Atlanta Airport (ATL) - Check-In & Walkthrough - Southwest Airlines (2023)

This video shows us being dropped off at the North Terminal at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport where we head to Southwest Airlines check in area and baggage drop. We then proceed to the South Security TSA Checkpoint where those with TSA PreCheck can breeze through security. Following our TSA encounter we continue our walkthrough to Concourse C where our gate (Gate C17) is located. This little tour takes us on ATL’s Plane Train to quickly move us between the Concourses and save a little time in getting to our gate.

Something I didn't know until yesterday! When you're travelling to ATL on an international flight and you land at concourse E, you only have to make the walk to F if Atlanta is your final destination. If you have a connecting flight, you can go through immigration and customs right there at concourse E. You also pick up any checked luggage at E and drop it off there too after customs.

This has been super helpful. Are all Southwest flights in Concourse C then? I have a 45 minute layover in Atlanta so I'm hoping to my connection is in Concourse C.

Yes, right now Southwest operates exclusively out of concourse C

Which terminal do you use to check-in for international SWA flights?

You will check in at the domestic terminal on the north side where the Southwest airlines check-in and baggage drop counters are. They do not have any check-in facilities at the international terminal.
