Update : used this to tackle some serious weeds at my brother in laws. Worked great . Did have an issue with turning it upside down to do edging. But that’s likely the fuel line placement in tank Size line is 0.080 line
I've seen 2 of this style of homelite trimmer with leaks at the intake gasket. I spray carburetor cleaner where the intake mounts to the motor & it kills the motor. I'd be careful about spraying it on a hot motor. I had to cut my own intake gasket, couldn't find it online.
Thank you for your comment, I had some problems finding this carb myself. Since they used 2 styles on this model. I found one from HIPA that fit. Cheers
Push the line into the gas tank and pull it thru mostly. Use pliers to get the fuel line back thru the gas cap opening . And attach to filter and put the filter into the tank. Make sure there is enough line in the take so the fuel filter can reach the gas Hope that helps

@@dfields9511 thanks for the tip
Good review on that hipa carb another successful trimmer working again.
Thanks and I found a date on it, it’s from 2010. So it’s 12 years old .
@@dfields9511 I think I got one in my stash same kind I think.
@@Turningwrenches85 I think this year they did 1/2 with this carb and then they switched to zama style
@@dfields9511 oh really?
@@Turningwrenches85 yah a lot of the air filter box stuff I look up it says obsolete. And it’s the stuff that’s on the trimmer I have .
On the homelite I have the line goes in through the bottom. So do I push the line and filter all the way to the cap?
