Jesus himself never called anyone Father but God. I am a Christian and in my country we slaughter animal but he is correct in West they don't slaughter. There are many truthful Christians, following rules, fasting, praying, ladies wearing modest. The only difference is that we eat pork meat. True Christians Eastern Orthodox have in total 6 months of fasting. Every Wednesday and Friday, 40 days before Christmas, 48 days before Easter, then 2 more 15 days X 15 days. No animal products. But we are Eastern Christians. Many Palestinians ,Syrians,Lebanese,Iraqis belong to Eastern Christianity. I respect Muslims because a lot of them are pious and by believing in God it's making you a better person. In general, believers but true believers of any religion are better because they know that stealing, lying, killing.... is a sin. Unfortunately, there is a tendency and agenda to remove God from our lives all over the world.

Converting to islam is not a big procedure, it's very simple. It goes like this. " I BEAR WITNESS THAT THERE IS NOTHING WORTHY OF WORSHIP THAN GOD ALMIGHTY ( in arabic called ALLAH) AND MUHAMMAD LAST AND FINAL MESSENGER OF GOD ALMIGHTY. if you are clearly understand this message then by just proclaiming this and understand idol worshipping is wrong, you became muslim. If not understand the message then study. Once you proclaim shahadah all your previous sins will be wiped out. Other things you can study step by step. My opinion is if the message is clear then proclaim shahada. So that what ever you study will get rewards. I come from a family of Orthodox Christians (I was Orthodox), I lived among them and when an animal or birds (chickens etc.) were sacrificed they did not say "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم" for me (it is my opinion) it is haram to eat meat from animals slaughtered by them (Orthodox or Catholic)
A rabbi once told me, that Muslims should be very with kosher food, in that most Kosher food contain hummar which is harram. In their tradition hummar is considered a blessed food.

My understanding is that the vast majority of sheikhs and scholars do in fact permit kosher meat for consumption by Muslims. Like this learned man said, Jews are far more particular in this area than Muslims, kosher laws are far more strict than halal. There is a minority opinion among the Ulemma that does not permit kosher meat because it is not usually the custom of the Jewish butcher - shochet - to say a blessing over every slaughtered animal, but sometimes when a few a slaughtered in quick succession, he would say one blessing for all of them, and that is considered enough. Obviously the opposite is not true - religious Jews can't eat halal. Islam permits many species and types of meat that are prohibited in Judaism, like camels, horses, rabbits and shellfish.

Salam sir..just one qsn when this verse was revealed were the Christians following all what is written in bible and did prophet Mohd pbuh say anywhere in any Hadeeth that Allah has allowed food of ahle kitaab but as they are not following bible for its forbidden now? I want to know here in USA chicken on many places cut by the Machine and they at the time of running the machine they say the Name of Allah, and some use the Tape recorder where it continuously call out the name of Allah and Machines keeps cutting the chicken. will that be consider a Halal chicken?

Converting to islam is not a big procedure, it's very simple. It goes like this. " I BEAR WITNESS THAT THERE IS NOTHING WORTHY OF WORSHIP THAN GOD ALMIGHTY ( in arabic called ALLAH) AND MUHAMMAD LAST AND FINAL MESSENGER OF GOD ALMIGHTY. if you are clearly understand this message then by just proclaiming this and understand idol worshipping is wrong, you became muslim. If not understand the message then study. Once you proclaim shahadah all your previous sins will be wiped out. Other things you can study step by step. My opinion is if the message is clear then proclaim shahada. So that what ever you study will get rewards. We are human beings once we understand message no need to wait long since life have no guarantee.

I come from a family of Orthodox Christians (I was Orthodox), I lived among them and when an animal or birds (chickens etc.) were sacrificed they did not say "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم" for me (it is my opinion) it is haram to eat meat from animals slaughtered by them (Orthodox or Catholic)

My understanding is that the vast majority of sheikhs and scholars do in fact permit kosher meat for consumption by Muslims. Like this learned man said, Jews are far more particular in this area than Muslims, kosher laws are far more strict than halal.
There is a minority opinion among the Ulemma that does not permit kosher meat because it is not usually the custom of the Jewish butcher - shochet - to say a blessing over every slaughtered animal, but sometimes when a few a slaughtered in quick succession, he would say one blessing for all of them, and that is considered enough.
Obviously the opposite is not true - religious Jews can't eat halal. Islam permits many species and types of meat that are prohibited in Judaism, like camels, horses, rabbits and shellfish.
