Miss Kay, every country names things different. In the UK, a stove is called a cooker. A stove is a brand name in the UK. Also, a sneaker in the UK is called trainers. It's hard to keep up with the many different names of things. Sweet pepper, bell pepper same difference. But calling sweet potato, yam is too much. We will stick with sweet potato cause yam a yam😊

They have an orange flesh sweet potato that they use to make candied yams. But America has different varieties of sweet potatoes mostly grown in the southern states
