This is my favorite youtube video ive ever seen. i am going to spend hours poring over this youtube video until i know every detail of how it was made and spend way too much money on gear until i can successfully replicate it, beginning with buying an isco ultra star immediately. my life has been changed by these gorgeous images, i doubt you could acheive better without renting hollywood quality lenses.
I’m surprised you don’t have a tone of more subscribers. Your videos are cool, but your cineprint16 is legitness! I love your 2x vintage anamorphic film Emulation. Dynamite! I can’t believe that was done on GH5 cause of the DR. THANKS
Love it. Although the bokeh only looks like a 1.33x or lower. Is this due to your aperture settings or the 2x bokeh isn’t very prominent on this adapter?
GODAMN this is beautiful! I got the answers I wanted to know from the comments, thank you for uploading these amazing videos, it gives me the motivation and confidence to learn!
Absolutely lovely frames! I'm thinking about picking up an Isco and have the same set up as you (different taking lens). I'm guessing it is a Nikkor AI-S pancake? PS. Where you double focusing or do you have a variable diopter?
The red. The main difference is in the coatings as far as I’m aware. If you like anamorphic lens flares, get the gold. If you prefer less flaring, get the red.
For the most part, no, I don’t remember cropping that many clips, but there might be a few where it was necessary because of some vignetting. It depends on the IBIS & how much the sensor was moving around during the shot. The taking lens is a Nikon 50mm f/1.8 Ai
So glad to have found your page! This is the sharpest image from isco ultra star n gh5 i’ve ever seen on youtube. Beautiful grade as well.

Nikkor Ai-s 50mm. Double focusing.
@@TomBolles I wonder, when double focusing, is it better to have a taking les with long focus throw? Or short focus throw?
Hey Tom, beautiful footage. Was this with the gold or red isco?
The red. The main difference is in the coatings as far as I’m aware. If you like anamorphic lens flares, get the gold. If you prefer less flaring, get the red.
@@TomBolles I managed to get a gold one on ebay. I like flares but sharpness and clarity is more practical to me.
nd filter used?
Nice, Did you crop the footage or this is how it comes out of the camera? no vignetting with that speedbooster? and what was your taking lens?
For the most part, no, I don’t remember cropping that many clips, but there might be a few where it was necessary because of some vignetting. It depends on the IBIS & how much the sensor was moving around during the shot. The taking lens is a Nikon 50mm f/1.8 Ai
was this totally filmed with double focusing? any diopters/NDs?
Yes, everything was double focusing. No diopters. Variable ND on the front secured with tape lol
beautiful! did you use Vlog?
I know this was a long time ago but can you go through how you color graded this video.
I’ve got a bunch of new videos on my channel about color grading
it would be funny if u put through the fire and the flames as the music
What's the closest focusing distance on this anarmohpic lens?
1.5 meters
Do you use luts ?
