    Exporrting pdf format, takes ages on laptops. Is there any special instructions for exporting?

      This is most likely due to some complex geometry you have in your model that has a lot of line work. For me, I had some solar panels that caused it to take forever. I just hid them in my scene and it exported much faster.

      Hi there! Simplifying the model before exporting is one solution, and instead of one complicated export we like to use in 3-4 layers of exports.

    maybe a stupid question because i'm just starting but how does your 2D exports are instantly editable to the precise line from the go ? when i export mine i can only edit the whole export and not the lin eof my drawing

      Hey there! 💫It is due to how the files are being opened in Illustrator. Instead of dragging and dropping the 2D exports onto the artboard, try right-clicking on them and selecting "Open With" and then choosing Illustrator. If that doesn't work, try using the Expand command to make the drawing fully editable. Let us know if this helps!

    wouldn't the foundations also have lines that go towards the vanishing point since it is in perspective?

    • @toffuco
      @toffuco  3 місяці тому

      Yes of course, you could show the footings in a more 3d way! In this illustration we just left them as 2d projections, it's up to your representation style

    Can you make a tutorial on tracing the floor plan to illustrator if it’s in pdf.Not using autocad but directly to adobe illustrator.

    • @toffuco
      @toffuco  Рік тому

      Hey there! If it is not a scanned image that has been converted to PDF, you should be able to open it with Illustrator. It should be editable since it has to be exported from some architectural software.🤔If the file is pixel-based, we could make a tutorial on how to trace it, of course!

    For the export of line work, is there another way? sketchup takes so long for the pdf file export ! Otherwise, the illustrator can't make the pure line work if the file is exported to png or jpg(those file types will just basically image on the illustrator, but using image trace on illustrator doesn't have same qaulity like what you did.

    • @toffuco
      @toffuco  3 місяці тому

      Hey there! As you mentioned, only the PDF exports are editable. If exporting the entire drawing takes too long, you can export it in smaller parts and then put them together in Illustrator.

      Hey there! If you referring the black and white style, from to Styles menu choose Select and click on the Hidden Line style
