aim for that, but we aren't interested in making that type of commitment. We're moderately large players, but we aren't at full degen level...yet.
This would change it for me. I rely on the Founders card (both me and my wife) for Caesars Diamond status for the last 10 years. If that is going away, I will need to relearn how I do Vegas!
MGM is far better in comps than Caesars even though they both have tighten up in the last few years. Also, on slot finders like you said about Caesars I went to MGM Grand high limit area you can ask at the desk if they have the slot machine you are looking for.
I think I had two of their credit cards confused. It looks like the Business Earner Card match to Caesars Diamond still works. Either way, I appreciate the tip!

MGM. Caesers check in process alone makes this an easy choice. Also Vdara is smoke free as well.
Caesars check in is a joke. Stayed at Paris once and it took me almost an hour. Waiting, standing in line. This was in 2022! What’s the point of having our iPhones ?!
Not only an informative video but also entertaining.
Glad to hear it! Thank you!
This is perfect timing for your post. In about 2 weeks I'm coming for my birthday and we are staying at an MGM property instead of Caesars. Caesars comps us, but I'm using my Marriott elite perks for a free room at the New York. Interested to see how they treat us, we are Diamond and will inquire about loyalty match. Jacob I want to see you during Memorial Day weekend!
Jacob great 'Fight Night" creativity in your intro to this video !!! Thanx for all your research & info !! All your videos are always full of great information, and interesting facts & tips !!!!!! THANK YOU
I used to love Caesar's Hotels. One stay at an MGM and I never turned back.
Great video i liked how u did the boxing intro 🔥🔥🔥
I know this was a TON of research. Good job, Jacob!
I much prefer all the mgm properties, but I’m yet to have any luck at there casinos
Thanks for keeping us up with great information!
That opening…you so silly…and you are popping up in the vids of all the other Vegas peeps I watch…I love it. I want a seat at the table but I’m still trying to figure out how to retire in Vegas as soon as possible lol.
very informative my man....Thanks
Glad to help
Great episode props to you for the research you put in! I still like park mgm!
A true masterclass of a video! Great content jacob!!
... ready to rummmmmble 🥊
👊
We're going to Vegas in June have 4 comp nights at the Bilaggio
Bellagio 😊
🥊🥊 Jacob, thanx 4 all your hard work on this 😊 ( I stay @ the D on Freemont St. now a days ) 🎉
Don’t even have to watch your video MGM is the winner!!! Safer, more class and has better payouts!!! Enough said!!!
You rock Jacob! Thanks for doing the research.
Very good job overall on your work and clever content to keep your channel fresh!
didn't know about the recent Wyndham change. good to know, thanks.
Thank you for all the information. I have made a decision to travel there probably in the early Fall. I was able to get the MGM card. I also signed up for your email newsletter.
You're welcome Eve! Thanks for the sign up!
Love the video! Another thing I think you should consider is how many locations each company has that throughout the world
Ok! Before watching all the way through Caesers for sure. We'll see by the end.
🤔
Love them.
Bought out by a company in Renoooooooo😂🤣
On our last trip to Vegas two weeks ago, I took my Cosmopolitan gold rewards card to Planet Hollywood across the street to tier match to Caesars diamond. They were able to pull up an account that I created almost 20 years ago and said I was not eligible for a tier match since I was a current member. It felt like the clerk was excited to deny the match.
That’s really shady and dirty. I’m sure she could have given it to you. Some people do get a kick out of denying people.
I just got Caesars Diamond last week with a new Wyndham Business Earners card. Not sure where the 40 nights info is coming from.
@@Robosan4000 Same here
Thanks for the heads up. I thought it changed for the Business Earner card, but looks like I had it confused with their standard credit card.
@@JacobslifeinVegas Yeah, you were probably thinking of the standard cards. I enjoy the channel. Keep up the good work! Thanks
Excellent informative content. Thank you!
Jacob, this is great information. You definitely did your homework.
Glad it was helpful!
True man of his people, thanks bro
very good info thanks
De nada!
You have some amazing tips! Thanks!
Well that's depressing. I've just found out I qualify for Senior Discount 😂😂
😂
It beat'sthe alternative Andrew
No, it means you now have additional funds for drinking, eating, and gambling.
Yeah, THATS always a Sobering moment when you realize this for the first time
@@edvaira6891 Gets me half price tickets for San Diego Comic-con - more money for merch, food, and liquor.
Great video thanks
The last time I stayed at Caesar Palace it cost $50 just to use the in room refrigerator, even to put your bottle water in.
The boxing intro was wild 😂
Dana White says Caesar's Palace is the best casino in the world. I'mma have to roll with Dana on this one.
Probably because of its history. Bellagio, Venetian and Wynn are definitely up there
of course they are gonna treat him like a King..try getting the same service as a peasant.
Dana White goes to Red Rock now.
@@dan9222scandiguy red rock seems to be the best for high limit locals. I’ve been a couple times but it’s too far off strip
@@dan9222scandiguy I came here to say the same thing he rocks with Red rock nowadays.
Platinum/Caesers at MGM/7Stars. I prefer the comps at MGM....the rooms at Bellagio. MY wife prefers PH, but thats only because she loves to walk around the miracle mile.
Love this video Jacob, very helpful
come on, its MGM by a mile, even after they lost Mirage
Wyndham Earner Business status match is still good, you don't need to stay 40 nights.
Thank you Jacob for all of the information. Seeing this video they don't seem very welcoming.
The biggest oh my God moment was when that little kid cannon balled into that pool you were in...that HAD to of hurt his knees 😳
MGM Properties are better cared for and are much nicer than anything Caesar’s has. Besides Caesar’s palace .. everything else is blah.
I like MGM properties more than Ceasar properties regarding their offers
Hi Jacob, Just joined your email list. Some good stuff in it ! I will be in LV next week. If I can meet you I would like to tell you about the negative side of tier matching.
My wife and I usually go to Vegas twice a year. We choose to stay and gamble exclusively at Caesar's properties because their
tier and reward point calculation system is transparent and very easy to understand.
MGM intentionally making it impossible to determine how they calculate their points is a deal breaker for us. We will visit the
Bellagio Conservatory and see some of their other sights, but we very rarely gamble or partake of any of the restaurants or shows.
Many say the MOB no longer exists in Vegas. The new MOB is MGM and Caesars and is no longer affordable for many.
Founderscard still has the Caesars Diamond benefit!
Thanks for the heads up on the Wyndham card. I was going 2 get it this week. NOT ANY MORE!
I think I had two of their credit cards confused. It looks like the Business Earner Card match to Caesars Diamond still works. Either way, I appreciate the tip!
@@JacobslifeinVegas THANKS that's the one I want. Will give it a try. According to Jaycation that card now requires 100 points gambling to get the free dinner.
Not sure if it's a common thing but I did get $10 free play when I got my physical ceasers card at Paris.
Hey Jacob, thanks for the great info luv your vlogs. Founders Card is back in bed with Caesars as of April 2024
