For those outside of the club, we, (Ipswich) have installed three new pitches at the training ground, a new pitch at Portman road, and blueprints for world class training facilities will be built imminently.
There are 21,000 capped season tickets, every home game is sold out, 97% capacity, because of the 3% of unsold away tickets. We also sold 50,000 shirts last season, and have £105M to invest in the infastructure over the next five years, including increasing the capacity.
We are the fittest team int he league, Mc Kenna uses the subs and squad better than any other club I have seen, and this is why we score so many goals late on, and why the subs have scored so many goals.
We bought well last Jan (23) and this Jan 24, adding Al Hamadi, Kieffer Moore, Sarmiento and Travis Lewis, all making valuable contributions.
We are still not promoted, and it is possible that we will not achieve it, yet I fancy us.
I have said since Mc Kenna came to Ipswich that the only 2 clubs he would leave us for, are Spurs and Man Utd, and I stand by that, although Brighton would be tempting, and West Ham might come calling.
The project is a big one, and he only dropped into L1 because of the plans, and he is unlikely to leave before the bulk of those plans have come to fruition
you forgot the bit where VAR and the refs will screw you every week if you go up. Enjoy this season because next season will be a lot different sadly😥. Look at the decisions that have gone against Forest and Burnley (who btw were MILES better than anyone in the Championship this season, 101 pts, top scorers, lowest goals conceded, only lost 3 all season and didn't get started for the first 3rd of the season). The gap is huge between the Championship and the bottom 5 of the PL. I do hope you go up though, McKenna has done an incredible job with you, he seems very level headed which you will need in this last few games, to be where you are with those teams around you is pretty special imho.
Have always had a soft spot for Ipswich - really hope you guys come up - hopefully at the expence of Leeds or Leicester ! You deserve it.....and yes, your Manager is a real rising star. I too could see him managing a Top 10 club one day - but perhaps needs a couple of seasons IN the PL first - hopefully with Ipswich, but my club - Forest - could do much worse ASSUMING we survive this season !!

@@rjw4762 If we get promoted, there is every chance he will manage a top ten Premier Club next season.
Forest are in the dogfight now, and Everton always seem to escape, although Brentford are also down there.
I don't know all the fixtures so don't have a view on the relegation battle.
Mc Kenna will only leave Ipswich for the right opportunity, and that is as much about stability as anything else, and no disrespect, but can't see how Forest would ever tick that box for him.
He is outstanding, already, and is also a world class communicator, never mind anything to do with football, and a highly talented manager, again nothing to do with football.
On top of that he is highly principled, a great coach and a very hard worker.
His biggest challenge will be if we don't get promoted now, not if we do.

@@kevinbailey3384 Indeed. If you were to lose in the POs, it would be a real fight to keep him. The again, that pre-supposes that there will be a suitable job available in the PL this summer. Perhaps IF De Zerbi left brighton to go to Man Uts or Liverpool , he could be tempted by BHA ? Hope you come up and he stays, frankly.
Modern day manager ,tactically brilliant,knows when to bring on impact subs ,to win games , gets the best out of players thats from a Leicester fan
To be fair, he has been using the bench, like they do in rugby, for ages now, not many other managers seem to dot he same

Barnsley fan here i said last season when i watched ipswich play theyd be challenging for prem this season . I hope they do it.
I can remember a chap called Bobby Robson in the 70s and early 80s who had Ipswich consistently in the top six of English football. Different times nowadays with countries owning clubs and cheating but hey ho it is what it is.

Kieran McKenna will make Ipswich a top six Premiership Club in my view.
Why do people have to take it too far. This absolutely will not happen. And before you point out Brighton they struggled for quite a few years in the premier league before becoming what they are now. At the very most they'll finish around mid table which would be an incredible effort

@@alfieb6711 It's Reading, but he's wrong. They got a 6 point penalty in 2022 with six suspended should they fail to meet a business plan agreed with the league. They didn't fail on that until February the following season, when they didn't make player sales they expected to make. There's no way in the world he refused to take legal action because he wanted to be nice.

The Premier League is incredibly boring…the same 3-4 teams at the Top, the same 3-4 teams trying to get into the Top 6, the rest hoping to avoid relegation, and all the financial bs that comes with it. I’ve watched a lot of matches in the Championship this season, especially Ipswich, whose games are edge-of-the-seat material every time. Postmann Road packed to the rafters every match, the atmosphere astonishing. The argument that «too early to get promoted, they will be butchered in the PL» is really not worth commenting. When is it the right time to be promoted..? The influx of money, new players, etc, will totally change. And by the way, the way that the three promoted clubs (Burnley, Sheffield U, Luton) has gone about their business in the PL this season, is bordering on the naive. No way that MCKenna and Ipswich would end up that way.
