Future Of Energylandia After Abyssus Vekoma Launch Coaster | Zadra RMC Hybrid

  • Energylandia has become one of the largest amusement parks in the world and in a very short time frame. The park has only been around since 2014 and has fifteen roller coasters. Some are considered some of the best and they are very recent. Hyperion is the newest Intamin hypercoaster at the park and is near the top 10 for the tallest coasters in the world. Last year we saw the installation of Zadra. A massive Rmc hyper hybrid that has already taken the record from Steel Vengeance at Cedar Point. And will soon maintain and tie the record with Iron Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa. These thrill rides are a great one-two punch. Along with them still getting a Vekoma launch coaster next year. This Park will continue to grow, so let's see what the future will be for this park and see how it compares to Cedar Point and Six Flags Magic Mountain.

I could totally see Energylandia getting the first RMC T-Rex. RMC's focus is currently on the Raptor model, and trying to sell the cheap clones to smaller/lower-budgeted parks. Meanwhile, over the past few years, Energylandia's major coasters have custom layouts, which is FANTASTIC, with the family coasters being more off-the-shelf models. Coupling this with the fact they clearly are not afraid of prototypes/first kinds from a trusted manufacturer, and not afraid to go big and flashy... First RMC T-Rex! Calling it. (This is still several years out though since RMC still has R&D to do for that model)

Personally, I think a vekoma flying coaster world be great : it's very different from what Energylandia already has and they are currently showing they are able to make amazing theming with aqualantis. Of course several other models would also feet well but if I had to choose one, I would go for a vekoma flying coaster like the one going to phantasialand on 20--...2025 maybe !

Tbh, I'm a bit nervous for this park concerning profitability. Having so much funding from external agents they've had it easy financially. Once the Polish gov. stops funding them can they remain profitable? I have no clue how busy this park is on average, so maybe they are doing extremely well with attendance and are making tons of money on top of their "sponsorship." Personally, with all of that funding the park seems quite lackluster compared to how it could've been in comparison with Phantasialand or Europa Park in terms of themeing and resort destinations. I hope the best for Energylandia and Abyssus certainly seems like a step in the right direction

I could imagine that the relationship between Vekoma and Energylandia is also because of the financial support of the EU; You can find the Webpage of Energylandia, that the money is given for supporting local community, generating jobs AND to research and develop new Technologies and Patents to gain a competitive edge over the rest of the world. This could also be a reason why there are rumors for a tilt coaster. If you want to keep patents you either have to use them or keep researching and you have to prove that to the authorities. (I know this, because i worked at a company, where we had to do exactly that, we actually didn't use the patent, but we had to research around it, so that the company keeps that patent) And this would explain why Vekoma builds prototype rides in the park, than the coaster becomes a Project by the European Union.
From what i could find, Energylandia, got about 21 Million Euro from the EU, for different purposes. To be fair, that's not that much, if you want to build high thrill rides, I guess one of the reasons why they add family rides.
    What comes next?
Pretty hard to predict. I would like that they fill up gaps in the coaster line up something like; a real wooden coaster, Flying coaster, Wing coaster something a long those lines. Not sure how the agreement is between Vekoma and the Parent Company Sansei Technologies is, but something like a Compressed Air launch coaster would be sick af. (unlikely but still a unique ride in Europe)
Alternatively it could be that Vekoma just builds another Prototype in the Park, idk a spinning coaster (which Vekoma doesn't offer so far) or whatever they have on their drawing boards.

What Energylandia needs the most is better transport infrastructure serving the parks. Yeah, there's a highways in the general area, but nothing close to say Europapark, which sits right next to a highway exit and has a nice big access road servicing it. Energylandia on the other hand is quite a bit away from the nearest highway and has to be reached by driving on country roads. Some upgrades there would serve Energylandia greatly be increasing their "home turf", so to speak. Perhaps even go so far as to give Energylandia rail access.
As for coasters, if F.L.Y. is a success at Phantasialand I could easily see Energylandia get a new generation Vekoma flyer of their own.

Unfortunately, according to the latest Intamin website, they have lumped their hydraulic launch coasters into the LSM launch catagory. I take that to mean that they're done building the hydraulc version and will concentrate sales on the LSM version such as Red Force at PortAventura World. Unless Cedar Point or Great Adventure sell off Top Thrill Dragster or Kingda Ka, my guess is you won't see any others. What you realistically should hope for is an S&S air launch coaster. A launch like Dododompa may be the only thing that could exceed you desires. The only problem is that they haven't gone much above 200' with the air launch model.

Don't forget that Hyperion could have been a Vekoma, it's just that the (IMO inferior) Intamin won, the Vekoma layout blew me away, that ending in particular was a work of art. So if the voting went the other way then there would be yet another Vekoma in the park.
But I have an insane proposal for a future Energylandia coaster, A VEKOMA GIGA, remember that Vekoma is killing it these days, they've shown that they can design a hyper layout that looked better than an Intamin hyper. Also look at F.L.Y. and the new STC, Vekoma is moving rapidly, so is it really a stretch for Vekoma to start building gigas?

Like even Zadra is the first ever ground-up hybrid which hasn't been done by RMC prior, since they focus on converting older wooden coasters to hybrids. It's like they can test the waters in Energylandia for the rest of the world to see.

One thing to note, is that while Energylandia builds lots of coasters, those coasters tend to be quite cheap. Their most expensive coaster is most likely Hyperion, and even then they apparently skimped on the steel, using a lower quality material than Intamin recommended, which has led to the ride developing a nasty rattle.
In short, energylandia doesn't have the money to build some gigantic T-rex or B&M giga. Also, the amount of money they are getting from the government is usually overstated, AFAIK. Their biggest source of income are the nightclubs that the park owner also happens to run, or so I have heard. Not like this is first hand info.

Ultimately at some point the EU is going to stop funding Energylandia. And when that happens, the big question will be is if Energylandia is able to survive without an incredibly generous benefactor. Keep in mind, the EU is not pleased with Poland's movement away from democracy (much like the rest of the world isn't pleased with my country's, the United States). If Poland does change its ways (which I do think could likely happen) it's possible the spigot won't be switched off. But if they don't, EU probably wouldn't mind stopping its investments into the country. Either way, 1.6-2 million people still isn't that great. They're going to need to make moves to attract visitors from outside of Poland if they want to really grow their revenues. Or get bought by a mega conglomerate like Merlin Entertainment. And even then it still has to be a profitable venture. Which for the foreseeable future isn't likely. All of that said, I'm DYING to get to this park! :D

Energylandia is only the #1 top Coaster destination in all of Europe IMO, but that's just MY OPINION, (which has now become redundant in so saying), and for that reason I believe it's a good investment. But you're making it look like Energylandia is Polands ONLY economic saviour, just because you're a coaster enthusiast. If you keep this up and they don't invest as hard as they did in the past three years, are you gonna blame Energylandia for Poland's economic crisis caused by Covid 19?
Roller coasters are great but they're not the answer to all the world's ills ESPECIALLY during Covid 19. What happens if they don't invest this year? Are you gonna say that people in Poland deserve to die because they didn't invest in Energyandia just because you like Roller Coasters? Get you head out of your ass: no matter how hard you try you won't find a roller coaster up there.
Also: whenever you say "It doesn't make sense to me" you can probably bet it's your problem; and that perhaps you don't know everything. NO SHIT SHERLOCK! Also: New Vekoma is GOOD, old Vekoma is BAD. How can you do this if you don;'t even know the difference between good coasters and bad coasters? Ge out of your conspiracy theories; they're bad for your brain. I'll bet you've never even been to Europe before, including England (let alone Poland). You're Miss Talk out of your ass. Energylandia's future DOES look bright; probably the only intelligent thing you've said here.
