I'm not sure I understand your question. Please be more specific. The source of the video can be nearly anything you want. Run it through an encoder and put it on a USB flash drive. The videos and the music and still images shown in the video above are played back from a USB flash drive. Use a computer to properly format the USB flash drive, as well as encode your files. Good quality audio and video file encoders are available from many sources. Pioneer does not recommend any specific encoder. Playable file formats, and parameter for those formats are shown in the video above. Can you do a video on avh 240ex...how to format an usb drive to play on the indash...mines keep saying load fail Everytime..how I do my mp3 download...I just copy and paste UA-cam URL to an MP3 converter website...I've been doing this for years and it works perfectly fine on an phone or any other device..but when I try to play it from an USB drive to my indash..it keeps saying Load failed..so I don't know if it's the format I have to change or my indash.
Load Fail means there is an issue with the USB flash drive and thein-dash receiver can not read the drive. Not necessarily a problem with any given music file. I recommend to use your computer to format your USB drive as FAT32 or NTFS. Don't use ex-FAT it does not work.
After formatting, try the USB drive in the receiver again. if you still see load fail, try a different USB drive.
The AVH-240EX can playback many different audio file formats from a USB flash drive including MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, and FLAC.

So you can only watch a DVD with the ebrake on? You can't watch it going down the road with the ebrake off, is that correct?
In order to see video on the Pioneer in-dash receiver screen, the vehicle's parking Brake, also known as emergency brake must be engaged.
This requires connecting the in-dash receivers Green Parking Brake wire to the vehicle's parking brake switch as part of a proper installation.

The Pioneer AVH-210EX will work with iPod Touch gen 5. Older than that may or may not work to a point, and will have limited functions. I think you'll be able to play music through USB, but search functions will be limited. You'll use the USB connection on the back of the in-dash receiver. Any video function that's available will need to go through the Audio and Video AUX input to the in-dash receiver. How can I leave my phone connected through bluetooth and also connect my phone to the usb just for charging???? every time i try connect my phone to the usb it'll change from my music playing through bluetooth to the usb screen and ultimately won't work. I just want to be able to connect via USB to charge!
Are you using a Pioneer AVH-210EX in-dash receiver? It sounds like you are using an Android based phone and not an iPhone? AVH-210EX is designed to automatically switch to the USB/iPod source when you plug something in through USB. If using an Android based device, the phone may be attempting to connect to the in-dash receiver through "MTP" or Media Transfer Protocol. It may be possible to set the phone to switch off "MTP" and to set it up as "Charge Only" mode for a USB connection. On some android phones, when you plug in to USB a pull down menu is available to select the type of USB connection. In this pull down menu, it may be possible to switch off MTP and make it Charge only. Then manually switch back to the Bluetooth Audio Source on the receiver. If this doesn't work, one other option is to get an independent phone charger for your vehicle and avoid the USB on the receiver. Is there some kind of guide on what audio specifications the AVH-210EX supports? I'd love to play the highest quality audio possible but FLAC isn't supported and when I tried turning my FLAC files into WAV, I can select them but it shows up as an error and doesn't play the audio file. What is the max bitrate and such that works over a flash drive? Also, will a lossless FLAC file work over Bluetooth?

When you convert your FLAC files to WAV, I recommend to use the PCM, or LPCM format, up to 1.5 Mbps at 44.1 kHz, or 48 kHz sampling rate. @@deckerdotto6035 I've already converted my FLAC files to WAV under those same conditions and they didn't work, it just says unrecognized file.
I recommend to try a different file converter or different settings in the conversion process. I regularly use WAV files ripped from CD's at 44.1 kHz with this product.
I changed the mp4 file to avi, adjusted the resolution and the framerate, the videos still wont play for some reason.

If you have the Pioneer AVH-210EX, you can find the microprocessor reset button at the top of the hard key panel near the eject button. If this does not correct the issue, the receiver may need to be serviced. The USB port on the AVH-210EX should be able to charge your phone without the use of a separate phone charger. I recommend to try a different USB cable. Over the 2 years, it's possible the cable has worn, and some part of the cable, or it's connections, is now causing the receiver to go into a self protection mode. I also recommend to press the microprocessor reset button on the in-dash receiver. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. Please verify the USB flash drives you are using are working correctly with the receiver with some audio only files such as MP3, WAV or other supported audio format. Different video encoder software systems all work a little differently. Results will vary based on the encoder and settings. Pioneer does not recommend any specific software encoder system. I recommend to experiment with some different formats like AVI, MP4, or DIVX. Don't exceed the max resolution or frames per second. Consider slightly lowering the resolution settings on the encoder for better success. There may also be output settings on the encoder that can be adjusted that will result in a playable file. Another option is to try different video encoder software, a different computer for the encoding, or a different USB flash drive. You’ll need to engage the vehicle’s Parking Brake in an ON-OFF-ON operation in order to access the Bluetooth setup menu or to play video from USB or DVD. This might also be known as the Hand Brake or the Emergency Brake. If you engage the vehicle’s Parking Brake and still can’t access the Bluetooth menu, the in-dash receiver’s Green Parking Brake Wire may have an incorrect connection to vehicle. Can you use a 4tyerbyte hardrive in this unit with movies and sound tracks
As mentioned in the video above, ua-cam.com/video/7LU2GxhRGrQ/v-deo.html I don't recommend it. The Pioneer AVH-210EX can read FAT16/32 file systems and without specialized software you can't format large drives as FAT 16/32. Additionally the AVH-210EX has a limit of 15,000 files. I recommend a drive of 16GB or smaller for best performance with this product. If you want to use a larger external drive, I recommend using Pioneer AVH-W4500NEX seen here: ua-cam.com/video/-JidsPPVKnA/v-deo.html The Pioneer AVH-W4500NEX can read the NTFS file system and there is no particular limit to drive size or number of files and folders it can access. Please note: the more files and folders you have on the drive the longer the initial set up will be to access the data. I have a mvh-210ex, when the video files play from my usb drive, the sound lags behind as the video plays, by the end of a 20 minute episode the audio is a few seconds behind. Do you have any suggestions to fix this?
I recommend to experiment with different encoder settings such as the audio codec or the frames per second on a particular file. Dropping from 30 fps to 29 may change your experience significantly. In addition, you may consider a different video encoder for better performance. Pioneer does not recommend any particular brand of USB flash drive. In my experience, many different USB drives will work. Don't buy a cheap one and expect it to last. Formatting is the key. I'm not sure what you mean by "read greek language". The Pioneer AVH-210EX does not read any language. If you are referring to the language displayed on the screen for the different on screen menus, the answer is no. The Pioneer AVH-210EX will display several different languages that are common in North America including English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. Depending upon the language, some characters may not be displayed properly. Videos can't play while driving... at all???
In the US, it is illegal to have a video screen in the view of the driver when the vehicle is in motion. When properly installed, all Pioneer in-dash video receivers require the vehicle Parking Brake to be engaged to see video on the in-dash screen. Please be a little more specific with your question. What's not working? Can you play audio from USB? Are you seeing an error message on screen when you select a video? Or are you seeing a black screen when you play a video and you can hear the audio playing? What is the model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver? If you have the Pioneer AVH-210EX or a similar receiver, I recommend to press the receiver's microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer AVH-210EX at the bottom of the hard key panel.
Please be sure to format your USB drive as FAT32. If the issue occurs on a particular song or video, delete that track or folder and try again.
This could also be an issue with the USB extension cable from the back of the receiver. I recommend to use a different USB extension cable.

are there any file size limitations?
I'm not aware of a file size limitation for video. Video Files larger than 4 GB may stop before completion. Yes, you can use a 123gb USB flash drive on the Pioneer AVH-210EX, however, there is a limitation to the number usable files and folders as shown in the video here: ua-cam.com/video/7LU2GxhRGrQ/v-deo.html
The drive must be formatted as FAT32.
The Pioneer AVH-210EX is an entry level receiver. For best performance, I recommend a 16GB USB drive or smaller for use with this receiver. The more files that are stored on the drive the longer the search process will take.
