I'll be dammed! A short video with a clear speaking presenter who isn't trying to act. Better yet, no annoying music, no corny jokes and minimal tools. I take my hat off to you. Those x-mas trees are adorable and original. Thank you, I really enjoyed your video. 👍🇨🇦
Uh-oh! Putting hubby to work! I want a whole forest of those trees for my mantle. He's so wonderful about doing things like this for me. They are whimsical and distinctive, and I love them!
Hell yeah, Use the Glove For Stuff Like this, I also USE those Same Sanding Discs ALL THE TIME.. And Man have I gotten " Burned" Aint fun and Aint Purddy.. I LOVE the Trees! Your SO RIGHT, I have tried to FREE hand Drawings on Wood. MEH, becomes chicken Scratch! Love the DESIGN, and So MANY Different Ways one Could shape and for them!!! Thanks, Tis the Season For NEW IDEAS!! I Subbed!!
Your voice and speaking patterns reminds me of Mr. Carlsons Lab. The electronics guru. Just found your channel and have been watching the star building videos. They are all excellent tutorials for building wooden stars.
I really like your tree designs they are so soft and artistic can you let me redraw these designs and make them i will make them with my cnc machine thank you very much
Here’s the issue. If it catches the glove no the sander won’t hurt your skin. It spinning and ripping fhe glove into the middle of a spinning death wheel at thousands of rpm is what will mangle your hand. Unless by some miracle the gloves flys off without your hand. Please don’t do that.
I hear you but in my experience this has not been the case (Knock on wood). I've buzzed my leather glove a few times with my sanding disc and nothing happened. Probably because it's so thick. I had a close call with a wire brush but not the sanding disc. It might be fun to make a video testing different gloves with various attachments. I've heard of some people modifying the switch on the grinder so that it can't lock the power "on". So if it did swing around it would automatically turn off. However, I think it would be annoying and awkward to hold the switch "on" the entire time with my thumb. Another thought I had was to use a foot pedal to power it. That way if anything happens I can just lift my foot and it turns off.
Beautiful Power carving. For small simple shapes I’ve used rasps. Almost as quick and the teeth leave textured character. For holiday trees I sprayed a pale green transparent base, ghost hint of metallic, dots of mixed yellow/fluorescent yellow. Easy project to batch out. My stained and natural trees looked like an unhealthy fire damaged forest.

Thank you! I really appreciate the compliments. :)
@@savvybuilds I agree! I hate watching woodworking videos where the presenter "tries" to make jokes or has pop-up images. Excellent video. Thank you!
@@jungbechtospk40 Are you saying you found my plans on WoodPrix? Because I own the copyright to those...
Beautiful. Love it. Thank you for uploading this and teaching us.

Great video.
Many thanks for sharing.
Have cut out 10 trees so far, but drawing them freehand ,with varying success !!
Hi, being a amateur power carver myself ive done so many of these and your right they do take ages to draw up. Those trees look good, nicely done.
Thank you! I gave up several times. Had to keep coming back to it but eventually got it right.
@@savvybuilds Why don't you make a template instead of keep printing off designs. Just a thought.
@@phil3332 Yes, that works too. I should have mentioned that in the vid. Thanks!
Super toll😊👍.

Thanks! I'm glad you're subbed! I have another tree idea that I think I'm going to make a video about soon. Different style but also easy to make.

Thanks! I'll have to check him out.
Great video, I should really use my sanding disc more than I currently do. Will have to add these to the list👍 the outcome looks great,
Thanks! It comes in handy for all sorts of rustic projects. Definitely worth trying it out. cheers!
Nice work, probably last a long time too
For years to come!
Cool, I like it…
I suggest Easytak repositionable adhesive. It sprays on so is faster. And it peels off faster.
For ornaments like this an orbital hand sander is ideal...
Hello, great video. Which type of saw do you use? Thanks
A 9 inch delta band saw.
Wow! These are the best looking trees I’ve seen! Which grinder blade are you using?
Just a 120 grit flap disc.
Super
Уважаю людей с Руками!!!!))))
Cool! And all you use is a sanding disc? neat
That's right! Just a sanding disc. I was surprised it worked so well to be honest.
Sweet lookin trees! Just curious where you located 👍

new to this...where do I find the template?
Hi, here is the link: patreon.com/SavvyBuilds

What is a patron?
It's another website that content creators use to add extras. For me, that's where I will be posting PDF files of plans. Some are free, some are paid.
@ thanks! I looked it up and joined it a few days ago.
I will like to buy the tree templates
That's great! I have them on Patreon "Savvy Builds". Thanks!
