I can't thankyou enough for this simple yet magical exercise I will be a subscriber of your channel for lifetime, I feel so overwhelmed while typing in this comment thankyou very much doctor ❤
Thanks Dr Rowe! You're exercises and stretches have allowed me to get over hip pain. I use many of your techniques daily to stretch and strengthen my hips and legs.
This video will go a long way in helping me resolve my problems. My hamstrings give me hell on a race track Sitting on hard surfaces is a nightmare. Have to diligently pursue Dr. Rowes' advice and fix my problems. Thank you, Doc.
Thnaks for this. I was mopping the floor and started having pain in sitbone areas and it was difficult to sit and lie down. The first exercise helped me in relieving tension.
Thanks for this video, Dr. Rowe. I have trouble sitting on a chair without pain in my butt. A folded pillow helps a little. I will start doing these every day. My legs are weak.
Thank you! Been dealing with this pain for over 8 months. Waiting on MRI results and these exercises have helped me. I haven't been able to sit for more than 5-10 minutes at a time. Will do these exercises :)

I am 61 years old and I’ve had bilateral hip replacements and I believe that my left leg has been shorter since the left side was replaced, but I’ve never been told that is the case however and after several years and the replacement settled and I was feeling well but about 5 years ago I developed a searing pain in my left gluteal region namely my “butt bone” . After a while I tried -physical therapy tried exercise, electrical stimulation, heat cold etc nothing worked. The doctor did some injections which helped fora few months and after about a year I felt fairly well. Butthe injections were short acting so I went to a different pain doctor and he did a series of nerve ablations and for about a year my back and hips were persona non grata. No pain no discomfort, nothing. Fast forward one year and my sit bone is so painful that nothing is working. Not the exercises you show in the video, not the exercises from past pain and I’m trying relafin now and it’s helping a bit but not definitively. Anyhow, could you perhaps recommend any thing that. could help
I am so glad I found out this video I just fall down last week and besides the pain on my glutes I am also suffering from stiffness from hips down to my feet from the back making not just painful but difficult to sit down, lying down etc even sleeping has been altered I’ve looking for a week until I found this video thank you so as always you are the best
Thank you so much for your video. It really helps. My right sit bone hurts for a week or so, very uncomfortable. Every excersize make it better. Thanks. 😊
A floor hockey ball is the same size as the tennis ball but is solid and can support the body weight more and lasts a very long time and does a better job than the tennis ball. Thank you for these exercises! They help!
My husband has this issue! We thought it was because he has a flat tush with no "padding" 😄so we never considered there was anything to do about it. Sharing this with him for sure so he can give these exercises a try!
Thanks for all your great advice. I really enjoy watching your videos, they provide a lot of knowledge and are very helpful on a daily basis in choosing food when shopping, etc. Thank you ❤✨

Hi Dr. Rowe, thanks for sharing your helpful videos. I have chronic tension in the lower back, rhizarthrosis and two Hip prostheses. That's why I can hardly support myself on my hands. How can I still stretch my back? A video about it would be great. Greatings from Germany
I suppose these are good for those who have no access to a health club or gym and who have never exercised. However, I've done those chair "push" isometrics shown on leg curl machines (just not isometric) and using cable pulleys at the bottom of the pulley. The exercises shown after that (on your back) are standard abdominal exercises I've done hundreds of times when I led exercise classes. The same goes for the one you did on your knees. I haven't led a class in 5 yrs, but I had very irritated sit bones for 10 years and still do.
Hi, I know this is 6 mo after the fact of your posting this great post - but, I do have a question… my recent MRI interpretation: Nearly all Lumbar spine bulging, L4/5 pinched. I also have a bruise to the left side of my sacrum (I’m thinking this happened during the ‘required’ PT on the yoga mat, because I didn’t have this sacrum pain nor the sit bone pain prior 😩) I’m 70yo & I can’t stand it when I sit. The pain is awful. Your videos are wonderful, but, I’m thinking I really can’t do the ones on the floor d/t my lower back issues. I believe those would cause me a great deal of pain. Do you have a video, or any other recommendations for me to try to ease this pain? Thx for any info you can lend me … ✌️
I’ve had knee replacement in both knees so kneeling for exercises is pretty tense. One knee, a year old, is getting better, but the other (only 4 months) still hurst pretty much when kneeling. Any ideas for those last exercises in a NON kneeling position? The tennis ball moves helped the sit bone tenderness a lot already with just one try though.
My pain is more across the left buttock and into my inner thigh. I'm a cyclist who had pudendal problems and now this is lingering Is this ok for me? Thank you I love your videos
This is very interesting. I have noticed a reduction of my sit bone pain since ive incorporated good mornings into my leg stretches. Im rehabilitating leg muscles and connective tissue since having lost over 100 lbs. I can now do a squat but forward lunges are a challenge.. I feel like my connective tissue is too week. Any stretching tips?
Am I right to believe the sit bone problem is different than the SI Joint disfunction? I have SI joint pain and also vertebrae area pain from compressed L3 injury 8 years ago and scoliosis above the L3. I have had foraminotomy and laminectomy surgery which helped a lot but it did not get rid of all the pain across the top of the buttocks. I do not currently see a chiropractor but hoping to find one in the new city I live in. Which technique or method of chiropractic should I look for to deal with this pain. Also is it possible to get rid of ALL my pain with chiropractic adjustments? I have osteo weakness as well and a little afraid of another bone fracture. Thanks.
Brother! Assalamo alaikum. Have u something for my right ankle joint pain ? Osteoarthritis after tibiofibulalar fracture due to road traffic accident? Thx.
How do I relief the pain on my right sit bone if I don’t have a R leg but I still have my pelvic and glute muscles. If you have recommendations, please Let me know
Can this pain be from sleeping on my stomach and pulling one knee up on the side? I've found myself in this sleeping position when I wake up even when I try not to turn over and sleep on my stomach.
