The Witcher: Blood Origin Finale Episode 4 Review where we find out just how low these characters can go! With the hero telling the villain that you were on the right track, you just needed to do even more evil! Next up is The Last of Us in under a week, but first let me know your thoughts below. What did you think of Blood Origin? Are you looking forwards to The Last of us? Let me know and as always, thanks for watching :)
The only reason the Lark can say to the Empress that she’s evil in the show is because the Lark has more points in intersectionality, therefore is the more oppressed Elf. An EOC (elf of color) will always suffer more than a whhhhite elf. 😛

Narrator: So the writers of Witcher Blood Origin wrote a crap show, then had to kill two episodes, drastically change their crap for only 4 episodes, and then the Henry Cavill revenge happened. But in the end, the defeat of evil Hollywood would be a victory for the ages, because a young UA-cam knight from England would have the first and last laugh.
Thanks for watching these so that we don't have to! Don't give them your attention nor your money, folks! There is other things that you can give both that deserve it more.
@@linzbrad13 I agree. I watched the first few minutes and could not bear going any further with it. Disparu's "retelling" of it, via these reviews, deserves an award. They are far more entertaining.
I love how they villainize how a kingdom works: “She takes the food you grow to fatten her armies” Yes. Farmers farm food to feed the army to maintain peace so you aren’t murdered while farming by people who are better at killing then farming. Or if the land can’t grow enough food for your kingdom the army invades another land to take more land/food by force in which case they don’t have time to farm so they have to eat the food the farmers farm! Although these are the California Hollywood morons who don’t believe anyone is evil including the woman who murders her whole family to not live a comfortable life where she could have been a huge influence on two kingdoms.
It still boggles my mind that they made the freakin dwarf use a LONGBOW, because that makes sense...it's not like there's a medieval weapon that shoots deadly bolts and can be used even by people with tiny arms
I seriously wonder how their tought process went... something like "Hey, how does she fight at a distance?" "I don't know, should we make her hammer magic so that she can throw it around at people?" "Nah, the mouse might sue us, a crossbow" "hmm, it's too game of thrones" "oh, you know what's never been done? A dwarf with a bow" "OMG, that's genious!"
This is the problem with a lot of writers these days. They want to write a fantasy story but have no imagination so they have write like it is a medieval historical drama but they also don't know anything about history, so in the end it is just a convoluted mess that makes no sense in either fantasy or reality. It really is quite funny to watch. Not pay for god no, but to watch at a distance and laugh.
the problem is that first of all they want to send woke messages, they just use basic stories as vessels to do so, and we get poor plots and dialogues, awful acting, CGI, costumes, settings, fight choregraphies…
How much imagination do you need, when you literally have a BOOK with all the lore in it? They are too stupid to copy a story from a professional writer. These are the people that would sit beside you in highschool trying to copy your notes in the test and still get a F and then lamenting about being oppressed or something like that.
They know how to write. They just don't want to write what you like. This story arc sounds like how the Russian revolution (or all revolutions) 'start'.....jeez....'you will owe nothing, and you'll be happy'...
Its actually kind of comedic that she went from "this is the food they've taken from you, we need to revolt." to "they haven't produced any food - we need to revolt." The conclusion remains the same even though the circumstances are completely different. Its also beyond infantile that the motivation to revolt wasn't the starvation, psychosis, or kinslaying, but a song.
"They stole all this food from us! That makes me mad!" "It's empty." "There was no food for them to steal... so we're still oppressed! That makes me mad!" Warsong begins
For all this show and others from 2022 should be rightfully dismissed it would be a mistake not to recognise what they illustrate perfectly. The writers of She Hulk, Willow and Blood Origin are revealing a hideous truth. In their derangement they're going full mask off and showing the utterly cancerous underpinnings of their chosen ideologies and that they are utterly blind to the, frankly, evil outcomes they seek to usher in. We dismiss THAT to our utter peril as that is what has lead us to the current state of the world and social discourse.
I agree completely. However, the best way to counter this is to ignore their ideologies and focus on the shortcomings of the production. Focus on the how terrible the writing is and how terrible the execution of the shows are. The politics are a trap and if you engage them on this you engage them in their own arena. There you will be immediately dismissed as a phobyisty and all of your points discarded. We are better off denying them this opportunity and focusing on the lack of merits of their shows they are presented. It is the only way to deny them their defense which they have prepared ahead of time.
Hollywood is terrible these days. I watched the trailer for the new Evil Dead move and I don't think there's a person with "dangly bits" in the whole movie.
@@PrincessFionaYT That’s very much true, which is why this whole phenomenon is so infuriating and twisted. If you start by focusing on the story, you are almost circlejerking yourself by steelmanning what was clearly never meant to be an actual story as much as thinly veiled propaganda or a trap; it’s like pretending to believe a shady looking person in a dark alley asking for directions - the rational thing to do would be to walk past them and accept that there is some truth to that stereotype. Then again, if you engage the overt underlying motivation of the writers, you fall into the trap you just mentioned and it becomes a political discussion which will be dismissed in the context of “artistic” critique. It’s a damned if you do damned if you don’t scenario and probably the best way to approach it is to have the balls to dissect every single aspect of these painful to watch shows like Gary or Disparu do.
I find their bizarre insistence on the acceptability of blatant evil to be rather... ominous. I'd very much like to hear the unedited discussions of their writing process, though I expect they conceal that since (given the caliber of people involved) it likely features admissions to numerous crimes...
The people creating these shows are using beloved stories and characters to push absolutely disgusting ideologies, glorify evil actions and evil heroes, and glorify the destruction of traditions, family, masculinity, and femininity. I wonder if it's intentionally malevolent or if it's ignorance? Or both?
I love that the woman that survived a shipwreck has perfect hair and her dress is dry. Meanwhile, the other passengers of the ship are strewn about 20 meters around her, all lying perfectly straight with no visible injuries. No cargo, or splinters of wood, just bodies in a massive evenly-dispersed circle... Sick visuals
The Harfoot did more with his magic before he got his "power up". Throwing the kid mage around like a rag doll, instantly heating a knife up to glowing hot so the Empress dropped it (which he did while pinning kid mage to the wall with magic at the same time), and slitting his aid's throat with a slight move of his hand. When he made the portal that sucked the soldiers in that might have been a new power but considering "good guy" mage also had the power to make portals without touching an obelisk perhaps it was something he could already do. So all he got was flamethrower, and seemingly to learn it he forgot all the other magic he used earlier in the show. At least pokemon only have to forget 1 move to learn a new one.
Dude.... I'm so glad you're a part of the fellowship now. You're a damn legend and you deserve it. I could honestly see maybe drinker or someone else involved with them getting REALLY big and hiring you. You guys would conquer.
My brother and I were literally just talking about the "oppressed vs. oppressor" mindset, and how everyone has to keep trying to be a bigger victim than everyone else so they don't wind up on the oppressor list and have their awful policies and ideologies turned against them. Also, Lark is pure evil, as are the rest of the surviving heroes. What was their plan after overthrowing the only government in the land? Did they have a new system of government in place? Did they know who would be interim leader? Did they know how to feed the people? Did they actually know how to govern? Was there any plan to fix anything? How was their revolution ever going to cause anything other than anarchy and a never-ending cycle of tyrants and misery? Sorry, I forgot to turn my brain off! I'll do that quickly, and it'll be fine!
Well, seeing how the elves had no food and few mages to produce an alleged magic food substance in the stead of real food, their only hopes of survival would be to first eat the corpse of that monster that the only hero-ish individual slew, which was literally the only story in this entire show of self-sacrifice and selfless service, then to start eating the elves that died from the "insurrection," to then hope the humans had gotten to the elves location by that time in order for the humans to start feeding everyone and to hope there would be enough resources to last until the next harvest season comes around before they run out and once again revert to mass cannibalism. So, I'm guessing cannibalism is the norm if this mostrosity of a show is given a second season, which I truly believe will not happen for just how appalling of a story this ended up being. Other than this, monsters would be eating all during the absolute chaos the alleged protagonists left society and then quickly abandoned to continue with their vain conceited and narcissistic ways, and with billboards up requesting people go off and murder monsters plaguing certain locations, I'd be guessing most of the impoverished would be up to the task simply in the hopes of eating the monsters they could possibly attempt to slay, lest they become even more vile monsters themselves as they turn to cannibalism instead...Then again, isn't most arrogantly ignorant people like this shows entire writing room similarly pressuring our own society to revert to cannibalism, which is being pushed by most of Corporate Media currently? Never overestimate the redundancy of stupidity, these entitled and privileged narcissists should all be blacklisted from all forms of media after this abomination was published!! The Lark being pregnant during a time where no food is available would likely have caused a miscarriage from a lack of nutrition seeing how no food is available and monsters are now higher on the pecking order, so much for the origin storyline it looks as though the majority are to die of starvation and the child of elder blood would never be born, the more immoral people to continue on and for morality to be targeted for supper, as those more inclined to walk the path of evil have no qualms about eating their own. I have no doubt that the Lark would have no issues eating others or even her friends as she is too busy self-validating herself with writing and singing a song about herself to selfishly keep her acts of true evil known by the world for as long as possible, and seeing just how evil the writers made her out to be in the end I can earnestly see her doing as much, and that is truly laughable!! The Lark is not writing a song to commemorate her fallen friend, the guy who selflessly sacrificed himself to gain powers they needed to compete with the power structures they faced, all in order to prevent his friends from undergoing the same evil and known early grave and to put that burden upon himself instead, she is too busy conceitedly writing a song about herself than giving him any credit and I find that truly shocking of the writing room for this show!!! The utter gall it must take to actually push this nonsense as if justified, the entire writing room are acting upon evil themselves. I mean, I thought the Lark was quite evil to start off with, but by the end she literally agreed with the antagonist who ended nearly all royal lines and committed a genocide upon nearly all maintaining the worlds social networks and safety structures while that same antagonist had no viable plans on how to recover after the disparity in leadership is felt by society, all because she demanded power for the sake of power because being handed a life of luxury was somehow beneath her, while at the same time she is incapable of ruling while also demanding to rule. This is the peak of irony; it literally defines the quip "woman moment" as the story pretends that she's burdened with the troubles of leadership while she does not lead in the slightest and as society is slowly falling into absolute ruin and destitution. The protagonists honestly never needed to do anything, all they had to do was wait a couple more days and society would have fallen to hell anyways, there was no food thereby there was a ticking clock already established with the doom of this reign of terror. The Lark supposedly implying that the princess was evil, but only because she did not go even further with her genocide to make her actions instead righteous?! I'm truly shocked by this writer's room! Sorry, but having the belief of evil not being enough evil to be considered good, for true crimes against humanity not going far enough with a body count does not somehow make someone justified and moral, only if the correct number of murders are instead reached to make such evil a triumph instead, the backwards logic, hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance on display with this end narrative was appalling to witness. Quite the hero, sure, something tells me the Lark's story should have earnestly ended in the first episode when she was imprisoned, likely was going to be sentenced to death for her malicious attack upon the locals for them simply being too handsy with an attractive younger woman working at a drinking establishment in some hell hole of a small impoverished town from nowhere, instead of that young woman realizing such work would likely be a bad life choice in the first place, and I would agree with Capital punishment for the Lark after witnessing the true evil she put upon others for a young woman choosing poorly in life to put herself in the line of fire of such sexual assault to begin with, this is not rocket science. Maybe join any other profession rather than serving men substances that lower their morality to begin with, perhaps?! But no, instead she gets men drunk, men get handsy, the Lark starts cutting into people...The punishment does not fit the crime, thereby the Lark has committed a crime of her own!! To add, the conjunction is where all races come together, and magic is taught for all in order to protect the newly established civilization from the monsters that lurk all around and amongst society. Humans grow far more adaptable at using magic than elves, and that of being more attuned to chaos to make their advancement in magic more viable, then allegedly from canon the humans turn on the elves and that is when humans outright claim power for their lot while pressing other species into lesser positions of value in society. Although, looking at what these writers produced for Blood Origin, I'd wager it was always the elves who had problems with everyone else (as witnessed by Blood Origin where humans are missing). All along the elves had instigated the disparity to begin with, long before humans, as the writers made abhorrently clear with how they already show elves already had a bigoted view upon others far before humans came into being, and I'd wager these evil elves were just so damned evil, humans came to the conclusion that the only way to save society itself from yet another evil genocide that another power crazed elf would cause was to castigate elves outright and make them "lesser" for their own good, simply to save society from the malice of elves alone! I mean, judging from what these writers pushed in this 4-episode series, before humans were even present in the world, I don't blame humans for being so vile to elves in the Witcher canon now if that was supposedly how elves were already, long before humans even entered the equation. Were the writers earnestly that short sighted?! They literally wrote themselves into making elves the bad guys all along, humans were not in the world, yet they wrote this show as though they were, all in order to press such bigotry, sexism and racism, only to meet a roadblock when they now introduce humans into the world. If there is to be another season, the writers made the elves the bigots, and the only answer is for humans to shun elves to protect elves from once more claiming power and becoming drunk off said power, to eventually lead to yet another genocide like what was in season one!! The writing team for this show are truly appalling if not purposefully acting upon evil themselves!
@snugglestruggle8437 You're hitting on something I've been noticing for a long time, which became even more in your face in RoP. The evil of relativism. Relativism has become an ideology, almost a religion embodied by the writers of these shows. Everything is relative. There is no objective truth. There is only your truth and my truth. Therefore, evil does not truly exist. It is not a fact that certain actions are objectively, 100%, always evil. If the person doing the evil thing is someone you disagree with, then it's evil. If it's someone you agree with or view to be righteous, then it's not evil. It can't be evil because they're doing it for the right reasons. This is why Lark fails to realize that, in moralizing to the empress about how she didn't carry her genocide far enough, she was also including herself amongst the list of people who should off themselves for the good of the oppressed. Selfishness is also being held up as the epitome of strong, independent womanhood, while selflessness is almost always shown by the men and universally derided as weak and somehow misogynistic. Like Disparu said, the mask didn't just slip in this episode. It's on the ground shattered into a million pieces. There's no replacing it.
After what they said about following doctor who's example of switching actors its really ironic how much they could have learned from the doctor who zygon speach
The reason the original Lord of the Rings by Peter Jackson and WETA felt real is that they paid attention to every detail. Like, if there is a necklace, they can tell you what culture it is from. If there is a horse, they know the meaning behind it. If the cloth pattern is stars, they will have a reason for that. Not this costume, random jewelry mishmash that we see on screen with these new shows.
“I don’t know whether she’s screaming or just writing a new song”. From this point forth I didn’t hear anything you said over the sound of my laughter.
book canon is literally that the human men FUCKED and the elf women sabotaged the elf men so they could keep dping- I mean, doing 'diplomatic relations' and 'intercultural communication' with them
I'm fully convinced the narrator isn't required for the audience but for the writers watching. I bet when they watched the full show they got all happy when the narrator told them their own story and giggled at how smart they are. Like can writers not hold plot points in their head for longer than a few minutes anymore and think them through. It's like the writers have the most basic idea for a plot note it down and never go back and refine it beyond that point. So many shows give of that energy now. So revolutions yeah sadly it never works out as well as the show makes it. Most revolutions in our own history ended very badly with often more radical people going into power. Yes there are occasions where a revolution worked out in a benefit but not straight away. We're talking possible years to generations before things settle down into a possible better state. Like a Revolution is often caused by an outside country wanting to occupy more land. The basic thinking being if X kingdom is busy with peasant revolt than it's easy to walk an army in under the pretence of helping either the people in charge or the revolt before they take the land for themselves. Peasants with no decent weapons would fall to an average solider. A scythe, pitchfork, rusty sword, a few hammers and whatever else they would have access to will not protect you from hardened trained soldiers. Hell most peasants died to your average criminal with a spear.
Okay, but that line about Redbull was fucking fantastic. I'm glad you're here to explain this, because I was somewhat interested in the story and had been looking forward to your episodes on it and Willow, because I'll be fucked if I'm actually going to pay money for the real thing.
And here he strikes again! Just found this channel yesterday and since binge watched your great videos. Every time you're 100% accurate and just say what i think. Almost every time. Im so thankful that i found your channel. It's just great.
I'm amazed how the "elf-kind" looks, acts, speaks and dresses like "silly Hollywood victorians", down to cockey street urchins and toothless peasants. How unique, how amazing, how fantastical, how incredible! That's the way to go, Netflix!
To be honest elf-kind was portrait pretty stupid in the witchers novels from the beginning. They saw the humans carving kingdoms out of their realm and decided: nah, it's fine we sit this out. Turns out... in relation to elves, humans multiply like rabbits and guess what? After elf-kind blinked some times they woke up in ghettos in human cities build upon the ruins of an elven society and couldn't still grasped what had happened.
This show is insane, it’s the level of a fanfiction-obsessed teen writing a nanowrimo and thinking it’s a masterpiece. How do they go through all the production needed for a show without anyone pointing out how it doesn’t make sense!!!
While I agree that my nanowrimo project last year (original fiction) was terrible, and probably wasn't any better than this show, my fanfiction is usually way better. At the very least, I can remember what happened in the last chapter, and most of my good guys don't resemble Voldemort.
How is she pregnant with a magic Witcher baby, if they did it before he drank the potions? I guess they could’ve made the sell swords wait while they ran off for quickies on the way.
"Red Bull gives you wings...so you can piss off" - Disparu, 2023. Love it. Oh, yay, _The Last of Us_ ! Starring my current favorite actor, Pedro Pascal!
Last of Us....the show where the writers told the actors to not play the games and not inform themselves on the source material. Good god I have a bad feeling about this one.
Progressive storytelling really is just the deleted scene from Captain Marvel where she assaults and steals from a guy who thought she was attractive and it's played off as CM being in the right...
35:50 actress: screams Disparu: I don't know whether she's screaming or just...writing a new song me: bursts out loud totally caught me off guard, thanks lad 👌
At this point, I think it's worth comparing them to Madame Defarge from Tale of Two Cities. She's the real example of what revolutionaries are like: spending years recording names of the people she's going to kill, then when the thing kicks off she just murders whoever she wants to. I thought the book was a bit unrealistic when I was in High School, but damn...it's shockingly true to how some people think.
Is it worth pointing out that the first Witcher of the show’s namesake is at best a secondary character, reduced to a glorified attack dog in the final conflict?
If you ever write a novel, whether a serious one, or better yet, one along the lines of Douglas Adams, I'll purchase a copy without ANY hint of what it's about. Your understanding of what makes a story a GOOD story, worth reading, hearing, or watching, is amazing.
13:30 I think, when she saw the empty grain storage, her plan was to incite a fruitless rebellion that decimates the entire population so that there is enough food for the survivors. Truly stunning and brave!
The idea that the Aen Elle had dirty peasants is so LAUGHABLE. I hate that they think they could rewrite the Elder Blood eugenics/bloodline plot with this with made up characters.
“I went ballistic, killed my family and betrayed everyone I know, and subjugated entire nations because I was gonna be married off as a peace offering.” The motivations for characters, especially the villain, is so laughably stupid.
15:55 « why can’t you write a vilain that makes sense?!… is it because you agree with what she’s done? » OF COURSE !! 😂 16:02 « I know you’re angry because I did brutally murder everyone you’ve ever loved, BUT I did it for power! It’s gotta count for something! » 😂😂
So better ending: They all look up to see a crusade fleet of Black Templar space marines that got sucked into their universe starting to launch their drop pods.
"Grain grown by you, the lowborn" No. The lowborn lark is talking to are all city dwellers who are clearly not farmers. The people who grew the grain all live outside the city... you know, on the actual farms since the is no mass transit to allow the city dwellers to commute to work on the farms.
You're such a legend Disparu, love your reviews man! Nothing better than getting off of work and sitting down to eat dinner and relax and watch you tear Hollywood a new one! 🤣🤣
19:50 This guy knows he's invincible as long as he stays behind the people with fallopian tube powers. They can't get hurt, so may as well have them on the front line!
Previously i didnt understood when people say "i was rooting for the villian" because at the end of the day i like a story where the good guys win- this is the first time i understood what they mean- i legit wanted the monster to kill this guy and the revolting peasants crushed-when your heroes have nothing heroic about them-or any admirable quality for that matter-why would i root for them? Oh right- their leader is a black woman and the dwarf is lesbian
27:15 you forgot to mention that the hark just GUIDE the empress' hand the whole time killing her, but the empress is the one holding her own knife THE WHOLE TIME!!
Wild Hunt are smart enough to know that they are no match against a regional Baron's militants , avoid them and only appear when Ciri left population centers. And they have TEN MEN.
Question if the sister was a hostage why did they send her through the portal? Do they not know how hostages work? You keep them away from the person who wants them not send them to another world together
Is it sad that I get excited every time you post a new episode review while equally despising every episode that comes out? haha Thank you Disparu! -Dan
Just a quick question, at 40:11 , where'd she'd get all those massive piles of rocks from in a pretty barren desert landscape that looks like salt plains or some shit. Did she carry them all there from somewhere else?
How dare you, writers, to kill the only character who could use sign languages? Dwarves are magical creatures. You can give them any armor size and it will fit, any size.
Pretty sure they had to include narration to tell people everything because no one was actually watching and they're pretty sure they're not getting a second season for this mess.

They could have given her a spear. Great for receiving charges since she has no mass, and she can use it to reach things. Or toss it.
Disparu, I am both SO sorry and SO grateful that you decided to cover the entire series! :’)
Maybe BO was a comedy all along, actually anything made for "modern audiences" seems to be a comedy.
blame le mis for that
"They stole all this food from us! That makes me mad!"
"It's empty."
"There was no food for them to steal... so we're still oppressed! That makes me mad!"
Warsong begins
The writers are unintentionally making a case against revolution, not for it.
But the starving people can murder everyone and burn everything down! And then still starve to death! Yay?
IKR 😅
I honestly have become confused over the difference between this, Rings of Power and Willow. *IS* there a difference??
Only character names and location
Rings of Power is worse, thanks to season 2.
Nailed it. It’s not just these plots that are stupid and evil, it’s actually the writers and the people funding them.
Hey hey don't forget about ROP
I find their bizarre insistence on the acceptability of blatant evil to be rather... ominous. I'd very much like to hear the unedited discussions of their writing process, though I expect they conceal that since (given the caliber of people involved) it likely features admissions to numerous crimes...
It’s called a tell-a-vision (television) program for a reason 👀
I expect they don't even _understand_ the concept of morality.
Seems to be the trend with these shows. Do these writers truly believe these characters are good?
The people creating these shows are using beloved stories and characters to push absolutely disgusting ideologies, glorify evil actions and evil heroes, and glorify the destruction of traditions, family, masculinity, and femininity. I wonder if it's intentionally malevolent or if it's ignorance? Or both?
This is my thinking as well. "If we can convince the audience to do the things we do, we can't be judged."

Witcher Blood Origin:
Where you want the alien from “The Thing” to win and consume earth.
Wait, that wasn’t the point of the show?
"Evil is the new good"
The Witcher: blood origins
The reason the original Lord of the Rings by Peter Jackson and WETA felt real is that they paid attention to every detail. Like, if there is a necklace, they can tell you what culture it is from. If there is a horse, they know the meaning behind it. If the cloth pattern is stars, they will have a reason for that. Not this costume, random jewelry mishmash that we see on screen with these new shows.
Also the armor and weapons looked real, unlike the plastic crap in this show that has no weight to them.
Every time they use the word "conjunction" I automatically think of The Dark Crystal...you know, because that was actually good.

The morality of these "heroes" and how the elves behave here makes the later subjugation and persecution of them by humans seem reasonable.
Maybe all the elves decided that they'd had their shot and the humans couldn't possibly do worse.
book canon is literally that the human men FUCKED and the elf women sabotaged the elf men so they could keep dping- I mean, doing 'diplomatic relations' and 'intercultural communication' with them
really book ver of how it went down is far better but no way would the wokecists have let it into their show

I can see this happening.
The show was written by goldfish. No one can convince me otherwise.
