Siriano is a fave because he's not only an amazing designer, but also genuinely kind and pushes the boundaries of who he dresses compared to others who just give don't bother, making every person who wears his clothes have their body complimented.
I actually met Jay in New York in 2011 at the Met's Alexander McQueen exhibit and he was so nice! I kept looking at him because I wasn't sure it was him and either way, I didn't want to bother him, but we eventually ended up close enough in line that he said hi, we talked for a little bit and I even got a picture with him. Neat dude.
Leanne Marshall also had a line of sewing patterns with Simplicity. Ashley Nell Tipton did that as well. I have a coat from Marshall and a bodysuit from Tipton.
I met Jay McCarrol way back in the day, before Project Runway was a thing. I went to Philadelphia College of Textile and Science (that was later changed to Pennsylvania University and is now another name) and during freshman pre-semester orientation he came and presented to us. He ended up sneaking a few of us off campus for a tour around Philly and his personality is exactly like what he shows on TV.
Sometimes i go back to Michelle's first winning collection to cry my eyes out, it's so raw and such an amazing story! She is my favourite wolf and winner :3
...due to her*** Did he really? What did he say? I never watched that season ...tbh I stopped after the first few because it stopped being focused on actual fashion 😩 maybe it got better though, I need to check out some recent seasons.
Ashley and the other one that won during Mundo Guerra' season... Mundo should have won that season. The clothes that the winner - I can't remember her name - presented were nothing to write home about, you can find similar or better pieces at any store...
I completely agree!!! They made it about a Token Social win instead of about the most talented designer on the stage. After Tim Gunn... it became more about making "woke" statements, then it was about the sweat and hard work of creating beautiful fashion. It's absolutely sickening.. I found myself watching it on MUTE, before turning it off completely once and for all. The REAL Fashion world doesn't give a flying f*ck about any of their feelings!
Christian Siriano is amazing. I saw the ads for that season and called him out sad the winner from just that. There was something that I was drawn to with him and I am so happy he is doing well. ❤❤❤. Austin Scarlett was fantastic on the show. Loved his personality and he seemed so sweet.
I met Jay a few times. Once in Philadelphia at a Bank and another at a Diner in Warminster Pa when I was traveling for work. He was designing a sock collection and I believe his factory was in Bucks County Pa. He is so nice. I offered to help him with Marketing and his business manager contacted me briefly but I never heard back. He is so talented. I wish him well. I am visiting family in Savannah and hope to go to SCAD to see Christian Siriano's exhibit. I adore his work. So many talented designers. Hugs xoxo
I really love Christian Siriano's work and supported him as a winner on PR. I also love the way that he treats people like stepping in when no one wanted to dress Leslie Jones. However my view on him changed great when he was a mentor on PR and was hanging out in the workroom making comments about the male models during their changing and fitting. Had those been female models, no one would have stood for that kind of behavior. Honestly a lot of inappropriate comments have been made by many judges, when commenting about male models bodies on the runway, rather than their outfits, which never should happen; but Christian was the worst, and it was played for laughs. I wasn't laughing. No one should have been. Equality means equality.
I'm really quite amazed that they haven't mentioned Irina Shabayeva. She became somewhat successful after her win and just personally... she was my favorite designer.. As her styles were very feminine and wearable... not out-there-bordering-avant-garde looks.
I just saw an interview with Tim Gunn and he said the contract was a % of ALL earnings, not just his brand. So even if he worked at McDonalds. They only dropped the clause because Gunn threatened to walk. He found out in season 14? I think? That a new clause had been added so the Weinstein owned 100% of all the designs created on the show. So none of these young designers could expand on their collections. Gunn played hardball on that one too
@@musix2009 Why? It’s reasonable criticism of someone who is narrating. One or two words is forgivable, but she mispronounced many names and words incorrectly.

Who do you think is the most memorable Project Runway contestant?
Austin Scarlett
Out of all of them, Siriano is the only REAL fashion designer. And probably that girl who designs those beautiful wedding dresses..
@@loosie5224 he's an icon
Siriano and Mondo, my faves ❤
Andre & Santino & Daniel...that was the best season ever and all the seasons after that were an imitation.
Siriano is a fave because he's not only an amazing designer, but also genuinely kind and pushes the boundaries of who he dresses compared to others who just give don't bother, making every person who wears his clothes have their body complimented.
Siriano is totally my favorite ever!!!
Me too
Same here for his generosity of spirit in addition to his design talent.
Houston has much love for Chloe Dao. She’s a local hero.

I just watched Siriano's spring 2022 runway show, and it was really amazing.
Siriano is a TRUE artist
That was the season that got me hooked on the show❤
I would love for this channel to highlight Project Runway alum Laurence Basse!!!!! She has blown up! Her designs are AMAZING!!!!!!

Love Christian!! My very favorite Project Runway Winner!!
Love Christian, Mondo and who doesn't love Santino and his impression of Tim Gunn!!!!
Terri here. Christian Siriano, without a doubt. His creations are breathtaking...
Ashley Tipton shouldn't have won. Tim Gunn spoke out about it and quit the show do to her. Christian is the most successful by far!
Was she the plus size designer? What bout the chick with the buttons???
I'm happy for her win, but her looks were boring and it felt as though they crowned her as a token plus size winner.

Hands down Siriano: I have his clothing, shoes, bedding, shoes...love them all!

❤️ Christian!!!
Luv C Soriano!🥰🥰
Christian Siriano and Austin Scarlett
I remember seeing Siriano’s collaboration with Payless shoes
My favorite is Leanne Marshall. You forgot to mention that Simplicity patterns has patterns designed by her. If you sew, check them out!
LOL. I just commented this. Ashley Nell Tipton did a collab with them too. I wonder if anyone else has?
i've always loved chloe dao :) what a beautiful soul
Siriano is thee best project runway winner ever!
I liked them all except Sebelia. That dude needs a new personality.
Such a good video
I totally thought project runway was cancelled a few years ago
Bravo canceled it, but Lifetime picked it up.
Who came here to find, "Andre, where's *ANDRE?"*
He's working on Broadway
I am so proud to be trini!!! Way to go Anya Ayoung Chee..... Love you lots
Love Aoungchee
How about Seth Aaron?
Wow 10 percent of your brand
That’s gross so greedy.i wouldn’t take the money either
What episode is Christian at?
When does the next season start?
Thought it was canceled
@@lateedavis they was going to film it in 2020 but as we know that didn't happed maybe in 2022

Can someone help the narrator read? Many words mastered by the 4th grade are butchered by her. This makes my heart race.

I don't remember half these people. Siriano is my FAV!!!!!
Lesniak was never a mean girl. She was always the top designer... & stuck in the losing team
Literally the only famous person in this list is siriano
Your speaker needs to learn how to pronounce every word of more than 2 syllables!
"es-chew"
Shut up

FYI - Eschewed is pronounced Eh-shood
I think you need to check the dictionary. It's es-chood.
never like Siriano as a person on his season and do not like him as a mentor. He is talented though.
It doesn't shock me that this is about the elites "owning" some of the best talent. I bet others use their ideas as well.
Siriano is a huge name in fashion? Really, never heard of him but then I don't live in the huge USA.
It’s Sho-lo-hov, not Schu-lu-koff 😖
can you help me? Perhaps you saw me writing comments and yelling on TV. I need a truth. I was that kid who cried... ask her, please...
