This was a beautiful fight. Their first fight had Hellboy at a disadvantage with him being drunk, caught off guard and having to deal with the bizarre condition to not actually hurt his opponent. In this one he came prepared and sober and the two were even. It's nice that movies do this instead of "he beats the enemy via sheer willpower or power of friendship".
Hugely underrated mythology finally on screen. I'm not Irish but I know a little about the Tuatha De Danann so I can see lots of references in this movie. Mythology from the British Isles just hits different.

Imagine if Hellboy had actually settled the matter by punching Nuada's lights out right after saying "you live". His sister would have fallen unconscious as well, but both would have lived. He could have been securely locked up in the BPRD's prison vaults, and the Golden Army used as the BPRD's jailors through Hellboy.

Had Nuala not been born with his curse which causes her to literally feel the same pain her brother feels and vice versa (as in if one gets wounded, the other will be wounded in the same spot as well), things would have been different.

Nuada was a warrior… and ending should’ve been other way round. Nuada should’ve bested Hellboy again. And would’ve proceeded to kill him, only for Nuala to sacrifice her life in order to save the world. That would’ve been poetic. Unlike this absurd parody of warrior code.

Hell boy 1&2 are superior films. Meticulous, artfully made, worth multiple watch. It’s been a hard fall for the franchise and a great loss for the fans.

Had Nuala not been born with his curse which causes her to literally feel the same pain her brother feels and vice versa (as in if one gets wounded, the other will be wounded in the same spot as well), things would have been different.

Nuada was a warrior… and ending should’ve been other way round. Nuada should’ve bested Hellboy again. And would’ve proceeded to kill him, only for Nuala to sacrifice her life in order to save the world. That would’ve been poetic. Unlike this absurd parody of warrior code.
