- A community in Mwea in Kirinyaga County, Kenya, had a SATO Toilet Pan installed. They were glad to have a toilet with the functionality of a flush toilet, complete with a self-sealing trap door that keeps the toilet shut tight. Keeping away odour, and flies.

Does it bio digest the waste?
Hello, SATO Toilets provides a range of sanitation solutions like the SATO Toilet Pan, the SATO Flex Pan and the SATO Stool. These are installed on the traditional pit latrine to upgrade the latrine to a modern toilet with flush. The SATO Toilet pan requires only 300ml - 1 litre of water to flush. The amount of water needed is 80% lower than what a traditional flush toilet would require. This makes it suitable for regions with water scarcity. Aside from low water requirement, the SATO Toilet pans also make the pit latrine safer, especially for young children. The pan also has other benefits like keeping away flies and bad odour.
