How did u make this cammant 2w ago when the vid was posted 7m ago
@@powerballpikachu1716upload and keep it unlisted until I'm ready for it to be public. I can leave comments early as well.
Oh thats cool
Can u do give aways with the axe looking knife 1:48
MC =33
Agenda is Noted.
I bet the false flipper tab is there to keep the blade from slicing your finger off. It looks like when you actuate the liner lock the flipper tab might fall on your finger and prevent it from fully closing.
False flipper tab? It's not false or a flipper tab...
Hence why he called it a false flipper tab you fucking doorknob.@@idontno0
@@idontno0 He's talking about the piece of steel behind the choil that LOOKS like a flipper on traditional folders but isn't usable like a traditional flipper.
And it is there for that exact reason. To not chop off your finger when you disengage it.
Yeah this thing is finger quillotine basicly so i guess thats what its for
very observant
As a Norse mythology enthusiast, the knife's name being "The Jotun" brought a smile to my face. Jotuns, in norse mythology, were the giants, habiting in Jotunheim, the realm of the giants. I mean, it makes sense considering how huge the blade is...
I love the name for the same reason. Very fitting.
Ditto. But I gotta ask, did it also make you cringe when he called it "Johtuhn" with an English J, and then remembered an older song? Or is that just me. I still liked the video, and I don't hold it against him, it just hurt a little.
The smaller ones could be handy when skinning game.
My guess is the flipper tab thing is to stop the blade from chopping off your fingers when disengaging the lock.
Wow that little axe is the first thing I seen I would actually buy from them.
Little “axes” would work well as a round knife for leatherwork. Great for radius-ing corners.
We're now in the _Cybertruck_ stage of knife design. 🤣
That cleaver looks actually useful though!
I ordered the Nori Nano because it looks so awesome and will be my first neck knife.
The handle Reminds me of one of those folding hand saw that are basically a normal folding pocket knife only with a thin flexible saw blade that folds into a slot on the side of the like 15 inch handle.
I came to see the monster and and seen a cool novelty knife in the process. What a shame limited to 200. Already gone! I love extreme overbuilt knives and carry them often being an industrial machine mechanic it helps to have a few beastly blades for certain tasks
Just got it. Yes, an almoat useless knife, but I have an affinity for 5"+ folders. Surprised it wasn't sold out. But I really wanted a Vallhalla 2, long sold out. Probably will go for twice the price on ebay. Oh well... Thanks for the video or I would have missed it!
The blade steel is actually N690 for both of the little ones
I think it would make a good survival "knife" (more like a sword). Because of how wide the spine is on the blade, you could split wood with it pretty easily. You could bang on the spine with a log while splitting another. And it won't get stuck because its so wide.
JOTUN is the realm of the giants in Norse mythology...
Jötunn = giants
Jötunnheim = realm of giants
Love huge pocket carry folders!!
Looks like a folding wood splitting wedge, yeah, I need it.
Jotun, I think is a race of giants however, I have seen it spelled Jotunn which I think was a more creature like giant, a depiction seen in film The Ritual (2017). Not sure if there is any difference between the two spellings, still it's a fun movie.
A couple of black jack knives fixed blades leather sheath use magnets.
Great designs
For a pound of flesh
I love the sheath on the north, it would be a cool way to edc any smal/ medium fixed blade.
Wow. I was like "meh" till I noticed how the grinds meet up from the length & the tip... it looks like two full flat grinds that meet up perfectly and then flare out and I'm all the way here for it... great vid with solid insight.
the question is can the jotun batan wood? the mini axes are for whittleing wood to make fire starting tinder.
The inner tab on the Jotun blade seems to make the sharp part of the blade less likely to close on your fingers, if you have a finger in the spot under the tab.
This first one, would be a definite throat punch defense
Those are some dope blades. Those mini axes are definitely unique, the magnetic feature is really Kool. The Jotun is frickin huuuge, made that PM2 look like a ladybug 😂😂
Send it to Nick Shabazz for him to review....will look awsome in his hands....bye now.
I have an old Tops Bosworth neck knife that has a magnetic sheath.
Nice, another regular size knife for big guys! I love it when reviewer’s show decent size knives instead of all the little 3 1/2 inch blades and under.
right, I stop watching some reviewers because they only feature tiny little baby blades
That tiny liner lock for that behemoth is lame.
Props on them for considering all the sinister lefties. 😉
That little axe is perfect for whittling.
I have the blue axe thingy. It’s really a conversation piece more than anything but really cool.
That would be perfect for cutting gut/organ membrane cutting in field dressing a hunted animal. I wish I had something that small when I went hunting last month. Small size would help avoid hitting the gut.
Really nice beast of a folder. The two little ones are nice as well
Very nice blade😊👍 11:40
The first one would be alright for skinning game. I mean there are better knives out there for that but it would work for that.
That first one would make opening boxes a breeze tbh, but that's about it.
I'd take that blue mini hatchet It would do nicely in y work bag.
“Thats what she said, eehheheheeee…..” lol that got me😂
The nano is a pocket skinner
I'd have lived one of those little axes working in shipping!
little mini axe... box opener at work, and neat ice breaker for making friends with guys like you and edge queens.
What's the utility difference between a cut out sharpening choil, and a lack of one (like many Spydercos)?
Those little axes are cool. Thanks MC
That knife is food for skinning animals. Like really good design for that task
Thanks for sharing, brother
👊
I'd carry any of those daily. But then again I wear carpenter jeans mostly and 5th pocket a korvid xl no problem...👍🤷♂️😅
Hey, did you ever play FF7? Little-known fact: the Joten knife seen here was actually the pocket knife carried by Cloud.
The more you know…
I have always wanted a gigantic folding knife.
god i love midgaurd's messer
Interesting as always, MC! I wonder how that monster compares to the Artisan Proponent in terms of blade strength? (Recall that the Proponent comes with a steel pin that can screw through the scales and blade, effectively turning the folder into a virtual fixed blade. I bet that lockup is way stronger than this liner lock, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!
So innovative! And cute! Want one..
Cigar knife/chopper? Good gift?
It’s super cool but for $329 I might as well get a Medford knife
hey metal. you should do a review of the new knife center exclusive civivi conspirator. s35vn and aluminum scales. also a review on their titanium pocket clip would be sweet to see as well. thanks for the vid.
That little hatchet thing could be used as a knuckle duster in a self defense situation.
'Jotan' is part of Norse mythology
That knife is B O N K E R S !!!!!
The g10 hatchet thing has a bigger blade. The cutting edge is longer.
Edit: longer than its titanium brethren. If not it's an optical illusion to my eyes
The apex of the vortex combine to form the Jotun...
I love MM so much and their ridiculously over sized knives
Midgards Messer make absolutely gorgeous gear I absolutely luv their designs I just wish they made stuff for us poors 🤣🤣
German!? Yes. Overbuild?! Yes. Wild stuff!? Yes.
Love the Midgard Messer knives, too bad you can’t actually get one!
Jotun, Shortened from Jǫtunheimr- The mythical land of the Giants in Nordic Mythos. The relatives to the gods. Its actually a fucking hilarious knife name.
I used to listen to in flames in h.s too! 😂
Ok that first one has my attention
Log onto TFG …is their an English version?
That's a fancy box cutter all the way. Would use instead of a razor
just an fyi, Jotun/Jotunn are troll-like beings in Norse/Germanic mythology
Final Fantasy, Cloud’s ‘Buster Blade’
Has anyone from the US ordered from polish custom knives? I want a Midgard of some sort, but am unsure of the process getting it here to the states.
5th pocket, or maybe key fob.
😊
Joten is Norwegian for Giant.
Jotunnheim Is norse for place of giant's. I think that's what they were going for:)
Finally found my perfect edc
Jotun as in Jotunheim the land of the Ice Giants
$380 for a big cpm d2 knife? nah man thats a scam
Jotenheim! The frozen planet from Thor!!
9.9 on the slap
They've been watching your Maxace videos, and wanted to throw in their entry into the "overbuilt useless eye candy" category.
If also loop some paracord through the top hole and neck knife the little axes.
Thor's pocket knife. Before Disney pussified him.
you sound like the old videos i used to watch from cutlery lover
Big but I prefer my Opinel 13 lol
it's for the pokey pokey
Those tiny/beefy knuck-axes are incredible 😂
They need to make better, stronger, safer locks. Something that big I'd like more than just a liner lock.
Man, if they just made these regular size, I'd be all over them!
Only a pound huh? So half the weight of an entire broad sword lol 🤘
"I'm not sure which task this design will make easier". Punching. It's punching.
Im not sure what specific task this will make easier? Pretending I can use ito for self defense and feeling like a badass while doing so...
Some knives just scream ‘WEAPON’; Bastinelli, Medford, Ka-Bar, and Midgards!
Jotun, is pronounced like Yoertan. A giant.
Cutting leather when crafting
Big Beefy Blade 😎
Can’t wait to get mine in lol😂
Very cool
midgards messer is very quickly becoming a mall ninja special brand.
ITS A LINER LOCK😅😂😅😂… Get the bandages handy 😅😅😂
i think that first knife's only purpose would be opening boxes
